Dukes of Hazzard Episodes

Since Uncle Jesse celebrates his 100th birthday this year (Denver Pyle born May 11, 1920) and since I am now the same age he was when Dukes debuted and since I'm retired now and have more time I'm doing an episode review. I will watch the shows in order, make a few comment and anybody who wants can add their thoughts on that episode. We should wrap this up before the year ends.

One of the best episodes of the whole series. Alot of fun moments. Flash, Rosco and Enos are just adorable. =) Bo shows some maturity. Trivia: Hurley looks an awful like Dawson from season 4's Ten Million Dollar Sheriff. LOL Daney

For Sunday April 5th's watchalong, we've picked 'Deputy Dukes' from season 1. To open it up to members in Europe, the start time will be 9pm CET/8pm BST/3pm Eastern/2pm Central/1pm Mountain/12 noon Pacific.

On Saturday April 4 at 8pm (US Central Time) we are going to be watching Limo One is Missing. We will meet on this thread and start the episode together on each individual's DVD player and post our thoughts about it. It would be nice if someone else could join Hobie and I. Maybe Hoss could pick an episide and time for Sunday and we could make a weekend of it. Hoss?

I just watch Ghost of General Lee and Granny Annie. I cried. In Ghost of General Lee, I cried when Enos went into the lake and Rosco made a call on the CB. Also when Rosco told Jesse. In Granny Annie, when Rosco was tied up and talking about Boss Hogg. Have you ever cried during an episode?

Hey ya'll I was just curious as to what everybody's favorite show was! Mine is a tie-up between one-armed Bandits and My Son, Bo Hogg The best lines in Bandits are Luke:Ya Cooter where is my car Cooter:Oh I used it to run the sheriff off the road and steal is car Bo: Well why did ya do that? Cooter: He impounded mine, I figured it was only fair! The best lines in My son are Rosco: Bo! Bo! You alright? Boss:Oh he's alright Rosco: I wish he'd say that Thanks all!!

Any least favourite episodes?

OK,let's get a little friction going here! The Dukes was the best series on TV ever,BUT there must be one episode(good though they all were)which got you thinking "Oh come on! They can do better than that!" My nomination would be "Lawman of the year".(season 5). I mean,it was a Rosco show,which should have made it a 'no fail' epsode;but the comedy was completely flat and non-existent,IMO. James Best NOT being funny..who would have thought it! It had Coy and Vance in it. There were'nt even any proper car chases. A Dukes episode without proper car chases? Surely not! Anyway,don't get me wrong;I'm not bashing the Dukes! I love this episode it is really good and It's also really sad when enos jumps in the lake to get bo and luke and comes up with luke's pants and bo's shirt then when rosco tells uncle jesse, daisy, and cooter that's really sad i cried when i saw that, but i really like the episode!! it's really funny when they scare rosco while he's in his office!! Did anyone else cry during this episode??

I noticed from watching all seasons, season 7 as being the worst. There are quite a few scenes of the 'General' landing from a jump or whatnot that looks like an early CGI or even a model set. The general is much longer than it should be and the tires look horrible. Based off seasons1 - 6, does anybody know why they used a smaller budget all of a sudden? -Dave

Hi ya'll! I am currently watching this episode as I am writing this and I have a question for ya'll. The very first time I watched this episode, I cried with Enos when the General went into the pond. Even though I knew good and well the boys hadn't died. I just couldn't take Enos crying, it broke me. I laugh at myself now, but did any one else do the same?

Why are people so hard on this episode?? Its not THAT bad, I mean come on name 1 show that doesn't have a least 1 cheesy episode?? I've seen worse

Howdy from Hazzard Tn. I have a topic worthy of being a poll. What you consider to be Rosco's funniest moments? When has Jimmy Best ever made you laugh the hardest. There are so many to choose from. The only ones that come to mind immediately are: ROUTE 7/11: Rosco mistaking Luke for Enos in the rig. DAYS OF SHINE AND ROSES: After the race when Rosco pulls up at the Boar's Nest in his completely deformed undercover car. I still laugh real hard at that scene. What's your favorite(s)?

I'm having so much fun with the episode reviews I decided to do all 20 cartoon episodes as well. I'll post the first two later today. It's a bit sad that the tradition of Saturday morning cartoons is gone but it sure was a fun era while it lasted.

Just watched A Boy’s Best Friend last night. I remember this one from when it originally aired and I’ve seen it probably once since. Cute episode with the “Flashes”. But, I’d forgotten that they’d overdubbed Danny Cooksey’s (Terry Lee’s) voice, with what sounds like a creepy grown woman trying to sound like a little boy. Why?? I’ve never understood that...he was a child actor and did many other projects—& his voice wasn’t “strange” or off-sounding at all. Why would they need to dub it with someone else...especially with how bizarre & fake it sounded? It actually kind of “throws” the episode...with what otherwise might have been one of the most heart-felt ones.

Anyone know?

Can anyone tell me why Bo was not in this episode? I found it really boring with out Bo.

I searched the forum, but didn't see any mention of this. In episode 2 -- Daisy's Song -- the cousin's go to talk to Cooter. He's working on a white car that looks A LOT like a Chrysler 300(?) from the mid-late '50's. Now, in what little I know -- that was the car that Jerry Rushing used and the car that was in "Moonrunners" -- the 1975 picture penned by Gy Waldron, the Dukes creator. So, the question is: Was that the actual "Traveller" from the movie? Funny too, that Cooter drives the same color scheme Gran Torino in the first episode that Starsky (or Hutch) had in that tv show. This episode bugs me only because of that little boys voice! That voice never sounds right to me when ever I see that episode. Does anyone else have a problem with his voice sounding unnatural? I do like it though when Bo and Luke talk about how it was for them after thier parents died. I like any insight into thier past.

All TV shows have stupid moments or moments when characters do something that makes you want to smack them upside the head and say "WHAT WERE YOU THINKIN?!" Favourite Georgia episodes

I want to ask if someone knows why Bo is missing in some episodes: 2 are in the 6th season ("The fortune tellers" and the one when Dewey Hogg came back pretending to be sick, don't remember the title). The excuse was the Bo was racing in some competition. The other is in the 2nd or 3rd serie and they said he went to spend the week-end in the marines reservation. Someone knows which is the true reason why John wasn't in those episodes? Thanks!
