  1. And now, something crunchy. A little metal for the masses...
  2. The Brewers bit the dust tonight and fell to the Cardinals. I didn't have money (or worse) on this, did I?
  3. So far so good, with the server migration. Looks like we haven't lost a beat; no downtime has been reported. Great job Mufn. Sal-ute!!
  4. I have no idea. Haven't seen a post from her in a very long time. Over the years we've seen people wander off and eventually come back, so hopefully she'll surface again soon.
  5. Ya know, I have to read all the posts in all the topics just to keep an eye on what Roger's gonna say next. Look what I miss when I'm not payin' attention! But he's right, I enjoy the harrassment, it's all in good spirit. Welcome, Jaded Phoenix. Make yourself, and your muse, at home.
  6. My condolences Daney. HNet will always be here to return to, when you can.
  7. I kinda started it with my smarmy little comment, my apologies as well. There's a lot of dry tinder laying around on those subjects these days; tough times will do that. ANYHOW! Back to the usual shenanigans. Hoss, I got another idea/request for Hazzard signs. In the early eps, maybe 1st season, there were some fun signs inside of the Boar's Nest. I think one was the "Boom Boom Room" ? I gotta re-watch and figure it out. I've got a basement bar in my house (though I don't drink that much, the bar came with the house) and I'm thinking of decorating it ala Boar's Nest. Since I got the poles in the middle of the floor too and all that. (they hold up the house, I'd better keep 'em.) I can't be the only nut on the planet who wants to make a basement bar Boar's Nest (say that five times fast) so any resources you have to offer would be an epic contribution to the fandom, adding to your already considerable fame.
  8. Thanks ya'll! And how are people making these car-cakes? It must take tremendous patience. 3 hours to make, 10 minutes to eat. *urp!*
  9. Brianette? Brianinna? Briannella?? Those are new twists...maybe "MaryAnne" would be a better choice! Of course, it's not her birthday. But I dont' want this baby girl to grow up mean onconna having a name she didn't like, then hunt me down and kick my posterior.
  10. Thank ya! Those pictures are great! The basset cake-bandit is very appropriate, and the General Lee cake looks awesome. The GL details look like they're made of frosting?? That could be the first completely edible General Lee I've ever seen. Very cool! Y'all gave me a big smile with the birthday greetings. Thanks again!
  11. Next time the local elections are coming up, I'm gonna print out and pin up a bunch of these re-elect Rosco posters all over town. Heh heh heh. Actually, Rosco in office would be an improvement over some of the chuckle-heads we've got in office now.
  12. It's that time of year, when stuff starts to fly south. Like, our server. If you've experienced slow loading times on any of our pages, we apologize. We've been aware of the issue and are taking steps to resolve it. We have a server migration scheduled for this weekend. It's possible that there may be some temporary downtime of HazzardNet in the process. Hang in there, and we'll have all the scuffs and dents hammered out before ya know it. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
  13. "Not only did I shoot out the radiator, I ripped your CB apart, used up two of your road flares and wasted about three rounds of your shotgun shells. Plus, I busted off your side mirror earlier when I sideswiped your car, and you can add body work to the damage report." *walking around the battered, leaking Caprice* "Looks like you'll be stuck in Hazzard for a couple weeks. Ya know, Jack...I think we can work somethin' out over the car repairs and that old ticket. Wouldja care to negotiate the fine points over a beer at the Boar's Nest?"
  14. And here's an ode to missing parts. One word song title and one word band name, kind of a double bingo on this one.
  15. Ridin' the Storm Out - REO Speedwagon
  16. I'll chime in with:
  17. Now that's a tough one! Dang, I never thought of asking questions off the sountrack album/CD. My first guess is "rabbits" but I don't think that's right. I haven't heard that song in ages, but I got a copy of the soundtrack around here...somewhere!
  18. Nice job! You're also welcome to post artwork in the Image Gallery.
  19. Yes, the October 2011 Fan o' the Month is i1976!! i1976 is a reknown Enos and Daisy fan who joined HazzardNet back in February of 2007! With over 600 posts to our Forums, and with contributions of artwork to our Image Gallery and stories to our Fanfiction sections, i1976 is a creative Dukes of Hazzard fan who certainly deserves recognition! i1976 has always been friendly and encouraging to other members of HazzardNet and sets a great example for Dukes fans everywhere. Join us in congratulating her!
  20. Sorry for the delay in announcing the Oct 2011 Fan of the Month. I have 3 good candidates, all of whom have been around here for years, all worthy of recognition. I didn't get a chance to run them past Mufn or MaryAnne yet. I hope to make the announcement tomorrow, thanks for your patience ya'll!
  21. I agree with both B.L. and Hoss. (on an aside, it would figure that when poor ol' Rosco gets thrown a party, they spell his name wrong. Heh!)
  22. Thank you Cap'n Redneck (welcome back!) and Roger for the kind words. But it's you guys, and all the readers and members like you, who make HazzardNet what it is. Over the years there has been a lot of great conversations here in the forums, along with awesome content and stories contributed by fellow fans. If you enjoy HazzardNet, you should also be thanking the person in the mirror! What would any website be, without the people who visit and participate? And like Roger said, I think it's way cool that Hot Rod did this brilliant cover with the Bandit Trans-Am and General Lee. I can't stop smiling every time I spot the magazine in the store. (some stores are selling out tho'!) Hot Rod could have talked about fuel injection performance, or gear ratios or any other subject, but they gave valuable magazine pages to Dukes of Hazzard and Smokey & The Bandit retrospectives. Awesome. They also did an epic job on that video, and if you haven't seen it, please visit our homepage and find the link to it. It's too much fun to pass up. Thanks ya'll !
  23. I can't wait to use these on the HazzardNet homepage in the near future. Excellent job Hoss!
