  1. Good question there. I would've liked to see the return of Snake Harmon and his gang. They were some colorful, interesting bad guys and I was wishing we could have seen Rosco trying to deal with them in the episode "Jude Emery." I would have enjoyed having a redo on that one, it could have been hilarious.
  2. Continued from prior post....so, I thought the Duke in the dust thing was pretty funny. But Pendragon also has a SIM of yers truly, and here's how that went... Nice horsie! Bad horsie.... SIMS 3 looks like an absolute blast. I've never had the game, but have lived vicariously (and perhaps literally) through her versions of the game.
  3. Pendragon does have SIMS 3 and she's shared a few photos with me. I don't have 'em all at my fingertips, but here's one of a Luke Duke SIM having a horseback ride. Sorta.
  4. Our homepage has been updated with all the latest Dukes news! As of today's date anyhow. Take a look!
  5. Per the latest from Tom Wopat, tickets for the Fallsview Casino show go on sale Jan 13!
  6. Great info, Hoss! I don't know how you figure this stuff out, it never fails to impress me!
  7. Sorry for the dry spell here. We have plenty of HNet members worthy of the fan of the month, but I got busy with a double-dose of "real life" stuff and ended up AWOL from HNet for awhile. So, I'm behind on Home page articles, the newsletter, and this! Thanks for your patience while I sort it all out. I hope to have a Fan o' the Month for Feb announced soon.
  8. Ya know after catching up on this topic, I had to pop in my DVD of "The Dukes of Hazzard - The Beginning." I've got a copy of the Unrated version, which is not family-friendly. (It's kind of like "Porky's" meets "The Dukes of Hazzard".) That said, there were a couple scenes in there that still make me smile, like this one: ( the following clip is safe for all ages.) Bo drives the General for the 1st time - "The Beginning"
  9. Quick updates - early bird tickets are on sale for Hazzard Homecoming 2012 at Cooter’s Place. Looks like if you buy now through March 31, 2012, tickets are $20 for a two-day pass. However, there’s no announcement yet on the cast lineup or musical guests, or other entertainment. You save a little money getting tickets in the early stages, but you take your chances on what you’re gonna get. Registration for General Lees and Hazzard vehicles opens on Feb 1st, 2012. On an aside, Tom is currently on the movie set of “Django Unchained.” With any luck he’ll be done filming well before Homecoming, if he wants to participate. Thus far there are no new Broadway obligations on the radar, but that could change. Broadway shows run for months – Hazzard Homecoming is one weekend. If he lands a new Broadway role, Tom would have to go where the money is. I take it as a positive sign that Tom is doing a concert with John Schneider in April 2012. It kind of sets the tone for another matchup at Homecoming. We made a subtle attempt to find out what Tom’s plans were, but so far we haven’t got a response. ( This is normal. If a Dukes of Hazzard website sent you email, would you take it seriously? Well, ya should, if it’s from us.) For now, keep your fingers crossed, and we’ll keep ya posted!
  10. I'd like to see Don Pedro at Hazzard Homecoming. He used to be at DukesFest here and there but I think it's been awhile since he participated. Saw him a couple of times at some Dukes events and he was always good to talk to.
  11. Welcome Sean / UK Duke! You're in good company, we have some international fans hanging out here. Hazzard County spans the globe! Enjoy, and make yourself at home.
  12. HazzardNet officially does not get into political stuff. Just so ya know. I can tell ya that if we did, the first thing that would happen is MeadowMufn and I would probably be in a Boar's Nest-style fight. That said in disclaimer, this article features Ben Jones and some insights into his past political career. Gotta hand it to Ben on some of his down-home tactics: http://www.salon.com/2011/12/12/when_cooter_took_on_newt/singleton/ Again, HNet doesn't officially endorse one party or the other or any candidate or anything anywhere. This article is shared for Dukes of Hazzard related purposes as it applies to a cast member. 'Nuff said. Khee...the bloodhounds were a nice touch, tho'. Bahahaha!
  13. Tell Mr. Wright that HazzardNet says howdy! We'd all like to see the "Enos" series become available on DVD. Last time we asked Warner Bros. home distribution about it, they implied a "maybe" but we haven't heard anything since.
  14. I'm gonna say "D", weight lifting. Enos was always stronger than he looked. I remember a scene where Daisy dropped a key down into her shirt; Enos apologized for "having to do his duty" and bodily picked her up and moved her out of the way. Then he bashed down the locked door. There was also a time where he bodily picked up Rosco and moved him aside.
  15. Your work always amazes me, Hoss! This is excellent.
  16. As a drummer and former band captain, I have great memories of this kinda stuff. But it sounds like you're feeling a little pressured by your friends. At the same time, you're curious. Whether it's band, sports, or what have ya, there's always a certain commitment level that goes along with this stuff. Your heart has to be in it to keep showing up to practice and to do well at performances. If you're having a great time, it'll never seem like work. If you don't enjoy it tho', it'll be an obligation of your time that you could come to regret. Why not discuss this with the band director, and see if you can join on a trial basis? Give yourself an out if you need it. If you have enough friends already in it, you'll probably enjoy yourself - as well as make new friends in the process. It kinda depends what other sort of demands you have on your time though, and what other activities you may have to cut back on. Good luck!
  17. You might be surprised by the number of people who will comment positively on a Dukes shirt. And with the General Lee consistently voted as the #1 car of all time, ever, in anything.....the show can't be all that unpopular, can it? Not everybody digs the Dukes of Hazzard, but not everybody digs...whatever is popular right now, I've no idea what that would be.
  18. Bahahahaha! MaryAnne's turned 21 a lot. But, I won't reveal her actual age ( I don't have the necessary degree in anthropology, for one thing) because she and I have a pact in that respect. I've turned 21 a lot too.
  19. Well said, Roger. That's what it's all about. K-Duke15, there's far worse things you could be into! But I understand, some people don't "get" the Dukes of Hazzard. Rest assured though, there's plenty of people who love it as you do. Garrett, you also said it well...it's what's within, more than what we have. John Schneider said once, during an interview, that there are no "casual" Dukes fans. If people are into the show they're into it big, they see the Dukes as family. All of us here see other Dukes fans as family, too. I've waxed on about the show before and the kind of real-life impact it's had for me. What I may not have mentioned before is, I was a big fan as a kid, and then I "grew up" for awhile...and then when life started kicking me down, I turned back to the show as a sort of refuge. (this was pre-HazzardNet.) There was something about it that put me at ease; after all, there were always happy endings in Hazzard County. The show's continual optimism helped me through dark times. And still does. But the reason I'd rate myself a 10 on the fan scale, is because I want to share it with other people. In fact I consider all you guys 10's for the same reason. You're participating in discussions. We all contribute, in our own way, to the longevity and legacy of the show. And whenever I've been to DukesFest, or any fan event and I see some little kid with a toy General Lee in his hands...it makes me smile. It renews my hope for the future generations, that an entire culture of rural values, of attitudes and optimisims, will not be lost.
  20. Sonny needs to ask Santa for a new Deputy hat. That thing is a mess! Thanks for finding the link with the newspaper photos, Alex-Dukes!
  21. Howdy there, welcome to HazzardNet! So far you're doing just fine. You can jump in to any topic you'd like and chime in with your two cents. Feel welcome to click on stuff, hit buttons, mess around. If you need help with anything just whistle!
  22. By golly...it's funny you bring up Dukes videos, 'cause we've been posting some! For those who haven't already seen them, there's a shortcut right at the bottom of the Forums screen. There's an orange toolbar down there. Click YouTube Dukes of Hazzard videos on the toolbar, and wallah! Because of copyright, we can't post full episodes (Warner Bros would hang us then sue us) so we've been focusing on rare scenes that have been deleted during syndicated re-runs. Also we post clips of special moments or insightful/funny scenes that are just plain fun to watch. See the info section of each video for scene details and factiods. If you do not see the toolbar at the bottom of the Forums screen, you can visit the YouTube channel here. We got 30 clips so far and more are coming. You can also watch our Facebook page for new clips as they're posted.
  23. In honor of ol' Enos returning to Covington on Dec 3rd, here's a clip from the last Dukes of Hazzard episode filmed in Georgia: "High Octane." In this scene, Bo and Luke play a mean shuck n' jive on Enos.
  24. Behold, the last post by knightprowl. Mufn, you have my vote.
