  1. Hoss, you have an amazing eye for detail. Great detective work once again!
  2. You're on. There's plenty of baseball left to play, but the Brewers are on a roll.
  3. I'm sure we can help ya figure it out. I'll private message a couple questions and hopefully we can get some of these pics up for everyone to enjoy.
  4. Thought you'd enjoy that one! And now, here's something for those who are just hanging around for cheesecake photos. In this picture, I'm not sure if Daisy is climbing into her car head-first, or if she's looking for spare change, or what. Mind you, her car doors opened, so there's no excuse for this pose other than for the ratings boost.
  5. You might be the only one who finished the challenge, at this point! Which would automatically make you the winner. Sorry I missed your earlier posts in this topic, I was out of action for awhile. I know MaryAnne has a process for accepting submitted fanfic and it's probably on one of the other threads. I know she's keeping an eye on my posts since I've been mouthing off, so hopefully she'll see this and chime in. If not I will follow up with ya.
  6. Heh! First of all, I dig that megaphone-enhanced General Lee. Never know what Hoss is gonna come up with next. Roger, don't worry. The administrative meetings that MaryAnne and I have, are no worse than the posts you see on HazzardNet. (but not any better, either.) Besides, this could be your chance to weigh in on discussions in progress. Or simply spy on us.
  7. Like, how the Atlanta Falcons were gonna knock out the Packers in last season's playoffs?
  8. Oh, I'm not saying you couldn't win by the virtue of your own attributes. I just can't discuss this further without getting into trouble one way or another. Let me escape this mess by pointing out that climbing into a car through the window takes grace and skill. Even then, sometimes it doesn't look real graceful. Here's Luke, with one leg up: Gotta watch that door handle. Why keep the door handle on the car once the doors are welded shut, anyway? There's a lot of ways you can hurt yourself doing stuff like this. Take a look at this vid clip where Byron "Coy Duke" Cherry bounces off the car. Feel better about entering the contest now, MaryAnne?
  9. If all else, it puts more pressure on us to actually get stuff done that we're talkin' about, which ain't a bad thang. Since I'm on vacation for the next few days, maybe we should hook up in chat next weekend to get back on track. That'll give me time to get some pies ready, too.
  10. So, who do you think the Brewers will be playing in the World Series?
  11. I think the audience there would be ok with that. Actually, you'd probably break the side mirror with your high-heeled boot or something. If there were points given for collateral damage I'd place you in the top 3.
  12. Glad to hear it went well. Ya know, if it's always going to be once a month, I might make the Fan o' the Month announcement at the meetings and then follow up with the postings to the homepage and Forums. In the odd chance the recipient is at the meeting, they can enjoy the live salute from us. Or, I might forget by Oct 1st that there's a meeting, so you'll need to remind me. Meantime, MaryAnne and I might make our administrative meetings public once in awhile. Pretty much we sit around and bicker about our to-do list and throw pies at each other. We usually accomplish this (and less) in AIM; we would be just as ineffective in the HNet chat.
  13. Why not share it with the rest of us? A picture paints a thousand words and all that....
  14. Roger, this is a great idea. Unfortunately I can't attend this one but I'll try to catch it next week. I'll also mention it in on the home page for next week. Try to keep MaryAnne out of trouble in the meantime. You get her into these group chats and things turn into chaos.
  15. Man, and here I thought the questions would get a little easier now that Hoss isn't coming up with them! Hmm...I'm gonna go with "f", Meadows. It's the only one that sounds right after going through the list.
  16. I know, some people have it tough. Speaking of tough, I don't know who I'm going to get to provie a report of the Daisy Duke contest at the Allen's Grove Boar's Nest this year. I was thinking MaryAnne would enter the Daisy Duke contest, but she's allergic to Wisconsin.
  17. Redneck girl 01 is our Fan of the Month for September 2011! Well-deserved and long overdue, we're happy to recognize her for her contributions to HazzardNet and to the Dukes of Hazzard fandom as a whole. Please join us in congratulating her!
  18. For those paying attention to the home page, y'all know we're listing the Boar's Nests we can find that may relate to the Dukes of Hazzard in some way. I'll keep track of 'em here. I've got a couple more in addition to what's already on the home page. As a bonus, I've found a couple more pics of the aforementioned BN Daisy Duke contest in Allen's Grove. This is the talent portion of the BN Allen's Grove Daisy Duke contest. The competitors must slide in and out of a General Lee and show their style and grace. This guy standing behind the contestant is a safety assitant, to make sure a lady doesn't fall while performing this feat of agility. This gal has the...assets, for the Daisy Duke gig, but she looks to be confused on how to climb in and out of the car. Nobody seems to mind. And next...oh, I should post the actual Boar's Nest list I have so far, before I post more cheesecake photos. Awright: ***The Boar’s Nest - Allen’s Grove, WI - Dukes related **The Boar’s Nest – Center Valley, WI - Dukes related The Boar’s Nest - Mingus, TX The Boar’s Nest - Athens IL The Boar’s Nest – Ham Lake, MN Boar’s Nest BBQ - Fayetteville, AR Now, another pic! Here's a gal that looks a lot like Daisy. And Daisy Duke herself, Catherine Bach, in classic style:
  19. Nice work! Good craftmanship. I'm sure the bike took a lot of time and patience. Hand-painting the flag and letters especially. Pretty countryside there, too! Looks like you had a good holiday in Hazzard County.
  20. bucket (going with the janitor thing) ( thanks for the cartoon clip Hoss, I haven't seen that one in years. Heh!)
  21. Just found out about this. My condolences to Glenn's family and friends. I had met him a couple of times at Dukes events, he was a good-natured guy. I'm sad to hear of his passing.
  22. And for everyone's convenience, here's a link to Roger's terrific write-up of the show! Click n' scroll to Roger's new post: Roger's Report of Ray's Stunt Show!
