  1. Plymouth, can you please tell me the number on the box for this model, I must have it, but I can't see the Item # of it...thank you/...
  2. I remember this....but I was unable to get it at the time..........* the watch I mean....
  3. what's in my collection??? Hmmm, this town sucks when it comes to that....However, I purchased a '69 charger metal body Model 1:25 scale, bought the fake general lee model for the decals and started making my own model of the General lee. I will post pics soon, I had to grind the roof of the charger since it was a hard top model, I used chrome tape to make the trim for the windshield and back window, and now I am working on the trim that goes around the quater panel and around the rear glass.... I went to the print shop , and got the letters made in blue and white, for the " General Lee " words, since the fake had black and white(eww), and used the flag and O1 from the other kit. The flag is a little short, so I will be going to the print shop to make the right lenght. I also paid $20, to get the right licence plate for the General lee, sayin Hazzard on it and all, nice touch , I think. The roll bars will be made custom(by hand) , using some of the parts from the other model, as the same applies for the push bar up front. Can't wait to show you all, making my own model of the General, is almost as much work as what Bottom showed of his real General Lee...lol *Note*.... I also have all the 7 seasons of the dukes of course, and movies...now what I want is a 1:16 scale PLASTIC model of the General Lee.
  4. Awww, I read what every one had to say, and what got me most is that you got to talk to James(Roscoe) and the hard time he had to make that scene work in the reunion....I wish I could have been there... I have both reunion movies on tape, and recently(3 months ago), finally got the second reunion on dvd. Sense we are on the end of the dukes< I forget the name now, where uncle Jessie got hurt, looking for the bounty hunter that Roscoe hired, how sad it was when bo was saying"wake up uncle Jessie", that brought tears to my eyes... Or when everyone thought Bo and Luke died in a car chase and Roscoe had to tell the news to Jessie, now that was a safe cracker, I could not help it, I cried when I seen the change in Uncle Jessie's face......
  5. Thank you Meadowmufn, I remember you as well, and you have many great posts as well, yeah, depression can sure drain a person, but I will get help and it sure is nice I have support from all of you here, just like a family, my duke fan family.
  6. Thank you Garrett, I appreciate that, and I am not going anywhere from now on.
  7. Thank you so much Daisymae, appreciate you stopping by...*HUGS*
  8. Roger, that was so... i don't know what to say...all I know is , i can't thank you enough for being there for me, and when I finally catch up on here, i will read what you had to say as well. I am lucky to have even found this site, and believe it or not, it's what kept me going, even in my abscence, because the whole idea of this forum and of the TV show, it's a family matter, and we , as duke fans always stick together. Like uncel Jessie once said," Once a friend of a duke, you have a friend for life." That is so true her ,when it comes to you and all whom responded to this thread, GOD bless you all!!!!
  9. Hey all, I been away for awhile, and it feels great to be back. I have popped in here and there and now and again, but now gona stick around more. I have been fighting depression for a spell now, trying to fight it on my own, but all that did was drag me down even further. I had no desire to live, or do anything like I used to love to do, like being on here, making model cars and so on. I was on Zorpia, figuring if I help others with their problems, I could better deal with mine, that so did not work. I finally realized I have to go see my doctor and get some help, I realized this because I almost made a friend turn on me. Anyways, the last few weeks I have been better, started taking care of myself more and going back to what I once was. These last few days on here has been great, it actually felt right for me to be here, just like the first time I joined, and I love the atmosphere here, and how like family it feels every time I sign in. All in all, I just wanted to share this , to let you all know why I was absent and that I am glad to be back, and that my account was not canceled due to lack of signing in. Later all, Euclide Richard!
  10. I hope this works, and if it does, it is a little long, but not to a duke fan. http://www.rockyou.com/show_my_gallery2.php?instanceid=123540632 I wish I could have just put on the forum itself, but apparently i can't. I hope you enjoy the show, it's something I wanted to do, to show my appreciation for making me feel like family, even if I was gone for a wee bit.
  11. Hey Tombo, I just spent the last 25 minutes looking at every single picture from the very first to the very end. I haven't been on in months, but this past 25 minutes were the best time I ever did spend. Once I passed my last comment I post to your thread, I was in awwww, on how much work there was to restoring a '69 charger into your own general lee, and I was thinking, OMG, if I want to do this, I have a lot of steps to follow, still want to do it? Then I thought, hell yes, don't care how long it takes, I still want to make my own General Lee, just as soon as I can fund it. I can't thank you enough, or praise the work you have put into making this General Lee of yours and sharing your steps with us, I was like a kid who was over thrilled and pumping with excitement as I viewed each step carefully. This was so incredible to me, so very incredible, thank you again for sharing your love for building your very own General Lee, awesome works!!!!
  12. I would so have flipped out had I pulled in some place with my own General Lee and someone ask me where johnny or Jessica was, hopping mad I would have been...grrrr Of course , being the way I am , i would have asked them, "Who the hell are they?", just to piss them off...lol
  13. If you have Nero smart, you can get the videos you made and hook it up to your computer, and you can either load it (not sure how), or Get Nero to retreive it and burn it on a cd. When you have time for more pics of your trip, that would be great, I would so enjoy that immensly.
  14. awwww, man, I would so have loved to seen that, look at that model scale boars nest and cars, like wow! I would have been in heaven to even meet one cast from the Dukes of hazzard, just one.
  15. I am so sad that they never have such an event here in the maritimes, and I always wanted to go to ones in the state, but could never afford to go. By the way Dukefan1, that pic you have on your profile, is that the one next to cooter's place??? I see on the net, inside the store, and I could have sworn they had a plastic 1:16 model of the General Lee on the shelf, still in the box. I tried to zoom in so I could see the box number, so I can try to get it ordered, what a hard model car to get my hands on.
  16. I had the experience as well Dukefan1, a '69 charger , rotting away beside a barn. I asked them if they wanted to sell it. They said it's a package deal, they had another one inside the barn, and the one outside was for parts only. They were so mean, they would not even let me see either cars, all because someone was "supposedly" buying it. Then I asked just to have a look at the one outside and they would not let me near it, was I ever mad, like I told them, it's not like I am gona steel any part of it , me driving a '79 malibu.....was I ever fuming....
  17. Ok Meadowmufn, but not sure where the ad thing is???? I am looking a (PLASTIC MODEL, 1:16 SCALE OF THE GENERAL LEE), that's what the ad would be about....
  18. RPG????, well I always wanted to be Bo, am 43 though, see a poet and did not know it, ewww...I know , lame...lol Seriously though, I always wanted to be Bo, because he drove the General Lee more then Luke did, and I so love to drive and learn how to handle a car...
  19. what can I say, am 43 knocking on 44 in April...lol
  20. yeah, Strange visitor was the only time Bo and Luke drove the General Lee at night...However, in the movie 2005, they drove the General at night , which was cool to see on the big screen:)
  21. Savickster, yeah that was the same show, see they frigged with jessie's car, so boss would get jailed and they could steel his moonshine still, once the dukes figured out it was the beaudry's, they chased them. The beaudry's tired to trick the dukes through some of their traps, but at the end, the beaudry's ended up in their own trap. " Oh, welcome to the club by the way.:P"
  22. I guess I have to suscribe before I can put a want add huh?
  23. Ok Roger, that sounds good to me, that's a great Idea and I have just the thing, I will post another one on the last week of January and set up my rules, thanks for the help and for welcoming back on !!!!
  24. Needless to say, neither one deserves to be in "The dukes of hazzard fan club award" by any means, but if I had to chose, I would chose the "beginning one over the 2005 one. Last time I remember, Bo and Luke started in an old pick up and they had built an racing Engine but had no car for it.Uncle Jessie, swallowed his pride a little and went to Boss for a loan, so the boys could find a car to fit that motor. Boss, being the way he was, intended to charge out outrageous loan rates, until Daisy stepped in and said she would work at the boars nest, only if boss agreed to Jessie's terms for a loan. Then Bo and Luke, went hunting for the perfect car, which ended up being a black '69 charger, and that's when the General Lee came into being, thus, the Beginning of The Dukes of Hazzard.
