Not really a blooper, but an oddity. When Bo and Luke borrow Cooter's pickup near the end of 'People's Choice', Cooter says, "Do me a favor. Put a couple of dollars' worth of gas in there." Coooter was just leaving his garage where the town's gas pumps are located, so if it was low on gas, why didn't he put some in the tank?

Dukes of Hazzard Fun Facts
HossC replied to Skipper Duke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
I'm just wondering where you found this information, because IMDb.com says that Black Jack Perrill was voiced by Jeffrey Buckner Ford (as Jeffrey Ford). I can see a resemblance between the character of Black Jack Perrill and Jack Palance, but can't find any other connection between the two. As an aside, was it just a coincidence that the game had Black Jack Perrill and 'The Meeting' in season 2 had Black Jack Bender? Boss used to run 'shine to Chicago for the latter. Funnily enough, Black Jack Bender refers to Boss as Curly, which was the name of Jack Palance's character in 'City Slickers'. -
Sorry, Roger, I can't believe that I forgot. I hope you had a good one.

I must've had a busy week, Roger, because you were almost back before I realized you'd gone. As Dan Hicks once said, "How can I miss you when you won't go away?" Of course, in reality, I agree with Hobie's comment.

I've used something similar. What I'd really like is a router table so that I could make my own mouldings.

Michèle Mouton nearly won the WRC in 1982, eventually finishing a close second. She also won the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 1985, setting a new record, and won her class in the 1975 Le Mans 24-hour race. Looking back, it's interesting to see how some drivers competed in such a variety of events.

Welcome to HNet, Dan. Looking at your interests, I'd say you'll fit right in here. I thought the name sounded familiar - I see that your first post was about Daisy's cars a few months ago.

Another hijack of the thread for a belated tribute. On March 16th we lost German racing driver Sabine Schmitz after a four year battle with cancer. She was just 51. Despite having a successful racing career, it was her first appearance on 'Top Gear' that brought the "Queen of the Nürburgring" to a worldwide audience. The Nürburgring is a 12.9 mile track with 147 corners that's located in the middle of a German forest. Sabine was born there and knew the track better than anyone. Here's the Top Gear Special tribute which aired last night. It includes contributions from TG presenters old and new as well as a variety of people from the world of motorsport.

Thanks for posting the video, Spike. At 17:16 - "The Duke brothers' car, the General Lee...". The caption writer obviously wasn't a fan. I laughed at the guy right at the end who said the traders were an insult to Pez community!

I saw a meme earlier that said, "April Fool's day is over. Everything on the internet is true again."

With nothing good on TV last night, I decided to watch 'Blazing Saddles' again. I'd forgotten that Burton Gilliam had one of the lead parts and featured in a DVD extra documentary. Here he is in the movie. It's one of the screengrabs I posted in the Hazzard Square thread, because they used the Warner Brothers Western set which was next to Midwest Street at the time - see all the pictures here. -

After Rosco deputizes Bo and Luke in 'Deputy Dukes' and promises that they'd be the only three to know... Rosco: "I gave you my word, didn't I?" Balladeer: "Now, about Rosco's word. He has to have somebody else call his dogs...because they don't even believe him anymore." -

The actor is Burton Gilliam - his other Dukes appearance was as Tom Colt in 'Double Sting' (minus the mustache). Maintaining the "Colt" connection, he played the Colt gun salesman in 'Back to the Future III'. You may also know him from 'Blazing Saddles' or classic 80s shows like 'Knight Rider', 'The A-Team' or 'The Fall Guy'. Or the Irishman who's always bouncing off the walls? Rick O’Shea! There's actually an Irish radio personality who goes by the pseudonym Rick O'Shea, which reminds me that there's a radio DJ from near here who now works in the UK who uses the name Robin Banks. -
Congratulations, Roger, I missed that landmark. I managed to pass the post count of the recently mentioned DaisyMaeDuke last week, but I'm still nearly 1,000 behind BoJamesDuke and l don't even have half of your score!

Thanks for the reminder, Roger. I'd forgotten that it was Sadie Hogg Day today. Here's an early bit of my Fan Art.

I'd like to see that. I know the parameters are completely different, but F1 cars run in the rain, and they're often among the best races!

I can recommend Classic Shell if she doesn't like the Windows 10 start menu.

To wander briefly off-topic, while I was watching a bit of last night's race there was a commercial for Dr. Pepper Cream Soda. This is the first time I've heard of it, and unless any of the expensive specialist shops here stock it, I doubt that I'll get to try it. I just wanted to know if it was any good as I like Dr. Pepper and cream soda separately. Maybe I'll just mix my own!

Thanks, Spike. I haven't watched any NASCAR races for ages, but had to tune in for a few laps last night. A dirt race is certainly different. I just got to see the end of stage 1 before bed. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. obviously made a good comeback - he was slipping into the mid-teens when I was watching.

I don't think I've visited either of those sites. www.hazzardonline.com still appears to be available, but there's no trace of www.dukefarm.com. I know of a few other Dukes sites that are still running, but I can also name some that have disappeared over the past decade. HazzardNet may well be the only remaining Dukes forum after cglfc.com shut down about five years ago. I never joined cglfc.com, but I did read posts there from time to time. At the end of the day, it costs money to keep places like HazzardNet alive. We should be thankful that our Supreme Superior Commander is such a dedicated Dukes fan!

I'd have to agree with you, Hobie. After Waylon, none of balladeers in the movies that followed left any lasting impression on me. The only one I really remember at all is Mac Davis in the 'Hazzard in Hollywood' movie because he appeared on screen a few times. Lots of the things Waylon said are worth quoting, but I can't immediately think of a single quote from any of the others.
