  4. I'm sure that Roger would've loved my day out today. No motorbikes, but all sorts of farming machinery on display. This is usually the time of year for the National Ploughing Championships, but this year it's also Ireland's turn to host the World Ploughing Championships (BTW. "ploughing" is just the correct way to spell "plowing" ). It's normally where I pick up my year's supply of free pens, but freebies were thin on the ground this year. Due to Covid, it's the first time that the event has been held since 2019. It's now the fourth time I've been to the event, and I still haven't seen any actual ploughing (it's done on neighboring fields). What most of the nearly 300,000 visitors go for are the stalls and stands selling all manner of goods and services.

  7. His appearances in Bewitched and various other shows are mentioned in the Question About Hobie thread that you created in 2014. Some of the confusion about the actor's identity that I wrote about in 2014 now seems to have been sorted out on IMDb. It looks like Paul Smith (AKA. A.P. Smith/A. Paul Smith etc.) was in 9 episodes as Bewitched, mainly as police officers ('Oedipus Hex' was his second appearance).

  9. I noticed that one of the DVD reviews complained that the episodes were in the wrong order because Daisy's yellow car reappears after she gets the Jeep. They obviously didn't know that this was a studio continuity error from the start. Having said that, I do seem to recall that two of my DVDs are labeled incorrectly - disc 3 is actually disc 4 and vice versa.

  11. I wondered if a mid-90s song by the British indie band The Bluetones called 'Marblehead Johnson' had any connection to Marblehead, especially when I saw that Johnson's Island is only a couple of miles to the south, but it turns out it was a reference to an album by comedian Bill Hicks. The lighthouse looks like a great place to watch a sunset, and it's celebrating its 200th anniversary this year.
  12. There's plenty available on eBay.
  13. Just after 11pm here.
  14. But I've already done 'D' - we need an 'E'.
  15. We used to do that a few years ago when we had a chatroom on HNet, although I think it was Saturday night. The problem for me is the time difference. I'm just about to go to bed and most of you guys are probably still at work!
  16. DAVID Graf Better known as Tackleberry in the Police Academy movies, he played a bad guy in 'The Canterbury Crock'. Miss Crumbly let Cletus out of first grade.
  17. There are several 1:25 General Lee decal sets available on eBay for $5-$10. There used to be a member here on HNet who made Dukes decals, but I think he stopped making them a few years ago.
  18. Except that I already played BRUCE Howard, so we're looking for a 'C'.
  19. I can't help much I'm afraid. I bought them as individual seasons, and mine are PAL/Region 2 formatted, so they may differ from those available in the US. None of the listings or reviews that I've seen for the sets you asked about mention being remastered, only repackaged. The descriptions do seem to vary in the number of discs they claim to contain - 33, 40 and 52 discs can all be found. My sets came with a couple of seasons on double sided discs, so that might explain the different numbers. While not ideal, I'd rather have double sided discs than reduced quality due to more episodes being squeezed onto each disc. There should be no more than three episodes per disc (side) plus the occasional DVD extra. The picture quality on my set is what I expected. It looks fine on TV, but you can see slightly ragged edges when viewed on my laptop.
  20. BRUCE Howard Writer of over a dozen episodes of Dukes. He claimed that work was harder to get after Dukes started showing up on his résumé. That was after it took him three years to live down writing for Gilligan's Island! Yes, I played it about three weeks ago.
  21. I think you're right. I was just pointing out that not every General was painted that color, and as you say, stunt cars were often painted with whatever orange was available.
  22. You forgot to mention that the General was green in 'Southern Comfurts'. Regarding the color, apparently they used Big Bad Orange in the movies. For the series, it's widely published that the General was Corvette Flame Red, but I found a 2020 article which includes a video of Travis Bell on Ed Bolian's VINwiki YouTube channel. He claims to have color-scanned the trunk of the original General and found the color to be TNT Express. That's a color I'm familiar with because it was used by the TNT Express shipping company (similar to FedEx or UPS), and I'd often see their trucks on the motorway. It looks like TNT Express was bought out by FedEx nearly a year ago. Here's the video:
  23. The image is similar to the one on IMCDb, but it's a screengrab that I made and host in my Photobucket account. I originally posted it in the Dukes of Hazzard Diecast Models thread.
  24. I think it was the '73 Road Runner that they had trouble getting parts for, despite it being a later model. I'm pretty sure that the decision to switch to the Jeep was mainly because of the sponsorship, although it also meant that we got to see more of Cathy's legs! You should probably check out image hosting sites. Flickr lets you host up to 1,000 images for free. Here's a picture of the Satellite (which they painted to look like the later Road Runner):
  25. Welcome to HNet, tmgomez. The car looks great. For anyone who's interested in buying the car, just be aware that the sale has no connection to HazzardNet. Any deals are between members.
