As far as I know there wasn't a 24kt gold General Lee. Supercar Collectibles made 22kt gold Generals; they did 8 clean and 8 dirty, so they're pretty rare. The last clean ones I saw on ebay went for about $1500 each, and the last dirty ones were about $1000 each. Ertl also released a gold 'Barris' edition which was 18kt gold (different color finish) - they made 100 of these so, while slightly less rare, they're still several hundred dollars. The rarest that I own is the plain black 'Authentics' version by Supercar Collectibles - this is one of 150 made (and it's not for sale). Roger is back to winning ways. The boarding house was Cottonwood. After some discussion in the Hazzard Square thread we agreed it was the house on the corner next to Boss's house (opposite the other boarding house where Enos stayed). TL;DR Only kidding . Thanks for an in-depth and honest review of the Hazzard Homecoming, warts and all. It sounds like you and your mama had a great time, even if it was on the expensive side. You'd think that there should be a better way to organize the queueing, but if there was, surely they'd have found it by now - it's not like this is the first time they've held an event like this. One idea they can have for free: anyone who fails to turn off their camera flash automatically gets to donate $5 to charity. It would either stop the perpetrators, or raise a heap of money for good causes . Checked out your great Facebook photos too - it must have been hot wearing that '01' mask all day .

Back on page 3 of this thread I tried to identify the black car with the white roof from 'Southern Comfurts': I forgot about it until the other day when I was getting some screengrabs from 'Enos's Last Chance' and spotted the car again: These were the best pictures I could get, but they were enough to identify it as a 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V (so I was at least one year out ). The back of the roofline looks like it dips slightly in the picture on the left, so it may be a convertible. There's one for sale on ebay at the moment for $35k. Here's what they look like from the front:

I've just watched the crash again on YouTube. To be fair to Said, it looks like he held his line around the outside and Ragan moved across the front of his car (see this video from 4:35 onwards). After seeing the post-race interview it would be easy to assume that Said wrecked Ragan on purpose, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

I was looking forward to the race, and it's a shame I only got to see 25 laps, and several of them under caution. The bit I did see was exciting. It's a pity they won't run in bad weather. When they did the car swap at WGI they had rain at the start of the session and put some wet weather tires on both cars. The F1 cars run in quite bad conditions, but they have the aerodynamic advantage of huge downforce to push them into the track - in theory the cars could drive along the ceiling!. The Biffle/Said fight seemed to get out of hand. I've seen drivers confront each other after a race, and even the odd punch thrown, but I think Boris is taking things a bit far. At least you have a race this weekend, I'm just over halfway through the three week summer break in F1 . It's probably a good idea for the employees - the factories have to shut for two weeks out of the three. It's such a high-tech sport that they'd be working around the clock otherwise. Doesn't mean that I don't miss the racing though. My next race is the weekend after next at the historic Spa-Francorchamps track in Belgium. Like WGI it also has a chicane called the 'Bus Stop' - don't know which one came first. Spa opened in 1920, WGI had it's first race in 1948, but I can't see the Bus Stop on early maps of Spa. Having said that, the original Spa track was over nine miles long and took in a couple of local villages. Due to its location in the Ardennes Forest there's normally a good chance of rain, and I'm looking forward to that .

Two things that are hard to believe: 1) Boss was only charging 5¢ an hour (a nickel an hour or 12 minutes for a penny). I guess they must have been old meters. 2) MaryAnne got a question wrong (as did Roger and BL - sorry). Q. What was the name of the boarding house that featured briefly in 'Enos's Last Chance'?: A) Bear Creek Cottonwood C) Fox Hollow D) Paradise Valley E) Whispering Pines (I found it shared its name with a golf course in Canada, so the other answers are also Canandian golf courses).

Happy to oblige CD. I think you're right, that does look like Scanlon's car in the background, although it's not there when the Dukes get back to town. Here's the scene with a later shot of his car inset. There's a couple of other continuity mistakes in that episode. As Scanlon is driving the patrol car it briefly changes from a Plymouth Fury to an AMC Matador just before it comes up behind the orange truck. After he dumps the patrol car, Scanlon makes off in his green car which clearly has a dent over the rear door handle. The dent has gone next time we see the car. Not too sure about this one. Whoever is playing Enos seems to be reluctant to turn around. This is the best shot I could get, and Cooter's hat blends into his face, making his top lip look bigger. I think you're right, but I'll leave it up to others to decide.

I got to see the last 25 or so laps when I got in from work. I came in just at the point that Denny Hamlin had a bad crash - something broke, locking his front wheel and cutting his brakes. It looked nasty, but he walked away and later praised the 7-point safety belt in his car (some of the others only have 5-point belts). I think they said Jeff Gordon was leading at that time, but the caution came out just when he was due a pit stop. He came back out in about 21st place, quickly got up to 13th, but could get no further. Kyle Busch was leading the restart after Paul Menard hit the barrier with a few laps to go, but got passed by Brad Keselowski and then Marcos Ambrose, who then took the lead. Lots of action in the last lap with David Reutimann's car suddenly appearing upside-down and then Tony Stewart skidding through the 'bus stop'. Boris Said called Greg Biffle unprofessional and claimed he'd been giving the finger when they were side by side. The pair then arranged a post-race meeting over their radios where Said said that Biffle approached him and then ran off behind some big guys. Doesn't sound like this one is over - Said said that wrecking cars on the track wasn't the way to solve it, but not to be surprised if Biffle turns up to a race with a black eye.

Well done Roger, I make that three in a row (and well done to BL as well). Now to today's question. A couple of episodes featured parking meters in Hazzard Square, usually so that Rosco could give out dubious tickets . I have screengrabs from two different episodes (one was 'High Flyin' Dukes', I can't remember the other) that give different time limits (1 hour and 2 hours maximum stay), but the cost of parking was the same. Q. How much was an hour's parking in Hazzard Square?: A) 5¢ 10¢ C) 25¢ D) 50¢

I measured the distance from your home to Sperryville in Google Earth, and it's about 5000 miles (8000 km) in a straight line (it wouldn't give directions ). I'm much closer - only 3400 miles (5440 km) away! - maybe next year.

Welcome to HazzardNet Smithy. I assume the game you have is 'The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee'. It does not appear in Wikipedia's List of Xbox games compatible with Xbox 360 (or any similar lists I can find), so I guess you'll need to find an original Xbox.
