I'd almost forgotten Matt Houston. I watched it when it was first shown in the '80s, but I don't think it's ever had a re-run on any UK TV channel. I think his Excalibur should be added to The 100 Greatest Movie and TV Cars of All Time thread.

Also from the '80s is this solo single from The Damned's guitarist/bassist. This video is by the same uploader as lost_sheep's recent Tom Wopat post - I remembered Rocky the Flying Squirrel peeping out from behind the album cover . I don't think I've ever heard the song before, but the intro (from about 0:11 onwards) reminded me of a Richard Cheese cover which I won't be posting due to the explicit lyrics. It's a shame because it's a fun song that could have gone in this thread.

I'm basing these observations on the different versions of the credits that are on YouTube - I haven't verified that they are correctly credited to the right season as they don't all list the episode they're from (although some have end credits, so you can work it out). If someone wants to go through the DVDs, feel free . I'm sure Brian is probably correct about royalties being paid for Bo's girlfriend (Jill Rae Dodson played by Tisch Raye). All the other people who appear in the credits are cast regulars. Ignoring the changes that had to be made during the Coy and Vance era, there were still quite a few minor changes to the credits throughout the run. Waylon's hands/guitar aren't used for the first few episodes, there's someone else playing. Season 1 starts with the jump from 'One Armed Bandits' (Elm Street, Covington), but this get replaced in season 2 with a later jump. The first two seasons have Bo and Luke shooting out the tires from 'Repo Men', but from season 3 they use the same arrow firing shot followed but the outhouse exploding. Also from season 3 onwards the Styx river jump appears before the arrow sequence. Bo's girlfriend seems to make it through to season 3, but has gone by season 4. There's also a couple of shots that only appear after the first episodes; one of Rosco putting up a poster, and one of Boss pulling away in his Caddy. Ben and Sonny didn't appear in the original opening credits, so I'm assuming these shots were lost to make room. Thankfully they kept the shot of Daisy in her red bikini for all seven seasons . I was going to say "here's something a bit different", but it's the second song in this thread to feature lyrics sung in Zulu. "Yebo" is "yes", "Jabulani" is "be happy". Nice song. It reminded me a bit of Marc Cohn's Silver Thunderbird - a song about a car and Marc's memories of his father bringing it home when he was 2 or 3 years old.

Well, it's been a while since I've added to this thread. When Mark B. joined HazzardNet recently and started posting pictures of his 1:25 scale model of Cooter's we started discussing details of the building. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to draw it. It was great to have someone to bounce ideas off, and I'd especially like to thank Mark for clarifying the detailing of the ironwork on top of Cooter's. Just like when I did Hazzard Theatre, I got carried away and ending up doing Rhuebottom's and O'Connor Paint Supply as well. The appearance is mainly modeled on the way the buildings looked in season 1 when they were quite clean, but other details have been added from later seasons where I liked them better eg. twin gas pumps, the green soda box and the roofed section between Cooter's and Rhuebottom's. The tree is not designed by me - it's a piece of clipart that I modified to suit. In later seasons the 'Hazzard Garage' and 'Office' signs were moved lower and the license plates moved to beside the office door. Rhuebottom's became tatty quite early on, the main sign changed in later seasons, and the awnings on both Rhuebottom's and O'Connor's changed as well. I didn't bother modeling Carol's Jewelry (including the bushes) because it only appears in one episode. I didn't have any screengrabs that show the height of the pole supporting O'Connor's, so I guessed (I'm sure the whole thing is visible at some point). I've spelt Rhuebottom's two different ways because that's the way it appears in the show!. There are some screengrabs of this era in the Hazzard Square thread. Here's a couple of enlarged views: Finally, here's a close-up to show some of the detail. The '5' on the Maryland license plate matches one of the other plates inside Cooter's door, but doesn't seem to match the typeface of any real plates. I'm guessing these were props made for the show.

Thanks Capt. - I haven't come across any of these artists; they just don't play this stuff over here. I enjoyed the track you posted, so I'll check out some of the others now. Warning: that track does contain some bad language - doesn't bother me, but if it's not your thing, you've been warned.

Glad you guys are giving these a go. On the A-Z quiz I got 17/26 the first time, although it was more like 17/24 because I didn't know the president or the 'infamous' country (note to self: revise US presidents and geography). Thought I had it licked, but still only got 24 the second time around. Third time lucky - a couple of days on and I finally got 26/26. I guess lost_sheep was right - practise (practice) makes perfect .

I've just done some digging around, and I've found that Warner Bros.' website now has virtual tours and photo galleries for their exterior sets. You can find them here. It also finally gives me a name for the set used in 'Big Brothers, Duke' (see below), 'The Dukes in Hollywood' and 'Hazzard in Hollywood' - it's Hennesy Street. And for Mark, here's a clip from the finale of the 1962 movie 'The Music Man' where Midwest Street plays the part of River City, Iowa. The building near the start (around 26 seconds in) looks like the mysterious building that caused us so much head-scratching earlier in this thread. It appeared in Dukes as a hospital (see below) and the state court. Look out for a very young Ronny Howard near the end of the clip - 14 years before he returned to the square in 'The Shootist'. 76 Trombones - Music Man (1962)

Thanks for all the positive feedback. Great video Mark. I don't remember ever hearing the song before - maybe it wasn't a hit over here. Looks like it came out in 1987, just two years after Dukes finished, but the square looks quite different. I wonder what they were filming at the time - I doubt they dressed it just for the video. I liked the square with the '50s cars in it. I wonder how a '50s episode of Dukes would have worked after they did 'Go West, Young Dukes'. 'Back to the Future' came out in 1985, so if Dukes had continued it may have been a popular storyline. I had to look us the original clip that your video was based on - it's not Hazzard, but the stores wouldn't look out of place and the dog is better trained . I'm in Ireland. There's a guy a few miles away with a fairly recent Dodge Rumble Bee, and I saw some large new pickup from a distance when I was in England recently, but these older trucks don't even seem to turn up at American car shows. We are paying about twice as much as you guys for gas, so maybe it's understandable.

Nice truck Monster - looks like it's in perfect condition. I like these '70s and '80s trucks more than the new ones - maybe because they remind me of some of my favorite TV shows . It's a shame we don't get to see the old or the new ones over here very often .

You didn't miss it Roger, it didn't make the list. Here's Farrah Fawcett's 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II. It's complete with a Farrah Fawcett mascot on the hood (I'm guessing they impeded vision, because I've never seen one ).

Of course I can Roger. Mrs. Oxford's boarding house (Enos's residence) also appears as the home of Mr. Winkle in 'The Haunting of J.D. Hogg' (I borrowed the picture from the Hazzard Square thread). Here's Rosco's house from 'Baa, Baa White Sheep'. It's only seen briefly, so this was the best long view I could get. There is a good close-up of the mailbox though. It looks to me as if Rosco's name originally had an 'E' on the end that's been scratched/peeled off. An episode later ('Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane') they do spell Rosco's name with an 'E' on his office door. I'm not sure how many episodes it's spelt this way, but I know it appears without the 'E' in many others. NB. We see the door from the inside, but I've mirrored the image to make it easier to read.
