I am getting so sick and tired of winter and all this snow! I am beginning to wonder if it will ever stop! Not only has it been freezing cold the past two days, it has now been snowing all afternoon! Plus they say more tonight and then moreso tomorrow! For now, it has slowed down a bit for now at least...it just never stops! I keep thinking that sooner or later, it has to get better, warmer...something. Yet nothing, just more snow and more cold weather! Where's spring and warm weather when you need it the most? LOL. Sorry for all my rambling and complaining here - I know it is winter and know to expect snow and cold weather during this time of year. But this much?! I don't think we've had a winter this cold or with this much snow in years...all I can say is, BRRRRRRRRRRRRR! LOL I'll shut-up now...

Thought the chat started at seven o'clock central time? Guess I'm too late...I guess that's what I get when I wait til the last minute to log in.

Anywhere around zero is too cold for me, especially when you have wind to top it all off. And around about now, I'd enjoy having it in the seventies or so. Nice and warm, can take the dog for a walk and so on without worrying about the snow and cold. Then again, I don't want it to be too hot either, something in between.

Understand the problem with the wind too...we get that here as well. I hate that most of all...the cold and snow isn't so bad, it is when you add the wind that makes it the worse. Boy am I ready for spring...hee. Though I also know what you mean, by July or so, I'll be wishin' it was a little colder outside...but not wishing snow. The last time I wanted snow it was back when I was a kid and actually went outside to play in the snow. Now all I do is take my dog outside to do her thing and then run back in!

I know what you mean, General Grant, about the weather fluxuating like that. We went through that cycle or one like it a week or two ago, it was like fifty on Monday and the next day it was below zero and like negative forty-eight with windsheild. BRRRR is right...hopefully you're right about spring being around the corner. I am looking forward to seeing some green instead of white. The snow is pretty, but cold!

Well...here in Iowa, we got eight inches of snow this past weekend and it snowed continuously from Tuesday early afternoon to around three Wednesday afternoon to get a foot or more of snow! To top that all off, they are predicting more snow tonight and then again Saturday! When does it stop?! LOL. The only good thing out of this snow storm, is that, I got Wednesday off since they closed work due to the snow! My dog is the same way, she is a corgi-bichon mix and isn't very tall, she has to bounce through the snow to get through it! It's funny to watch...she likes the snow, so at least someone is enjoying it! Dixie_Nachelle01 - if I could, I'd bottle it all up and mail you all the snow we have. I'm tired of it and has been for a while now - it seems that we are averaging a snow storm once a week if not more! Though I'm not sure on that part. Where's spring? Is it here yet? LOL. I am about ready to pack up all my things and head to Hazzard to just get away from all this snow!

I'm glad that you finally found one then. It is neat to see a variety of characters from the show, especially ones that aren't used that much.

That's neat that you got Tom's autograph and that book sounds interesting and has good recipes in it! This should be an interesting thread - too bad I don't have much cooking skill or recipes.

Glad to see you here. I like your picture that you have by your signature - I don't remember seeing any or much of J.D. Hogg pictures out there.

Next Wednesday (Feb. 13) will mark six years since he had died. Rest in peace, Waylon.

Thanks for the information, Chet! I bet you were surprised to find it in a local newspaper, but am glad you found the article. Cale was a very good and talented race car driver and has some awesome statistics to prove it! It was great seeing him on the Dukes - it kinda linked them to NASCAR - which is the reason I am a big NASCAR fan today. The good ol' General Lee!

Dang it! A month too late! Just my luck *shakes head in disgust* I have never seen that movie and always wanted to...it'd be great to see Tom and John in a movie outside of the Dukes. Though it is good to see them together in the Dukes as well. Just wish I coulda seen it while it was on TV. Oh well, maybe next time.

Forty-two more days!

I have never seen the show, but of the previews of the show that I've seen, I don't think I want to see it. I hate to say this, but I am really disappointed that John would do a show like Nip/Tuck, especially if he portrays such a charactor. I am surprised that he would agree to do such a show, afterall, his shows are normally family orienated and he seemed to pride himself as doing family shows. This definately is not a family show...in today's world, my opinion, there needs to be more family shows on TV that everyone can watch. Once again, there is my two cents worth.

Dixie, that sounds like a very interesting and good story idea...a good combination of a cross over.

Very well written, Daney. Liked the description and how it focused mainly on Enos - it is nice to see a character like Enos that doesn't get that much attention or is the focus of the story, get the attention they deserve.

You are welcome Laura - it is interesting to hear what people have to say about the subject. Though I am really glad to hear that it is only hypothetical .

I have skimmed through the responses here and figured that I'd give my two cents worth on the question. I have gone to Dukefest for the last four years and in my experience, Dukefest has always been about the television show...I think they should keep it that way. Dukefest has always been family friendly and I think by welcoming the movie crew or cast into Dukefest, you will be taking all that away. Why ruin a good thing? Well, there is my two cents!

I use to watch "Walker, Texas Ranger" every Saturday night at nine - it was a show we hardly missed, if did, we taped and watched it later. Walker and Trivette were my favorite on the show - along with the bartender, can't think of his name at the moment, think it's Ace, but could be wrong. But we also felt the same way about how they'd continue to beat the bad guys over and over before they fell down and were able to be arrested. Cordell and James had some tough competition there to get hit as hard and as continous as they had to in order to get stopped! Anyway - it was a great show and was sad when it had ended.

LOL! That's a great episode! That was hilarious when Bo accidently blew up the old outhouse - the response he got was great! I can watch that part all day and still find it funny! ;)Also enjoyed the end when they were trying to blow up the "ice cream" truck and Luke got the dud instead of the real thing. Rosco shoving the truck into the pond and Boss crying over the guns inside! "Swamp Molly" was a great episode - one I haven't seen in a long time - but can watch it over and over and still find it funny - like most Duke episodes.

Confederate Railroad was the first concert I was able to go to and I had enjoyed every moment of the concert. They were a great band. Now each time I hear them on the radio, I think of that night I went with my mom. I have been to many more concerts since then. I have seen Billy Ray Cyrus and John Micheal Montgomery at least three or four times each. Even been on stage with Billy Ray at the last concert I went to. The best concerts I've gone to (not including any concerts or shows at the four Dukefests I've gone to) have been Kenny Chesney with Keith Urban and Dierks Bently (several years ago), Keith Urban with Little Big Town, Brooks N Dunn (Twice) Brad Paisley and Toby Keith would be my favorite three shows I've gone to. Alan Jackson with Martina McBride were great, but could have been better if they had a better sound to it - they were in a football arena and you couldn't understand them when they talked. Toby Keith was at the same place and had the same trouble as well. Keep it between the ditches Garrett Duke
