  1. Welcome to Hazzard County Lizzy. I thought Cooter was too smart to make the "same mistake" twice. Anyway, buckle up for safety 'cause we've been known to drive crazy here on the Hazzardnet on occasion. I'm gone.
  2. *Another round of cheering and fireworks* for DaisyMae. She has crossed the milestone 50 mark. (Sorry Daisy we're a little low on real fireworks so we're using 50 dynamite arrows) Congratulations!!!! Daisy has 52 and DoubleX has 39. Which of these were on the show? Old Hadley Farm or Southfork Ranch Joe's Hardware or Little Joe Cartright's Plumbing Shop Sheriff Andy Taylor or Widow Emma Partridge
  3. Well, the truth comes out...Charlie Druton's little girl. *shakes head in a nodding "no" manner* You know Bo, Charlie might not exactly be your biggest fan
  4. Describe Boss's Mama when she made her only appearance on the show. (hint: this can be answered with one word.....or more if you prefer)
  5. Jesse *bending over to look out window at them leaving and muttering to himself* If all younguns' was like them kids, this old world would have a purrty good future. *smiles and stands back up*
  6. Okay, you kids be careful. I'll go over them papers a little better...and keep yer CB on. *watches them leave, feeling hopeful thanks to their help*
  7. Bye Enos *smiles* You be careful too....and thanks!
  8. Jesse *didn't even flinch* *Two seconds later he smiled and looked Bo in the eye* Well, that's nice, that's nice. *smiled again* I suppose you know that I'm going ta want ta hear all about her....and after that I'll want ta hear why ya think Luke's not as happy as we are about yer good news.....
  9. Sorry Julie, but I don't think my pick-up truck would want to be seen in front of one of them there fancy cafes. It belongs in the dirt parking lot of the Boar's Nest.
  10. Jesse *sat down across the table from his steaming nephew then sighed deeply* Now Bo, I know ya need time ta calm down and ya can take all the time ya want but after that I really need ya ta tell me what's goin' between you and Luke. Now, I'm not going ta be judgemental. I'm here ta listen and I'm here ta help. Now if ya don't want any help, I can't force ya to take it. The only thing I ask is that you walk away from here knowing that I love you and I'm always here for ya.....and I'm not the only one. There's two other people in this house that love ya just as much. *pauses to think *...even though you might not feel that way right now.
  11. *winks at Enos* Yer doin' the right thing son. You won't be sorry.
  12. *Jesse's anger exploded like an erupting volcano* THAT'S ENOUGH!! You boys both simmer down right now! And if one of ya wants to throw the next punch you can just throw it at me!! Now Luke, if you're alright, I want you to go out into the barn and settle down. And I don't want ya coming back in until I call fer ya. Me and yer cousin here have got ta have us a man to man talk and it looks like it might take awhile. Now Bo, I want you to sit down right there *points to chair that Bo had been sitting on for the meal* and I mean NOW!
  13. ....and don't ferget this Enos....a man's gotta have his priorites in order if he expects ta sleep at night. your word to the Almighty has to be your top priority and your family and friends come next. Now I understand the fix yer in but you gotta understand that we can lose everything here and I know ya don't want that. Besides, you know that if Boss ever tried to fire the only decent lawman we got in this county, the people wouldn't stand for it. Hazzard folks has got their priorities too and they'd boycott Boss's businesses faster than a Beagle on a cottontail if he tried ta git rid of you. Now, you know as well as I do that old windbag is just blowing out a bunch of hot air. Besides I still got an ace in the hole when it comes to old Boss. It might not be a big enough card ta help us keep our farm but I can personally gaurantee ya that it will git ya yer job back *pause* that is if'n he even fires ya ta begin with....
  14. Jesse doubted that the boys knew it......but it was always difficult for him to know when to jump in. Young men just need to vent some steam every once in awhile and sometimes that's all that's needed. It was always tough to figure out when they were venting in a healthy manner or arguing destructively. After all these years, he still couldn't tell. He decided to sit things out a little while because it seemed to him this was healthy venting. He feared he could be wrong but remained the silent referee for the moment.
  15. All 4 of you are right. DaisyMae extends the record to 48 in a row. Can she sail into uncharterd waters and break the 50 mark? DoubleX has 36. Speaking of water..... Which of these were on the show? 12 Mile Creek or Clear Creek Hazzard Marsh or Mulberry Marsh Crater Lake or Comet Lake
  16. One thing (of many) that made the Dukes of Hazzard so successful was the amazing way they balanced a variety of things in order to appeal to many viewers. Of course the show wasn't trying to target middle-aged and elderly women so it's no surprise there weren't a lot on. Those of you who are regulars on the Hazzardnet know that I never say anything negative about the series but I'll make an exception here. I wish they would have had Lulu and Miz Tisdale on a lot more. These two ladies were unbelievable actresses and I feel the show should have used their talents more often. Perhaps, their contracts were worded so that they couldn't appear too often...I don't know if that's the case or not. I really love the episodes that these two were featured on and hope they knew how much they were appreciated by their fans.
  17. Jesse *authoritive and gently* Now Enos, you know that Bo is right. You also know that you took a sworn oath to uphold the law and that oath you took was with your right hand on the Good Book. *tilts head* I know you did because I was there for the swearing in ceremony. All us Dukes were. Luke even went on leave from the Marines to witness it, he was so proud of you. Now, what's more important to you son, your oath before the Almighty or obeying an illegal order that you know ain't lawful *voice raises* ain't legal and plain old ain't right.
  18. I'd buy you that hot cocoa Julie, but I see that the Lulu thread still is at 2007. I guess I'll go down and change it myself. Lulu deserves some respect.
  19. Okay, I'll admit it. I don't really have anything to say about Christmas. I was just scanning the threads and discovered that this is one of only two (outwardly visible) threads that hasn't had a posting in 2008. Quick, whoever can be the first one to run on down to the Lulu thread and wipe 2007 off the site once and for all will be a hero. I'll buy you a buttermilk at the Boar's Nest....unless you prefer root beer.
