Hey Daney I don't know if you enjoy Halloween or not but Mystery in Hazzard Swamp should be getting pretty scary by early October just in time for Halloween. Who knows what could happen in that swamp. By the end of October Jesse and Bo could be werewolves or vampires or something.....stay tuned....if you dare!
It's sounds like you two will be spending a little extra time on the HazzardNet to cheer you up after the Chase is over. Don't cry on your keyboards too much or you'll short circuit them. It's good to hear from you again redneck woman!
It's never too early to think about Christmas. I've already seen two places with Halloween decorations up. Once those come down Christmas decorations replace them. It's just around the corner!!
*Jesse double checks to make sure the boat is tied securely. He shrugs his shoulders to get the straps of his backpack in a more comfortable position and starts walking while looking in all directions with Bo following close behind. After going a few hundred feet through the thick swamp, being careful to avoid quicksand Jesse spoke to his nephew* "Ya know Bo, you owe yer life to this swamp. Back when yer daddy was a little feller he come down with marsh fever. Modern medicine had no cure for it but I found my great grandpappy's book of Choctaw Indian cures that he made after befriending an old Choctaw Chief. After studying it, I came to this very area to find the medicinal plants needed to save my little brother. Of course there's no way of knowing if he would have died or not without it but most folks who got the marsh fever never lived through it. A lot of folks think the swamp is a horrible place and avoid it. I have to admit it's not the most comfortable place in the world but if you know what yer doing ya could survive out here indefinitely. The Choctaws did. This place is full of life and lots of food a feller can survive on....as long as you don't get the good plants mixed up with the poison ones."
Well Brian, thanks to Meadowmufn, you and MaryAnne, HazzardNet has broken the record for most "good words" ever written about the Dukes of Hazzard. No other place on this planet has even come close to honoring the show as much as this place has. For that, you three can be proud.....and for that, the rest of us are forever grateful.
I just watched part 2 of "Carnival of Thrills" today. I'm getting in the mood for Ray Kohn's 33 car jump in two days. Jesse had a funny quote in part two also. This time, Luke was driving. After Luke jumped a blue car over a creek on the way to save Bo near the end, Jesse said "That's the closest I want to get to Heaven in the next 30 years!" Wow Garrett, considering that you haven't seen that episode in a long time I'm surprised you remembered Carl's name. As you might recall Carl had a limp from wrecking while being a stunt man for the show. That's because Diane used her womanly ways to talk him into jumping cars too. So, the answer to your question is: X-boyfriend. I know what you mean aboout not liking the fighting. That's why I'm not crazy about "Dr. Jekyl and Mr Duke". I hate seeing a Duke being mean to another Duke....even if it's not his fault. Do you remember the scene in Carnival of Thrills were Jesse ordered Daisy to stop the jeep and Jesse put up his fists to fight Luke? I did like that scene though. It's one of my favorite scenes in all 7 years of filming.
I just got done watching "Carnival of Thrills" part 1. The episode began with the 4 Dukes going down the road on their way to the stunt show at the Cedar City Fairgrounds. Bo was driving the General Lee with Jesse beside him. Daisy and Luke were in the back seat. Bo was driving in his usual crazy way when Daisy mentioned the show. "I just can't wait to get there. I just love these automobile thrill shows." Bouncing around in the front seat, Jesse responded "I don't see why we're wasting our money to go over there when we got Bo here to put on a show of his own!"
*Jesse looks around at the thick vegetation that drowns out the late morning sun. While it's only 10 AM the thick canopy above the trees make the swamp look as dark as a jungle. He smells the moist musty air and stretches his neck while breathing in deeply, looking like a warrior getting ready to go into battle. For a moment Bo thinks his uncle didn't hear his question. Jesse seems completely focused with the task at hand. He felt strong and invigorated. He didn't mention it to his nephew but he hadn't felt this tough in years. His adrenalin glands were fully operating and his senses were peaked as he looks around some more. Then he reaches for the shotgun in the boat and loads two shells in the double barrel then looks at Bo.* "I guess we'll just have to cross that bridge when we come to it."
Hi Brian, how come when you're logged in, your name shows up at the bottom but when the other 2 moderators are logged in, their name doesn't show up? What do those two have to hide? LOL So, how have ya been?
Hi Daney. I know there have been some errors on epguide. Is there any other source to confirm the air date for part two? September 23 was 7 days after part 1. At the end of the first part (Sept 16) when Bo and Luke are getting ready to fight, Waylon mentions that we're going to have to wait a long time to see how it ends. When you watch part 2, it starts out, showing scenes from the last episode. If the two episodes were aired in a style like a two hour movie, it wouldn't have stopped in the middle of the movie to show the scenes from the last hour.
