This could be an interesting thread. I doubt anybody has ever started a thread like this before on the HazzardNet. The first bit of advice I would give is to not take advice about romance from an internet forum. But if you do, make sure it's this one....LOL I don't even know where to start. Advice can be different depending on your age and circumstances but some things are universal regardless of any variables. One is to be honest with yourself. That's probably the most important one. I'll continue later if this thread takes off. I'm sure some folks might avoid this subject and others may want to give advice. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

I like Chase Elliott. His dad was mentioned on the Dukes so that's enough to make me a fan. Plus he's from northern Georgia, just like the Dukes.

Hi again Tom. Sorry about your dad. I never had a son but would have loved to watch Dukes with him if I would have had one. You were lucky to have him and he was lucky to have you. I admire and respect him for passing the Hazzard tradition down to you. He didn't name you after Tom Wopat did he? Hope I'm not getting too personal.

I just went through Donegal today. It's a place along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Probably named after your ancestors home.

Welcome to the HazzardNet Tom. I doubt I can help you with the car advice but Hobie is right about needing deep pockets. 1969 Chargers aren't cheap. The question about being reliable depends on what kind of shape it is in. It would be no different than any other older model. Some out there run perfect and some are junk. It's like that old saying goes "You get what you pay for." Unless you have Cooter Davenport skills and/or unlimited money to pay someone else to do the work you would be better off looking into prices on a 10 year old orange Charger and going from there. Wouldn't be a real genuine General but you could still paint General Lee on the roof, along with the flag and the 01 door numbers. It would be a great tribute car. How long have you been a Dukes fan? Who is your favorite character? We're happy to have you here and hope to hear more from you.
