Tropical Storm Lee (no relation to our favorite car) has been reeking havoc on Dixie. I saw on CNN that even the National Weather Service in Atlanta had to be evacuated and relocated.

With money being such a driving force in the success and failure of professional sports teams it's not a surprise that wealthy cities like New York have teams like the Yankees and they do well. It really surprises me that the Cubs haven't won a World Series in over 100 years. I mean, it's not like Chicago hasn't had a lot of money since 1907. For many of those 100 years they've been the third largest city in the United States. I just can't figure out why they can't win the big one.

Now come on Brian, you've known me long enough to know that my inability to figure computer stuff out is legendary. If you want to leave instructions maybe my wife could figure it out though. She just bought a new camera yesterday that is pretty state-of-the-art but I'm not sure the camera she took the picture with is very advanced. Still, we'll give it a try if you can send instructions.

Sorry Brian but the Braves are going to win the World Series vs the Rangers. The Brewers are going to get knocked off in the first round.

We had a great time at the meeting. It was attended by MaryAnne, Hoss, James and myself. MaryAnne was the last one out the door so I hope she wasn't too mad having to clean up the mess that James and Hoss left. Next monthly meeting: October 1st.

Well I'm happy for you Garrett but I would of been even more excited if it would have been David Ragen, Bo Duke or Cale Yarborough. Speaking of Bo Duke racing, he won't have to travel far from Hazzard this weekend...they're in Atlanta aren't they?

I just got some pictures back from the stunt show. My wife took one of me standing beside the General Lee. It was lined up with Boss's Caddy, Rosco's sheriff's car and Jesse's truck....all perfect replicas and all are in the picture too. I felt like I was living out the episode "Carnival of Thrills." It's a picture I'll value my whole life.
