Thanks for the update Garrett. I still like your updates even though I'm disappointed to hear you're not a big wig in NASCAR's corporate headquarters. With your knowledge I though for sure you were up there. Hoss, do you think $152 is enough money to sponser a car?
No Garrett, that Roger Clemens game was when he was pitching for Toronto and they were playing the Angels. (I was going to tell you that the Blue Jays and Pirates are in different leagues and don't play each other but I forgot about intraleague games) By the way, I picked up Carlos Marmol in the other fantasy league that I'm in....not ours.
Hoss and BL got all three right. Which of these were on the show? Melvin Jacobs Jr. OR Jeb McCobb Boot Hill Cemetary OR Pine Ridge Grave Yard Eagle Pass OR Wild Turkey Valley
I believe the road is Chestnut Trail. In addition to checking "Money To Burn" from season 1 check out "Double Dukes" from season 4 and "Dead and Alive" from season 6. In "Dead and Alive" the cemetary has a different name. It's called Hogg's Heavenly Haven Cemetary. I don't think the coffin works is in that episode but it should be in "Double Dukes" in addition to "Money To Burn". Let us know what you find out.
JPB, I too am sorry to hear about your husband. That must be prettty rough on you. We're heading for more heat here up by Lake Erie. It's supposed to be in the 90s in a couple days. We sure need rain. It's forecast tomorrow but I don't know if it's going to be enough to fill the wells. I doubt it.
20 strike outs! Was that an extra inning game? I doubt that's happened too often....nice birthday present. I saw Roger Clemens strike out 16 in Toronto. It's the only major league game I've ever been to that wasn't in Pittsburgh.
Hmmm, sounds interesting. Maybe we should have an election to see who everybody's favorite character is. Well, since it would be a two man race how 'bout this....one contest to vote for Bo vs Luke and another one to vote for the other characters.
I'm kinda depressed about David Ragen not being up there anymore. I understand it's because he switched teams and all but still it's getting me down and not making the season as interesting as it was last year. Hey Garrett, you're pretty well connected in the world of NASCAR. Next time you're in one of the meetings at NASCAR corporate headquarters could you tell them my story and maybe use your influence to get Ragen up there in the top 10? They don't take bribes do they?.....'cause I have $152 in my savings if that will help.
I sure hope they don't start random drug testing for members of the HazzardNet. I'm not sure what Brian spiked the egg nog with at our last Christmas party but I think it's still in my system.
Nice job! So am I correct in assuming that you didn't paint it orange because it never snows in Hazzard? By the way, when you're ready to take it down a steep hill and need someone to be on the back seat, I've love to.... recommend Hoss....especially since he lives on the same end of Hazzard Pond that you do.
ROFL That's a good one Brian. I never looked at it from that perspective. Boss did get a lot of attention in the national spotlight when a governor got compared to him earlier this year. For some reason I was thinking it was Haley Barbour of Louisiana. Boss was on CNN more than once and also in USA Today when that happened. I know it's mentioned on a thread that's laying around here somewhere. Being in D.C. would be a big thrill to Boss. He always did have his eye on the White House. It matched all his suits and his Cadillac.
Thanks Hoss. I wish I could make out what the poster with Rosco and Flash says but maybe it's Best that we can't (James Best...pun intended). I sure hope the moderators are patient with this thread. I am in no way endorsing any political sides by starting this post. I'm simply sticking with the theme here since this certainly is the "Latest News". I hope folks here avoid the temptation of bringing politics into this thread so it doesn't get dropped by the moderators. It's not every day that the Dukes of Hazzard gets mentioned in the United States Congress. I made a call to the office of Phil Gingrey to ask what will happen to the posters and they said they'll be saved and won't be autioned off or anything. Shucks. Hmmm, I wonder if this guy has Ben Jones' old job.
I just saw something really cool. I was watching CNN just after 4:00 EST and they were talking about Obamacare. (I'll be really careful to not bring up politics since that's against the rules). Boss, Rosco and Flash have made it into the hallowed halls of the United States Congress. Republican Phil Gingrey from the great state of (you guessed it) Georgia had two huge posters of Boss and Rosco w/Flash while he was talking about health care. Also, CNN ran footage of an episode with Boss....the scene where he was getting sprayed with red paint (by Bo as I recall) in his chop shop. It would be nice if one of you folks with computer skills could post a link with this. It would be nice if we could share a picture of the two posters with everybody. But remember folks....no talking about politics. We wouldn't want to ruin the best website on the internet!
Speaking of the Cubs did anybody see the insurance commercial where the Cub (I'm not even sure who he is) was pulling things out of the ivy at Wrigley Field? After pulling out a few items he then pulled out former Cub Andre Dawson. Andre looked around then asked "What year is it?" I saw it last night during the home run derby and cracked up.... .....and of course I thought of a certain Cubs fan here on the HN. Tonight's the All-Star game!
