The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia ThreadRogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Wow, that's a tough one. A pagoda rang a bell before I even saw BL's answer so that gives me two reasons to pick it.

Here are the NFL playoff teams. Pick who you think will win the Super Bowl and who you think they'll beat. Pick one team from each of the two conferences. You're picking who you THINK will win, not necessarily who you WANT to win. If you'd like, put a little side note in there with who you WANT to win. National Football Conference Packers 49ers Vikings Falcons Seahawks Redskins American Football Conference Colts Patriots Texans Ravens Broncos Bengals ROGER DUKE PICKS THE FALCONS TO BEAT THE TEXANS IN THE SUPER BOWL GO ATLANTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hazzard County Welcomes Jeff GordonRogerDuke replied to Garrett Duke's topic in Role Playing - Author Created Characters Boss sat in the sheriff's car puffing his cigar. Both windows were open and Jeff Gordon sat in the back seat giving Boss the silent treatment...at least for the moment. Rosco was outside talking to Hughie, too far away from Boss to hear what they were saying. Boss's mind was going a mile a minute as he silently argued with himself in his head. Had he thought of everything? What could go wrong? What will go right? Will he end up with a huge payday or a huge headache? Did he make the best choices in deciding who to call last night to help? Could Hughie be trusted? Will Rosco mess up as usual? How should he divide the money if the day ends well? Will the national media get involved? Is he over his head with this scheme? Did he bite off more than he could chew? So many questions.....no answers. Boss craved answers. He wanted so bad to have confidence that everything will go perfect. Outwardly he oozed confidence. Inwardly he worried that this could be the last scam he ever tries to pull. So much could go wrong. He pulled himself together, reached for the CB, pressed the microphone and blurted. "This is Police Commissioner JD Hogg calling Mr. Aussler. Do you copy?" When there was no response he noticed the power was off and the key wasn't in the ignition.....and without it turned into the first position the CB wouldn't work. "ROSCO! Git over here this instant you idiot!!!"

I feel your pain. As I type this the Redskins are playing the Cowboys to determine the last playoff spot. The winner of this game will travel to Seattle to play Meadowmufn's Seahawks.

Congratulations Sissy. I smiled when I read your post because I'm so happy for you. I have a newer Buck 446 which is about the same size. I also have the 120 which is also called The General. Even though it wasn't named after our favorite car I like to think it was anyways. I've owned it for 30 years and it has been through many adventures in the northern Pennsylvania woods. It used to be the biggest knife Buck made but I'm not sure if that's still the case. (no pun intended since Case is such a big knife company as well)

Luckily for Steelers fans we ended up with a victory against the Browns to end our season. A loss would have added insult to injury to one of the most dismal seasons we've had in awhile. After the playoff seedings are in place we'll do predictions on who's going to win the big show in February. Congrats on that Bears win Garrett and Jamie.

Does anybody know if we had our annual New Year's Resolution Contest last year. This is the only thread I can find so I suspect I forgot about it last year. Well here's a chance to get in on the action again. I'll be posting mine soon. I see in 2011 I kept 2 out of 3. I didn't watch all the episodes in all 7 seasons. It's not too late to declare the winner from a year ago if we can get responses from the others but I guess 2012 will end up like the current NHL season....non existent.

There's not a person in the world who would watch the entire series and be able to find evidence that the show has any racist overtones at all....including the flag.....unless they want to stretch the truth beyond recognition.....in which case it wouldn't be the truth. Let's not beat each other up over this thing. The title of the thread is "The Dukes are Racist?" or put another way "Are the Dukes Racist?" That question has been answered 1,000 times and each time the answer is no. If we answer another thousand times the answer will still be no. Let's recognize this trend and say this debate is settled and move onto more interesting questions like who's the most beautiful bachlorette in Hazzard, Daisy or Emma Tisdale?

The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia ThreadRogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia I'm not going to get Cletus's car but I will take advantage of your clues and change Enos's station wagon to "Enos in Trouble" and Grady's to "Jude Emery". If I still missed them I don't deserve any more clues. LOL

Hazzard County Welcomes Jeff GordonRogerDuke replied to Garrett Duke's topic in Role Playing - Author Created Characters Time: 7:30 AM Boss crosses the Chocktaw County line back into Hazzard County with Jeff Gordon in the back of the patrol car and Rosco driving. They are not traveling alone however. Another vehicle follows. Boss "Let's pick up the speed a little bit Rosco. In order to make this plan work we have to meet the others at the old abandon foundry on Hickory Road at 8 AM" Rosco "Do you think Hughie can keep up if I go faster?" Boss "Of course he can. I taught him how to drive. Keeping up with the likes of you will be easy. We have people to meet at 8 so get moving.'' Rosco "People to meet? I thought we weren't calling them until 9?" Boss was irritated "Not those people you lugnut. The people I called last night. You know who I mean." An hour later (8:30) Boss's plan was all set in place. Everyone on his team knew what to do and when to do it. Boss smiled as he puffed his cigar, anticipating a big pay day.

Hazzard County Welcomes Jeff GordonRogerDuke replied to Garrett Duke's topic in Role Playing - Author Created Characters Boss's eyes light up "Oops, I almost forgot" He picks up the CB "Um, Mr Aussler. I forgot to tell you two important things. Are you still listening?" A disgruntled voice responds. "I sure am Hogg. What is it?" Boss "Make sure you have a map of Hazzard County with you." Boss clicks the microphone off but quickly presses it in again. "And I'll be contacting my deputy Enos Strate. He has Jeff Gordon's personal belongings there at the Court House I'll instruct him to give them to you....especially his checkbook." Boss turned off the CB quickly and intentionally. He wasn't interested in hearing the response. An hour later Rosco pulled into the driveway on Old Ridge Road in Chocktaw County. It was an isolated old farmhouse near the Chocktaw Swamp. An ambulance was parked in the driveway. Rosco looked concerned "I hope he's okay" Boss "I'm sure he's fine. Let's get this thing parked. We have a lot of work to do this evening." A moment later the owner of the house came out of the front door. It was Hughie Hogg!

The Steelers are out of the playoff hunt but they're playing for a lot of pride. The Browns beat them last time and the Browns/Steelers rivalry is one of the biggest in all sports. Since the Browns aren't good this year (again) it would really hurt if the Steelers lost in Pittsburgh to them. Good luck to your Bears Garrett. Meadowmufn's Seahawks are really riding a wave. It will be interesting to see how they do in the postseason.

The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia ThreadRogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Hmmm, must be the only episode I got right was "The Ransom of Hazzard County" because I'm sure Enos's station wagon got blown up by the Doomsday Gang.

I'm not sure but I think that in FB, BB, BB and hockey there's a minumum of 6 people and a maximum of 20. I know yahoo baseball has a maximum of 20. Smaller leagues are fun because you have a better chance of winning but winning a big league will bring a lot more satisfaction since the challenge is tougher. Normally I like bigger leagues in the other sports but since I'm a rookie at this I wouldn't mind having a smaller one....like ten at the maximum. This means we'll have to get folks not in the HazzardNet if we want ten. After getting the league ID and password I think posting it in on our fantasty basketball league message board would be a great idea....after you've asked anyone else you might want. I sure hope Hazzard is in the league name!

Hazzard County Welcomes Jeff GordonRogerDuke replied to Garrett Duke's topic in Role Playing - Author Created Characters Boss responded on the CB, his voice bold and full of confidence. "Well, well now Mr Aussler. It's nice to know that you big shot city lawyers like to do things the old fashioned way, face to face. However my client hasn't filled out the papers to drop the charges and until he does your client is still a prisoner and is still in the confinement of the Hazzard County Police Department of which I sir, am the Commissioner. Unfortunately I'm forced to leave the county for the night on official business and won't be able to meet you until morning. I'll call you on this CB channel at precisely 9 AM tomorrow and let you know where to meet." Still driving with Jeff handcuffed in the back Rosco looked at Boss, confused. "Um, where are you spending the night Boss.?" Sitting in the passenger seat Boss responded. "Not me, all three of us. Take us over to Old Ridge Road in Chocktaw County. I need to see someone who owes me a favor." Rosco's eyes got wide. "Are we going to see who I think we're going to see? If so nothing good's gonna come from it. He's a low down sidewinder snake who can't be trusted." Boss smiled. "He might be low down but he's not as low down as me. Besides he owes me a favor and has something I need."

Hazzard County Welcomes Jeff GordonRogerDuke replied to Garrett Duke's topic in Role Playing - Author Created Characters After some consideration Boss answers the CB call. "This is Police Commissioner Jefferson Davis Hogg calling Mr Thom Aussler. Do you copy?" Aussler "Yes I do Mr. Hogg." "Well Mr. Aussler sir, we seems to have a developing situation here. The victim, my innocent and devoted public servant, Mr. Rosco Pervus Coltrane is seriousely considering dropping all the criminal charges against this ruthless violent criminal but I'm afraid to say that he is also considering a civil suit against him. As Mr. Coltrane's lawyer I should advise you that my client is considering a possible...how should we say....out of court settlement to ease all the physical and emotional damage he has endured since this horrific attempted murder occured." Jeff Gordon was momentarily stunned and speechless in the backseat. Rosco smiled widely. "Khee Khee. I just love it when you talk that fancy lawyer talk Boss. Does this mean that I'm gonna get 50% of 50% of 50% after that hot shot lawyer hands over the greenbacks?......and by the way Boss, I never said any of that stuff." Boss "Rosco I'd be on the road to turning HOGGOCO Oil into a multinational trillion dollar corportation if it weren't for you and your Mama. You ain't getting a red cent." Rosco "But Boss, I thought I told you Jeff wasn't going to race anyhow so I don't know how it could be my fault." Boss "Hush Rosco! You hush right now or you're fired and you'll walk home from here."
