  1. That's an excellent point JD.
  2. You are a true craftsman CD.
  3. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  4. Lucky dog! He doesn't know it yet but he's going to live a life full of love. He sure looks right at home in the pic where he's sleeping. Congratulations on the new addition to the family. He's absolutely perfect. And he's a very lucky dog.
  5. Thanks for the update Garrett. It sure sounds like it was chaos. How often do places repave their tracks? Judging by the way you started your review I suspect that first races on new tracks can be challenging.
  6. From the cold Great Lakes to warm south Florida.... Welcome to Hazzard County Mo! You're going to love it here.
  7. Welcome to the HazzardNet!

  8. Thanks for the update Garrett. I'm going to be spending the day trying to find my way out of corn mazes tomorrow with my grandson so I won't be home until after the race.... ....but I'll look for your review then.
  9. Am I allowed a second guess? I'm going to disagree with Daney and say that it's the lady who was running that rolling 18-wheel casino that was disguised to sell those shock absorbers.

  11. .....and the three pick up trucks on "The Great Santa Claus Chase" were from the Yellow Pine Construction Company. It's nice to see that there's still folks out there who know how to raise kids right.
  12. I love everybody. I just don't understand everybody..... .....like people who aren't Dukes fans. What in the world is wrong with them?!
  13. Thanks for clearing that up Hoss. It was too tough for me. Hmmm, is that Swamp Molly?

  15. Hmmmm, very interesting. I've never seen this picture.
  16. I shouldn't have worded it "kept his mouth shut." That wasn't an actual quote and I apologize. I agree that Junior should do what's best for himself. If I was him I'd take the rest of the season off. But I'm not him and he's more competitive than me so he probably won't miss more than he has to unless his doctors recommend it. I'm very sorry things aren't looking good for JG. I know how much it means to you. There is a bright side. You weren't a big David Ragen fan this year.
  17. Another awesome job! I always love to see all your accomplishments in your Hazzard County. What an awesome tribute to the best show in history. You have my respect and admiration.

  19. Thanks for the sympathy you three. You're right Hoss. Light deflectors help but only so much. In this case it would still be a big problem even if they did put one on. My best hope is that the light is on a circuit breaker and can be turned off. My guess is that it is since they installed it themselves. Around here if you have the electric company put a street light in you can't turn it off but that's not what they did. This means that whenever I want to get my telescope out I'll have to pester them. I hate to be a pest to anybody, especially good neighbors like them who I love and respect so much. I guess that's what I'm going to have to do though. So I guess there are still great backyard astronomy nights in my future. They just got a little more complicated.
  20. DITTO Hmm. I bet Griffith Park has something to do with that historic astronomical sight Griffith Observatory.

  22. 18th? Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Well, at least you grabbed the #1 and 3 spot on your fantasy team. I saw in the paper that your man JG stirred up a little controversy by saying that Dale Jr should have kept his mouth shut about the headache. Have you heard any response about that comment from Jr?
  23. I've loved astronomy my whole life. If anybody here as ever been under a truly dark sky and witnessed the Milky Way Galaxy in all its glory, you might have an idea why somebody can get hooked on the hobby. When I was 19 years old (the year Dukes came out) I bought property that I eventually built a house on. I still live there. The skies are very dark....an astronomers paradise. For a third of a century I've enjoyed my hobby under the best skies imaginable for my area. When I bought the property I only had one neighbor. Today I still have the same neighbor and they're like family to me. Two days ago they put up a street light. Not only that but they put it up in the worst possible location. This means that a third of a century of living under a beautiful night sky is over. I know this might not seem like a big deal to non-astronomers but it's devastating to me. I feel like I've lost my best friend. I haven't discussed this with them and probably won't. I'm sure they never gave my astronomy hobby any thought when they put it up. Besides, it's their place and they're free to do what they want. Not only that but we haven't had a disagreement in 33 years so why start now. Still, I'm devastated and in mourning for my precious dark skies.
