The Official Dukes of Hazzard Trivia Thread
RogerDuke replied to Meadowmufn's topic in Dukes of Hazzard Trivia
Shucks, I was so close with the Newton answer. From "Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke" These might be 50-50 but I'll be surprised if anybody gets all of them. What was Petey Willis's race car number? A) 55 25 How much did Cooter sell his garage to Boss for? A) $7,500 $75,000 How many Dukes were in this episode? A) 6 4 How many helpings of Jesse's crawdad bisque did Cooter have at the end? A) 6 4 -
metal (it's been a couple days so I'd thought I'd jump start this thing.......little engine joke there)

I think they were having all those tire troubles because tires are round and the Poconos track is a triangle.

I'm way up by Lake Erie near the Ohio line and the Poconos is the eastern end of the state. I do know a guy who lives near that area and he says it does get crazy in his area.....as far as traffic goes. He's not a NASCAR fan so he doesn't get crazy and excited about them coming into town. I'm sure the local businesses go crazy over all the money that comes into the area. It sure is taking a long time to clean up the track after Jimmie Johnson slammed into the wall. Jeff Gordon is in third place as I type this!

I was just getting ready to post a Duke or Dupe but was pleasantly surprised to see a new trivia question. Newton County was not mentioned on the show. As far as the hard question goes, on the episode "The Dukes Visit Las Vegas" Daisy bet the deed to the farm against Wayne Newton's gold ring on the results of a soccer match. When Daisy lost but Wayne refused to accept the deed, Daisy fell in love with him. LOL -
And next weekend my nephew's marrying a lady who's last name is Gordon. And no, she's not related to Jeff. I already asked. Since it's Gordon's 42nd race at the Pocono's AND it's his 42nd birthday AND the Pocono's is in my home state of Pennsylvania AND Garrett is such a good friend, I guess I can be a Jeff Gordon fan for a day. GO JG!

Hoss and K-Duke got all three right! -
What are you saying? Do you mean that there's folks in other countries who make fun of Americans? How shocking! I thought everybody loved us. Regarding your second quote listed here, it seemed like a good idea in 1776 but I think there are enough Americans who are so disappointed with our current political system that..... on second thought I'll save political views for different websites. This one is too perfect to ruin with politics.....not to mention risking the wrath of the moderators who do a great job of keeping it perfect.
-
This last quote certainly is accurate. We all certainly can't all be perfect and the writers weren't perfect with that one. . Don't forget that the Dukes often made fun of city folks and sophisticated folks and many rural Americans stereotype British folks to be sophisticated. I'm not saying that they should. I'm just saying that they do. I remember when Jesse said "And don't take advantage of them because they're from the city and don't know no better." As I recall that's from an original Georgia episode...maybe "Daisy's Song." I think that quote's funny but it is potentially offensive to a city person. Regardless of whether quotes like that are offensive or not, they accurately portray how country boys from Jesse's generation felt. Also, the writers also seem to have forgotten that every American is a foreigner of sorts......unless they're a Native American. So, in the spirit of international diplomatic relations, my apologies as an America Hoss. Even though we can occasionally be rude (like making July Fourth jokes) those of us Americans who are of European decent know very well our roots. Sincerely, Cousin Roger

LOL Good one Garrett. Thanks for the response Hoss.

Sadly the only Roger to ever be on the show ended up being a bad guy. I'm not sure what the real name of the actor was but Duke Gaylord was only pretending to be a royal Duke. His "real" name was Roger Blevins as I recall.

Awesome Hoss! Stuff like this is really cool! Is this the pub where Duke Gaylord Duke hangs out?

Thanks for the update Garrett. I'm happy for your sake that JG had another good one. How many seconds did Junior beat him by?

LOL Thanks Garrett. There's nothing that cures a long term case of the post Christmas blues like another upcoming Christmas season. The annual HazzardNet Christmas party will be here before you know it!

Hmm, interesting idea. I wonder how Meadowmufn will respond. Thanks for suggesting it.
