  1. Hey Hobie, (or anybody else for that matter) who you like to get together tonight (Thursday) at 9 (EST) and watch "Follow That Still"? I'm assuming it's one of your favorite episodes. It's certainly one of mine. I realize this is short notice so I won't be disappointed if this doesn't work out.
  2. 4 H's it is. Hobie Harkins and Hoss got Holly. Buddy Holly wasn't anybody who had a career that I followed. I was a little too young for that and my parents only listened to country and western music. I thought he was only a rocker so I was surprised his motorcycle was in a country music museum but then again I don't know much about him. Fill in the blank. Big (blank) Hogg of Rapaho County is Boss's cousin. 1) Mike 2) Hoss 3) Bubba 4) Dan 5) Joe
  3. So, who can join me on October 30th for a Halloween party while we chat and watch "The Hazzardville Horror" at the same time? What do we think of 6:00 Eastern Standard Time? If nobody from the eastern end of Hazzard Pond can join us we could change it to 9:00 Eastern Time or we could have one at 5 and one at 9.
  4. Thanks for the invitation but I won't be going that way anytime soon. We went to Niagara Falls a couple years ago but didn't go on the Canadian side because you need a passport now. In the meantime if you're ever west of Buffalo and cross the Pennsylvania line let me know. It looks like Boston is going to be cold for the World Series.
  5. Grits and greens are food that is popular in the southeastern part of America. While "possum on a gumbush" was a popular saying on the Dukes, "grits and greens strike again" was a popular saying on the spinoff show "Enos".
  6. Thanks for informing us CD. My thoughts and prayers are with him.
  7. Maybe missing the Bears game wasn't so bad. If my team scored 41 points and still didn't win I'd be happy if I missed it. Thanks for the NASCAR updates.
  8. Hi coronet! It's good to hear from you!
  9. Very nice! I haven't seen a picture of Turk for awhile. "Grits and greens strike again!"
  10. I don't like or dislike any of the two World Series teams so I won't be paying much attention. I don't like watching sports without someone to root for. I love Toronto. I've been there three times. Once in the early 80s, then again for my honeymoon in 1996 and on Aug 15 1998 to witness Roger Clemens strike out 16 batters. That was the only time I've ever seen a MLB game that wasn't in Pittsburgh. I don't like cities but I sure liked Toronto! The Blue Jays are my favorite team in their division. Unfortunately they didn't live up to their expectations this year. All three times when I went there I went up the CN tower. The day before the Blue Jays game I attended the dome was open for another game so the view from the tower was breathtaking. And, oh yes, I yelled Roger the whole game since he's the only Roger in baseball. LOL We had the cheap seats but I moved behind the plate in the last inning and was only one person away from getting a Jose Conseco foul ball.
  11. Well, even if I could get one other person on Oct 30 it would still be fun. Since there's no chance of getting a lot of people at one time, especially on weekdays I guess we just have to accept that this thing is going to be limited. Since this episode chat idea thing is such a blast I'd like to do as many as I can. In the meantime I'm still excited about Meadowmufn's original post here.
  12. Thanks for the update Hoss. No Garrett they're not that good but they are excellent for kids, especially from 3-10. Any older than that and they're probably not going to be something modern kids would like.....at least not most of them because they're growing up too fast compared to the early 80s. The great thing about the cartoons is that they have the real voices of the real stars. That alone makes them well worth the price of the DVDs. I should also add that 53 year old kids like them a lot.
  13. LOL I think you're right Hobie. If you wanted, I could give you a list of all the counties. It would only take a second to look up in my notebook.
  14. LOL Not necessarily. I'm a Yankee from Lake Erie and I spent October, November and December in that part of the country when Dukes were being filmed in Georgia. I was in USMC boot camp and sometimes it was so cold even us northern Marines were shaking.
  15. Any time is good for me that evening but if we hear from the folks across from the Hazzard Pond maybe we should make it earlier.
  16. I was only looking for comic book for an answer so you're both right. From the same episode who was the former owner of the motorcycle that was in Waylon's rolling museum?
  17. When Enos got scared on "Welcome Waylon Jennings" what did he accidently ruin by dropping into a fire inside a barrel?
  18. I sure do remember that line. I'm sure you'll agree with me that I would have given anything to have seen all 7 seasons filmed in Georgia instead of a measly 5 episodes. The scenery in those episodes look just like my neck of rural Pennsylvania.
  19. I'd love to but I have to check to see if I have a football game to go to. I'll get back to you. Chatting while watching an episode together is so much fun! Should we try for season three's The Hazzardville Horror on Wed Oct 30?
  20. Three cheers for Roth! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY! HIP HIP HOORAY! (make that four) Thanks for all your awesome contributions Roth! Congratulations!
  21. I might not be southern but I'm southern at heart. My favorite singers are Charlie Daniels (from Mount Juliet Tenn) and Loretta Lynn....along with anybody else who sounds southern. My favorite song is "Country Boy Can Survive" and my favorite show is and always will be Dukes. My favorite current show is Duck Dynasty and I love that Confederate Flag and I live on a dirt road in the woods. I've lived in northwest Pennsylvania my whole life and I'll never leave because all my family's here but if I ever got kicked out I'd move to northern Georgia near the Tennessee line!
  22. Thanks for posting the 2014 race schedule Garrett. Now I can get a preview of the days I'm going to beat you in fantasy NASCAR.
  23. I don't have facebook but this sure sounds it's going to get HazzardNet a lot more exposure. Nice job MM. Thanks for all you do to promote the greatest show to ever grace a TV screen..... and thanks for creating HazzardNet.......even though it does have some weird people as members who don't root for Pittsburgh teams.
