I wouldn't care either way. What I don't like to see is girls playing football or wrestling boys in high school. When someone says I'm wrong for feeling that way I always say this...."My father taught me that boys should never hit girls. Are you saying my dad was an idiot for teaching me that?"
"several" can mean many things from 3 to 20 but I always think of the number seven since it's so close to the word several. Using a little math (10+70) that adds up to a MM that is 80 years old. LOL It's been awhile since anybody's been thrown in the pokey by the Supreme Superior Commander so I'm just trying to get things stirred up....besides I'm way older than MM.
Good to hear from you MM. I watched men's and women's snowboarding but that's it. Too much else going on between basketball and grandchildren. I'm in the middle of my second bout of a cold but haven't got the flu. I had two colds last season too. I guess that's the new normal when you get older. I only used to get one. Sorry to hear about your autoimmune problems. That's been a problem for awhile hasn't it?
I see that YAHOO hasn't yet opened up for baseball. Please don't worry about me not being able to draft. I know you have a lot of friends in it and I don't want to disrupt your plans. Before I join let me know what time you selected and if I can make it I will join. I've been in leagues before where the computer picked my players and I hated it. I do want to join the NASCAR league though.
I understand why you are getting excited about NASCAR but don't understand why you are getting excited about baseball since the Pirates are going to crush the Cubs every time they play. I want to join both leagues but will only join baseball if you can make the draft 4:00 Eastern Standard Time (5:00 at the latest) on a weekday since I have limited access to a computer and I can't count on this tablet to be reliable. I will send you a PM.
Another 1000 point drop in the Dow Jones. That means another 4 trillion dollars just vanished into thin air. Despite that, it doesn't seem like folks are panicking as much as you would expect. How about across the pond? Folks getting scared?
I was talking to a guy from Tasmania today about his home. I knew it was SE of Australia but didn't know it was part of Australia. The analogy he used was Hawaii is part of the US even though it's an island. Of course Tasmania is closer to the homeland than Hawaii. It's a pretty fascinating place with an interesting history.
onion
(Ramps are called leeks around here. For you folks across the pond they're like a wild onion with a touch of garlic flavor to them...depending on if you dig them late or early in leek season)
If I ever moved to the southern US I would pick up an accent in days. Charlie Daniels is my favorite male singer and Loretta Lynn is my favorite female. This makes me wonder if some southerners weren't happy when Dukes came out since the accents weren't that strong on the show. Some characters had them but overall I don't think they were very strong.
If I heard Daisy Duke's voice and Miz Emma Tisdale's voice without seeing their faces I could tell which was which. If Jesse Duke and Flash both had masks on I'd be able to tell which was which. If they took the 01 off the General Lee I'd still be able to tell it from Cooter's wrecker. I'm acting a little silly tonight Hobie. Did you slip a little of that mountain dew in my root beer when you were visiting this evening? I thought it tasted different.
I reckon Terry has to visit his cousin a lot because of all his old football injuries and you have to visit Terry's cousin a lot from falling down after partaking of of that.... *cue the bluegrass band*......"good 'ol mountain dew"
