At least we don't ever have to worry about 'ol Hobie ever changing anything in the Moonshine 400. Although I do remember that one year where he made a no buttermilk rule. I just put mine in a jug and marked it XXX and 'ol Hobie never knew it.....until now.

It's a good idea to stock up on stuff. I'm hearing many stories of current and future shortages. It's a tough call because stocking up on stuff with potential future shortages seems irresponsible to society but not providing for your loved ones is irresponsible to your family. Baseball is down to 5 teams. The Red Sox and Astros will battle for a World Series appearance and the Braves will battle the winner of the Dodgers vs Giants Thursday night.

teeth (I knew D'oh wasn't Dukes. I was being funny)

Here's an old Cubbie post.

I'm an astronomer so I like the Astros. They had a chance to advance last night but lost. I like the Braves more. My Pirates are basically a triple A team now.

Does D'oh mean Dukes of Hazzard? LOL Australia

Hey Garrett! Good to hear from you. Have you been following the baseball playoffs much or don't you care since the Cubs aren't in it? I'm rooting for the Braves since they are close to Hazzard County. It looks like my Pirates will be bad forever. Still following NASCAR all the time? I see your Bears are in second place. Sorry about that mess with fantasy baseball. If I would have guessed it would have caused that much trouble I wouldn't have left. I really felt bad.

Southern (I think the donuts and beer comment was from a Georgia episode....maybe even One Armed Bandits)

garage (I believe that was their favorite place to have their breakfast of donuts and beer)

My elderly mom has also become like that. It's pretty sad to see, especially since they don't have a very big house. It's hard to believe how clean and organized she used to be. Both of my parents are in bad shape. I like to think positive and be grateful that they made it to their 80s but it sure hurts to see them in so much pain, both physically and mentally.

Is the UK going through what the US is? The government is paying people so much to stay home that nobody wants to work so jobs aren't getting filled and businesses are struggling, or even closing. Dirt track racing is over. Yesterday was the last race at our local track. Still have a couple dirt bike races to go though. A chill has been in the air at night, that's for sure. The last two nights we have had a campfire going outside. There's nothing sweeter smelling than campfire smoke.

The Dollar Tree is now the $1.50 store. It sounds like there is going to be more shortages of stuff. ABC Nightly News had Mark Zandi of Moody's Analytical on. He's a heavy hitter in economics and I trust him. He is advising buying Christmas presents now. The Delta variant was so bad in Asia and the factories were shut down for so long, shortages of just about everything are coming.

The Season 5 "Problem"
RogerDuke replied to Philip_Duke's topic in Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion
It's good to hear from you again Philip. Coy and Vance did a good job of keeping the series going but like most fans I rejoiced when Bo and Luke came back. I wish Coy and Vance would have came back for visits. I've met Byron Cherry twice. Great guy! -
Poor Spike....more cats. Our puppy has gotten pretty good at scaring deer away. She sits on the window sill and barks when they come in for apples. It's so funny to see a 200 lb buck run for his life when a 15 lb puppy barks.

I was just flipping through some old posts here and noticed I met Dean on 5-19-19.
-
He played him during Ray's Northeast Ohio Dukes stunt shows. If you haven't checked it out on his website you should.
-
So sad to hear this. I had several conversations with Dean and loved the guy. Same for Ray's dad. Thanks for telling me Skipper. I'll toast Dean with a glass of buttermilk tonight.

Hey Spike, it sounds like they overdid on the rain dance. I have to admit it, I am a little nervous about mRNA technology since it has never been marketed before now. I am also concerned about the movie "I am Legend".....although the zombie part is over the realistic possibility top). I don't criticize anybody who gets the vaccine though. It is a tough choice since it was not tested in the time that is normally required. I had covid so I haven't got the vaccine. Very few people are getting covid twice. I'll trust my natural immunity until reinfections become more common. Then I'll probably take the jab. There are a lot of medical professionals who are refusing the vaccine so that concerns me too. It looks like 70,000 of them could get fired in NY state. (I think I got that number right). Why in the world are so many medical people against it and why does the media silence their voice so much?

I'll be there unless the creek is too high or my race car gets the vapors.

I saw a few episodes of Miami Vice but it never did stick enough to make me a fan. I loved Stingray though. It only lasted two seasons. I think it would have made it big if it would have had better writers. Some episodes were absolutely brilliant and other seemed like they were written by a kid. Nick Mancuso was the coolest guy on TV. I think he teaches acting in Toronto now. When he was at the peak of his career he got married 20 minutes from my house and I didn't know about it until it was in our local paper. I never did get a chance to meet him.

That Chase Elliott feller. What a troublemaker!

That was yesterday? I had it marked on my calender for next week.

My mom is on a ton of medications and they can definitely have side effects in certain combinations. The thing is....there are so many different meds and so many combinations of them, doctors don't even know what can happen. They do know that some meds aren't compatible with others but when you are on a dozen of them it can be confusing. My wife's uncle (RIP) was a happy guy but as his health failed he got on one med after another and eventually had 16. He needed heart surgery and had to drop all his meds for a period of time before his surgery. For awhile there he was back to his fun loving old self.

You are a good detective to notice the two eps had different writers.
