I heard from Hobie yesterday. He is still unable to log in so if there is anyway MM or Hoss can help it would be greatly appreciated. I had a great day yesterday. I went to an all day astronomy convention and after it got dark, got to look through a telescope bigger than a refrigerator. It started to get a bit foggy after midnight so I didn't stay later than that. It was a 2 hour drive home.

Possum on a gumbush. 'Ol Enos turns 87 today. It's so hard to believe since he's always looked 20 years younger....well, not always. I'm sure that wasn't the case when he was 21. That would have been tough. It would have been even tougher when he was 5. Anyways, happy birthday. We're meeting at the Boar's Nest this evening. HossC is buying the buttermilk. They're half price to celebrate your birthday. Boss Hogg sure is generous. Of course the buttermilk has been expired for a month (but with buttermilk it's hard to tell). And Boss is charging 5 bucks to get out.

And can get Daisy to paint the flag.

TV shows just have a shelf life....unless they are General Hospital or something. The models weren't good but that didn't cause the show's demise. We did get a lot of good out of season 7. Happy Birthday General Lee and Go West Young Dukes are on my top ten list of great episodes.

Good question but I bet it had something to do with Boss scamming them somehow. Having to make the mortgage payment on time was always a good foundation to write an episode. Or maybe a bunch of things just came up all at once and they had to borrow from Boss....well run dry and had to drill a new one, tractor broke down, had to buy seed corn for planting season, roof sprung a leak. When it rains it pours.

I said the alien episode but now that you mention it, it might have been the robot ep too. I can't remember where I heard that. Maybe Hoss will shed some light on that tomorrow. It's probably 3 in the morning over there now.

I think the alien one was James Best's idea. They probably just did it as a favor to him.

I was watching Duck Dynasty for awhile there but there is no show that I care about anymore. I watch "Kudlow". It's a financial show.. Thank goodness for the classic TV channels and DVDs. Lately I've been youtubing motorcycles...mostly dirt bike stuff.
