  1. Is the UK going through what the US is? The government is paying people so much to stay home that nobody wants to work so jobs aren't getting filled and businesses are struggling, or even closing. Dirt track racing is over. Yesterday was the last race at our local track. Still have a couple dirt bike races to go though. A chill has been in the air at night, that's for sure. The last two nights we have had a campfire going outside. There's nothing sweeter smelling than campfire smoke.
  2. The Dollar Tree is now the $1.50 store. It sounds like there is going to be more shortages of stuff. ABC Nightly News had Mark Zandi of Moody's Analytical on. He's a heavy hitter in economics and I trust him. He is advising buying Christmas presents now. The Delta variant was so bad in Asia and the factories were shut down for so long, shortages of just about everything are coming.
  3. It's good to hear from you again Philip. Coy and Vance did a good job of keeping the series going but like most fans I rejoiced when Bo and Luke came back. I wish Coy and Vance would have came back for visits. I've met Byron Cherry twice. Great guy!
  4. Poor Spike....more cats. Our puppy has gotten pretty good at scaring deer away. She sits on the window sill and barks when they come in for apples. It's so funny to see a 200 lb buck run for his life when a 15 lb puppy barks.
  5. I was just flipping through some old posts here and noticed I met Dean on 5-19-19.
  6. He played him during Ray's Northeast Ohio Dukes stunt shows. If you haven't checked it out on his website you should.
  7. So sad to hear this. I had several conversations with Dean and loved the guy. Same for Ray's dad. Thanks for telling me Skipper. I'll toast Dean with a glass of buttermilk tonight.
  8. Hey Spike, it sounds like they overdid on the rain dance. I have to admit it, I am a little nervous about mRNA technology since it has never been marketed before now. I am also concerned about the movie "I am Legend".....although the zombie part is over the realistic possibility top). I don't criticize anybody who gets the vaccine though. It is a tough choice since it was not tested in the time that is normally required. I had covid so I haven't got the vaccine. Very few people are getting covid twice. I'll trust my natural immunity until reinfections become more common. Then I'll probably take the jab. There are a lot of medical professionals who are refusing the vaccine so that concerns me too. It looks like 70,000 of them could get fired in NY state. (I think I got that number right). Why in the world are so many medical people against it and why does the media silence their voice so much?
  9. I'll be there unless the creek is too high or my race car gets the vapors.
  10. I saw a few episodes of Miami Vice but it never did stick enough to make me a fan. I loved Stingray though. It only lasted two seasons. I think it would have made it big if it would have had better writers. Some episodes were absolutely brilliant and other seemed like they were written by a kid. Nick Mancuso was the coolest guy on TV. I think he teaches acting in Toronto now. When he was at the peak of his career he got married 20 minutes from my house and I didn't know about it until it was in our local paper. I never did get a chance to meet him.
  11. That Chase Elliott feller. What a troublemaker!
  12. That was yesterday? I had it marked on my calender for next week.
  13. My mom is on a ton of medications and they can definitely have side effects in certain combinations. The thing is....there are so many different meds and so many combinations of them, doctors don't even know what can happen. They do know that some meds aren't compatible with others but when you are on a dozen of them it can be confusing. My wife's uncle (RIP) was a happy guy but as his health failed he got on one med after another and eventually had 16. He needed heart surgery and had to drop all his meds for a period of time before his surgery. For awhile there he was back to his fun loving old self.
  14. baby
  15. You are a good detective to notice the two eps had different writers.
  16. Heading to the local fair with the grandkids tomorrow. I won't be riding any rides though. My back has gotten pretty bad. I have an MRI in 6 days to see if I need surgery. I had an MRI once and felt pretty claustrophobic but I guess you have to do what you have to do.
  17. laugh
  18. We got a lot of rain the past 24 hours too. We usually plant pumpkins and never keep up on watering but didn't have to this year. We always used our smaller pumpkins for decorations and bought bigger ones for jack-o- lanterns but this year we're not going to have to buy any. I think I'm going to wait for the Great Pumpkin this year. I keep getting yelled at for being too old to trick or treat so maybe I'll just pull a Linus this year. If my wife visits me I hope she doesn't slug me if I try to hold her hand.
  19. Hey Hoss, didn't Bo make a comment about General Lee too?....spirit of the South....or something? Welcome to the HazzardNet CreativeWriter. I love your screen name. I would have never thought of it. (little joke there.....very little). We hope to hear more from you.
  20. I picked up a couple dirt bike shirts when I went to the races Saturday. I have 6 dirt bike shirts now and I wear them all the time. I think I'm going to continue to grow my collection. It looks like motocross season is done. (not my local track but the big league on TV) Neither of my favorites won the 250 or 450 class. Better luck next year. An 18 year old won the 250 class. I have socks older than that. His name is Jett Lawrence and he is from Australia. He appears to be the future of dirt bike racing. Time will tell.
  21. PC crossed the line a long time ago and is now officially in the land of insanity.
  22. Star Trek (the ship's chief medical officer)
  23. phones (It rhymes)
  24. I saw that . Any idea how much those cars weigh?
