Bo James arrived safely to America yesterday and is now sleeping off the jet-lag. I'm sure before too long we'll be raisin' us so much a ruckus up my way that the local authorities will be only too happy to see us trek our way to Georgia on Wednesday!!! Anyway, I thought it would be nice if those who wanted to could give Bo James a nice down-home welcome to America. Let me be the first.... WELCOME TO AMERICA!!!! I'm soooooo glad you're here:p So....um....wanna rp? hehe.

The Real Dukes Of Hazzard: The Jerry Rushing Story - Epilogue, p. 307 quote "If I had a real wish for the many Dukes Of Hazzard fans, it would be that they not only continue to enjoy the fun and the joy that it brought to many of us over the years, but that they would see through the fun and comedy to this real-life story of the man behind the story." Jerry Elijah Rushing Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

so i got this idea (yes i'm writting a story about it too) that what if like one of those times that the boys are in Californy for say the Daytona and Uncle Jesse had to come and rescue them and say Granny and Uncle Jesse got married and she and the rest the clampetts moved to Georgia what do y'all think that'd be like? i know Granny would give Daisy a hard time about the way she dress (and not havin' a man) i know the boys wouldn't let Jethro drive the general i think Granny would give Boss Hogg and Roscoe and Cletus a hard time i know Enos would get a hard time from Granny about not marryin' Daisy (poor thing) i really can't think of what Jed and Elly's trials would be…

Does anybody know someone in the big blizzard? Our daughter and her family live in Winchester Virginia so they're in the worst part of it. So far they still have electricity so if that holds out they'll be fine. They don't have a lot of snow plows down there so it will be a long time before they clear this out. They could get four feet of snow.

Yesterday, USA Today did a story about the skyrocketing popularity of reality shows based on rednecks. Some of the shows they mentioned were "Swamp People", "Hillbilly Handfishin'" and "Bayou Billionaires". They mentioned others but you get the idea. I'm thrilled with these new shows. I've seen some of them and I'm excited that they are so popular now. There's always going to be a few people who watch these shows to make fun of the rednecks but I'll agree with the author of the story (Carol Memmott) that the vast majority of viewers like these shows because the people on them are so real, unique and authentic. I'll add that I think these shows are going to be around a …

Has anybody seen the new football league? I have always thought, it feels kind of lonely and I always have withdrawal feelings when it's all over for the NFL. I think this may be good. There are 8 teams and for now. I think I'm going with the Houston Rough Necks! They don't have a name like that in any other sport, that I know of. It reminds me of when Cooter's buddy came to town and was framed for stealing that truck and Cooter had to help him out. Remember? They were laughing and talking about all the rough necking they used to do.....WHAT.... is a Rough Neck? I think it's a politically Correct term for RED neck! You guys ought to try these teams out. They're pretty …

It's good to see that some boys from Georgia won the Little League World Series. I wonder if any of them are from Hazzard? It's possible...after all that kid that hit the homerun that won the final game made that thing fly farther than the General Lee jumping Miller's Creek. Congratulations boys!!!

I don't know if this would be the proper place to put this thread or not, so I apologize if it is in the wrong section. I just created a new public group called Hazzard County's NASCAR Group and as the title implies it is about NASCAR. It is a place to talk anything NASCAR from your favorite driver, your favorite race or track, to the upcoming chase, and about past races as well as the upcoming race. It is open to who ever wants to join and to talk about NASCAR . Here is the link to the group. http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/group.php?groupid=22&gmid=464#gmessage464 Thank-you.

Some of ya'll were recently asking if we had an app for mobile devices. Mufn reminded me that we do have an app for iPhones. It's free and you can download it from iTunes. Just do a search for "hazzardnet" on the iTunes app section. Please note that if you don't already have iTunes installed, you'll need to do the free download first. Then do your search. At this time, we don't have a universal mobile app, such as thru android. That's a whole different can of corn. We apologize for any inconvenience. Meanwhile, we hope that the iPhone app helps some of you out. Thank you, as always, for your input and comments, as it helps us with future planning for HazzardNet!

So I was on the H-net homepage today waiting for my uber-slow internet to load the nav bar to get to the forums, and I got distracted and left the computer. When I got back, all the posts on the home page were up, including the April Fools Day joke about how H-net was sold. And I believed it. I thought that the part about Brian working at MAD was kinda far-fetched, but I still believed it. lol. I'm such an idiot! haha

I need to have someone help me put a good moonshine avatar picture on my profile and by the way, is my last name supposed to be Hawkins or Harkins? Remember now, I'm buzzing, plus I am almost completely computer illiterate. Thank you ahead of time.

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving! Up here in Canada, we like to have it early before the snow gets too deep So this weekend, families across the country are getting together to eat turkey and pie and have good times together! My family, that includes deep frying a turkey, going hunting with my brother, some crazy quadding with my cousins and a good game of redneck-paintball. (ripping around a field on quads, shooting each other with paintball guns. Fun times! ) Also, my cousins made this huge dirtbike jump that I'm itching to try before I gotta go back to school! (I smell a Dukes of Hazzard like video montage!) So have a happy Thanksgiving!!!

Please check out this link and remember Conyers, GA and it's people. This area was in and near Dukes of Hazzard filming locations. We also lost 5 people (4 children) in Kentucky. http://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2013/01/09/Four-children-killed-in-Georgia-house-fire/UPI-35241357735228/?spt=hs∨=tn Now, after you give your kids an extra tight hug, please check your batteries in your smoke detector and IF you didn't change them when you set your clock in the fall, change them now. Our local volunteer fire department is lucky not to have many structure fires, but when we get them in Nov, Dec and Jan they are hot ones and the old structures in our county are usually too far gone …

Ron Santo died yesterday at the age of seventy due to bladder cancer. Ron played his entire professional baseball career with the Chicago Cubs and was the radio announcer for the Cubs games after that. Of all that I had heard of him, he was a great baseball player and seemed to be a great guy all together. He will be deeply missed in Chicago and all of the Cubs fans. (This is just not a good year to be a Cubs fan. Don't know if there are any other Cubs fans on the board, but not only did they have a horrible season, in my opinion, they also traded some very valuable Cubs players during the Cubs season (especially Derek Lee...never underst and why they traded him for...). …
