Hi Hobie, if I remember correctly, you cannot add an avatar until you complete your 'probation' period, which I think ends when you reach 10 posts (so you're over half way ). There are certain restrictions on the size of picture you can use (excuse technical bit): the picture should be no bigger than 150 x 150 pixels and have a file size under 19.5kb. To put this in context, most users have an avatar about 100 x 125 pixels, so that's about the size to look for. Do you have a picture already?. If you have trouble resizing your picture, or want further instructions, feel free to send me a PM (click my name at the top of this post and then click 'Send a private message to HossC', it's easy enough from there). Besides, to borrow a line from Monty Python's 'Life of Brian', "You are all individuals" (I never did work out why they made a movie about the life of one of HNet's moderators ).
April 12, 201115 yr plus I am almost completely computer illiterate. Nice! someone else who is somewhat computer illiterate. Now I don't feel so lonely anymore amongst all these computer geniuses.
