Starting a thread for Dukesfest 2008 to share news and stuff. Me first: Byron Cherry posted on a Yahoo group that John was filming near his home and invited him over to hang out. They hugged for the first time in 25 years and had a blast and thus it is official Byron a.k.a. Coy Duke will be at Dukesfest 2008. He goes on to say that if anyone has any Duke related questions you can e-mail him and he'll be more than happy to answer.

I'd like to go to a Fan Events And Cooter's i live CA and don't have funds or I would. I'm going to add it to my bucket list though.

Is anyone going to the birthday bash/celebration at Cooters’ in Luray next weekend? Looks like a good time with a lot of the cast there.

Hey y'all FYI: The Dukesfest DVD may be a bit behind schedule for release due to some rights issues with WB. I'm not sure how far behind...I do know that it is in the final editing stage.... If I hear more, I'll let ya know.

I was wondering how many are going to Dukes Fest at the end of the month? Where are you coming?

I have just learned of a recent interview with John Schneider.They were discussing the uproar about the Confederate flag and in the interview he said they are going to do their part and the flags will be covered on the cars with a magnet or something.I'll post the links hope it's ok. I hope he was joking around but he sounds serious.We at the CGLFC are trying to get official word about this interview from John himself. AGAIN THIS IS JUST RUMOR AT THIS POINT.However,IF it is indeed confirmed that the flags must be covered I will strongly say we all should boycott Dukesfest. Hey everyone! Lawrenceburg, IN is having a Dukes of Hazzard Benefit Event "Dearborn County Turns Hazzard County" in August. It is going to be an exciting day for Dukes' fans. We will be having a Daisy Duke Look-a-Like Contest, a Flash (the dog) Look-a-Like contest, an Uncle Jesse's chili cooking contest, a car show and swap meet (where Sheriff Little, for one, will be driven into the event in his police car) where we will have many Dukes vehicles coming in from owners all over the area. Is the rumor true of Dukesfest celebrating the 30th anniversary in Atlanta?

As y'all know from my post that introduced me in the Introduce Yourself thread... I have been a long time Duke fan since age 9 1996 TNN. Well, in 2012 on 8/12/12 my big time dream of meeting the cast and getting their autographs finally happened. It was an awesome experience! The cast even stayed at the same hotel that me and my mom stayed at! I got to have breakfast with Enos at his room. He carried with him one of those portable CD/Tape deck players, and played the long 2:06 Waylon Jennings version of the theme song on it on the walk to his room. hello my name is bryan ferguson i live in oklahoma city and i went to dukefest 07 it was my first dukefest ever and i loved it my experience was great but i did not get to meet the cast bo luke daisy and i did not get to do my favorite thing was to get a ride in the general lee with bo luke daisy and cooter the trip from oklahoma to tennesee was wonderfull and i stayed at the raddison hotel and there were a lot of dukefans staying there and i waled over to coooters place and i was in duke heaven and i saw some of greatest cars and people on the planet everyone there was like a big dukesfamily and i was exepted into the family even after i told everyone i was from oklahoma…

Hey yall, me and my family are thinking of going to Dukesfest 2007. I haven't been to a Dukesfest before, and I would like to know what there is to do. Are there certain shows, car stunts, activities? DETAILS PLEASE!!!!!

I was in Gatlinburg Tn. last weekend and Rick Hurst ,"Cletus Hogg",was at cooter's garage, and he said that dukesfest 09 might possible be held around that area at the fair grounds.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me how things work at dukefest in the nature of autographs. Now do they have a list of who is going to be where and what times? Any tips on getting autographs? If we are able to make the trip this year it would be our first and it is for my 5 year old son who is a huge dukes of hazzard fan and really wants to go but I was wondering if I could get some tips or help on what to do because he really would like to meet bo and luke. Thanks for any help it is greatly appreciatted.

The 1st Dukesfest presented by Cooter's Place in Sperryville Virginia was late August 2001. http://www.cootersplace.com/ 10th anniversary/reunion is in mid August 2011.
