Okay this is a game I got from The Oak Ridge Boys message board thingy mcbobber.... Okay what you do...put a song title, and then the next person can take any word from that title and then post another song with that word in it. Try to pick a song that has at least three or four words in it...so we have something to chose from...and we'll try to avoid the same ones...for a while....lol... 1.) If Heavan Ain't A lot Like Dixie- Hank Williams Jr. 2.) You Ain't Just Whistlin' Dixie- The Bellamy Brothers 3.) Can't You Hear Me Callin'- Dwight Yoakam etc...etc....etc.... Y'all get the point... The first song title is: Just the Good Ol' Boys- Waylon Jennings

Okay, so I'm bored. Just for fun, I'm proposing a little game. Let's say it's a guessing game. Let's see if we can guess facts about each other if clues are provided. Here's how it would work: One states what it is they want people to try to guess about themself (this can be anything, such as your age, your job, birth city, etc.). They then provide a few clues and other people use those clues to try and guess. Anyone can participate. You may participate in a number of ways: 1. You can just provide clues to get others to guess something about you but not try to guess about other participants. 2. You may just try to guess the answer to other participants clues but not post…

In case anybody is depending on closed-captioning to give you information on Dukes trivia, be careful of how much you can trust the spelling. For example, on "Enos in Trouble" (DVD) they spell Meadowmuffin, metal muffin (our Supreme Superior Commander is going to be furious) and in the same episode when Enos mentions his Uncle Odie they spell it Uncle Putney. How they got that far away from the actual word, I'll never know. Incidently, here's a little bit of Hazzard trivia that Sonny Shroyer told me personally.....Odie is his real-life father's name. He revealed that to me when I told him that I had a great-Uncle Odie and thought it was neat that Enos had one. Possum on a…

Today was a good day. My family shows show cattle, breeding stock cattle to be exact. Today was our county fair's beef show and we took Resv. Champion in our breed class. I was showing the winning heifer and she behaved very well in the arena. This was the first time in about two years that I actually touched a cattle halter or a show stick and showed a cow. I have been away at college and work, trying very hard to find my place in the world. When I was with those heifer's working with them getting them ready in the morning for the show, I could feel the experience I've had with cattle all come rushing back to me. It was like ridding a bike; I never forgot how to do it. F…

Hey Everyone! Today is a special day. It's a holiday here in Hazzard county. Yes, yes... You're all are like holiday? Since when? Well, when is not important and I don't know when it started, why isn't exactly important either.... It's just a Nameless holiday. The Hazzard bank is closed. My office is closed. The Nest is serving free beer tonight and tonight only. To celebrate this Nameless Hazzard Holiday, you wear something black. Then tonight at the stroke of midnight you howl at the moon and fall down on your knees and say... "Whaaaa ta fooooo iam!" Then dance around in circles for five seconds. Crazy? Yes, we know... but if you do this you'll have all the luck of the…

Hello to all you fine people out there. There doesn't appear to be a 'New Members' forum, so I've posted here I've only recently found this site & decided to join. I reside in the northern section of England in the fair county of Yorkshire. In response to what may be one of the first questions anyone asks; Yes there's a few 'General' replicas over here, but only 1 original studio car that I know of & that's in a museum My main automotive delight over here is Land Rovers, being on my 4th. However, I'm off to drive a TVR Griffith 500 for my 40th birthday very soon (its performance makes a Viper look sissy ) Yes, I'd love a 69 Charger. (who wouldn't??), but with our…

Aside from Dukes of Hazzard, one of my other favorite shows is Lost In Space. One thing I've noticed is that both Dr. Smith and Rosco have similar catchphrases. Coincidence? I don't know. But it lead me to do this...

Let's see if this catches on! I've seen something similar at another fan site for another show from a different country, and it proved really popular. Rules are simple, just keep it in order, each post containing a word appropriate to the next letter of the alphabet. Could just be a single word, or a name (either character, actor or production crew), or part of a quote, phrase or saying....anything from Dukes works. I'll do the first few and see if this gains traction. Granny ANNIE

There are a few people on here that don't drink but a few that do, so I thought I'd put this in The Swamp. What kinds of beer do you guys like or drink? I usually drink a poor man's beer Milwaukee's Best Ice but my fav. is Heineken! ( Drink Heineken....you'll feel fine again!) I've become more attracted to Ice Beer here lately. There IS hard liquor, like Moonshine but I usually don't drink Moon or anything else hard. If you drink the easy to drink stuff either fast enough or enough in quantity, you get the Buzz you're after! So, what do other Hazzzardites drink when it comes to alcohol?

Kids say the darnedest things! NUDITY I was driving with my three young children one warm summer evening when a woman in the convertible ahead of us stood up and waved. She was stark naked! As I was reeling from the shock, I heard my 5-year-old shout from the back seat, "Mom ! That lady isn't wearing a seat belt!" OPINIONS On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents." KETCHUP A woman was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the jar. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 4-year-old daughter to answer the phone. The little …
