I can't see any mention of this shootout on HazzardNet, so I thought I'd post it even though it's about 3 years old. UK TV show Fifth Gear is kind of a poor relation to BBC's Top Gear (some of the presenters used to be on Top Gear before they changed the format). Back in 2007 they decided to race General Lee against Starsky and Hutch's Gran Torino (spelt 'Grand Torino' in the title). The driver is presenter Vicki Butler-Henderson who holds both car and powerboat racing licenses.

Television just lost a legend. Larry Hagman played many roles in his great career. He first rose to superstardom by playing Major Tony Nelson on "I Dream of Jeannie". However, the role he'll most be remembered for is J.R. I just watched on CMT, The Warren Brothers Barely Famous. They went to Dukes Fest and bought an old car painted it orange and went to the fest to see if John Schnieder would race them. It was great...John raced them and of course he won. He's a good driver that John!! If ya missed it ya'll have to catch it on reruns or maybe tonight in the different time zones. Sunday, in Cleveland we had a Ice Storm and I decided to stay and so I was bored and had watch all of my Dukes of Hazzard Seasons Sets. Decided to go down memory lane with Knight Rider and watched Knight of Juggernacht(If I messed up the German spelling somebody please correct with it). Let me see a show of hands of the people who are ENJOYING, the new Knight Rider. Im always open mind to new series like this because so many people seem to be wary of new deals like this. Thats why I cant believe how much I really enjoy and look forward to seeing the new episodes every Wednesday. Anyone else feeling the same way about the series? Since I quite liked Top Gear US and heard my favorite host started a show of his own I just had to watch. Rutledge Wood, he presents stuff on NASCAR (No I don;t know what he presents there) and is my favorite host on Top Gear US. He started his own show called Lost in Transmission. I'm quite a fan of old American cars and so I thought his show is quite good. You can sort of say it is like Overhaulin' but with Rutledge restoring the cars together with his friend and a Mechanic for a price lower then what you would pay if you would let it do by a shop. I've just read the sad news that Roger E. Mosley, best known for playing Theodore "T.C." Calvin in 'Magnum P.I.', has died following a car crash in Los Angeles last week. He was 83. T.C. was Thomas Magnum's helicopter flying buddy from their time in Vietnam. From the article I read, Gerald McRaney was previously considered for the part of T.C. He was also once considered for the part of Luke Duke, but his only appearance in Dukes was as a workman in 'Hazzard Connection'. McRaney finally went on to take lead roles in 'Simon & Simon' and 'Major Dad'.
