Movies

Debate which of the three Smokey and the Bandit movies were the best (I'll give you a hint, it wasn't the third). Or just talk about your other favorite movies.

I don't know if any of ya'll got to see this movie on GMC, but it was a very good movie. Oh, did I mention Sonny Shroyer was in it? Well he was. It took at least a 1/2 hour, but he's in it. I would recommend this movie, even if it is just to see Sonny in it.

I watched The Blind Side last night - starring Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw. I thought it was an awesome movie - a very emotional movie, especially knowing they are based on true events. Glad to see that it all ended up at a good end, an happy ending. This is the third movie that Tim McGraw has been in, though this is the first one that I've seen him in. Haven't seen the other two as of yet. Surprisingly since I am a big fan of his music. Anyway, I thought he did a great job playing the part he played! Just thought I'd give my two cents worth on and to see what everyone else thought of the movie that has seen it so far.

I just bought a copy of the movie "Black Dog" and it has Patrick Swayze, Randy Travis and Meatloaf and it's pretty cool movie. The entire soundtrack is nothing but Country Music and it seems that my boyfriend at the time when he had went to the theatre to see didn't even like it because the musice bugged the heck out of him. Well, that was ten years ago the theatre where I had seen at in Parmatown mall is now a Dick's Sporting Goods and I dumped him because he tricked my into getting him a Bp Credit Card in which he charged around 600 dollars to it. Well, I got the last laugh because his first credit card has said "Brain instead Brian" and BP considered it a joint account…

I just got my copy of "Ministry of Vengeance" and John Schneider and he's the start of the movie. He plays a priest that has his wife and daughter killed right in front of him and he goes out for revenge. It's quite a different role for him he pretty good with a gun.

One of my all-time favorite comedies, even though I'm not a golf fan. None of the characters, even Judge Smails, are really despisable. In fact, my sister and I will break out into Ted Knight impersonations and see who cracks up more. Bill Murray is a hoot. Rodney Dangerfield is still his wacky self. And don't get me started on the Baby Ruth in the pool scene. NOONAN!!!!

My friends loved this movie and it shows a lot about the Southern culture. I do have a question though. At one point, the mother gets excited and says she's going to "put on the dog!" My friends and I could never figure out what this meant. Mind you, we're all from the Midwest and are not completely familiar with the Southern dialect. Also, is this phrase in any direct relation to what Cooter and Enos have both said before? "You done scared my dog!"

The star of this movie appears to be a black 1969 Dodge Charger. Supporting co-stars include a Chevelle and a Camaro. Oh, Nicolas Cage is in it too, but who cares. Lookit the cars. This flick is described as an "action-horror" film. It won't be contending for any awards, but I give it early points for including real cars. I don't care if the acting is horrible and the script is awful. It's an hour and a half of car chases and explosions - count me in.

Has anyone seen the previews of this move yet? I watched a preview of it online last night and saw one for the first time today on TV. Looks action packed and exciting. The only actor I know is Matthew McConaughey as the lead guy - Defense lawyer, Micky Haller. It will be coming out on theatres starting March 18th. (Does s how a suggestive scene in just to warn y'all...it's rated R I think.)The movie does look action packed and exciting, but the main reason I am excited is that the movie is taken from the book Lincoln Lawyer that is wrote by one of my favorite authors: Michael Connelly. I've read all of his books and I have read Lincoln Lawyer to know that it'll be a …

OK…saw I saw Eddie Macon's run day before yesterday and Snow Beast yesterday. This thread is to talk about movies that John Schneider has either acted in or I think he directs to…and it doesn't have to be just John if he and other members of the Dukes cast is in it that's OK too. And I would like suggestions for movies to watch. I have Netflix so…if I have titles I can look for movies and watch them.

Hey y'all I bought the Back To The Future box set on Sunday. My family are away down the country today, and I'm not feeling that great, so I decided to have a Back To The Future day. I wasn't around in the 80's, but I'm sure the idea of hoverboards and flying cars was very believable. Imagine what the world will be like in 30 years, in 2042!! I can easily imagine flying cars and hoverboards, especially since Doc and Marty have already been to 2015 and hoverboards and flying cars were common. So is everyone looking forward to converting their cars to flying mode? Or is everyone preparing for the end of the world in December?

  23. Super Troopers was amusing. Anyone who likes R rated adult humor, will probably enjoy this flick. The actual plot wasn't a bad idea. Having other people play Starsky and Hutch was interesting. While Paul and David are the originals, Ben and Owen did a good job. Had this been about new characters, I would have enjoyed it just as much because of the storyline.

I'm gonna recommend a couple o' flicks for all us motorheads. Most of these will not be Oscar nominated movies...but hell, we're Dukes fans, so critical acclaim ain't no concern. For a Hazzard-esque feel, sans moonshine, I recommend a little-known movie called "Eat My Dust", starring Ron Howard, circa 1976. Rated PG by the standards in the day. It's my own opinion that some of the Dukes writers borrowed a little bit from the look and feel of this movie. There's a scene in particular that will be instantly familair - where an orange car goes barreling around in a field, spitting up clouds of dust to confound a police cruiser. It looks so much like the end credits s…

I watched this film the other day, and discovered a continuity error! When the bomber comes out of the loo in his flat, you see him sit down in front of screens. One of them has a film of the bus moving along the highway with police escorting them, while Jack and Sandra Bullock (the character's name skipped my mind right now) are speeding round the airport runway. With no police at all!!!
