Anyone remember this movie? I'm unable to find it on DVD anywhere.

Super Troopers was amusing. Anyone who likes R rated adult humor, will probably enjoy this flick. The actual plot wasn't a bad idea. Having other people play Starsky and Hutch was interesting. While Paul and David are the originals, Ben and Owen did a good job. Had this been about new characters, I would have enjoyed it just as much because of the storyline.

My friends loved this movie and it shows a lot about the Southern culture. I do have a question though. At one point, the mother gets excited and says she's going to "put on the dog!" My friends and I could never figure out what this meant. Mind you, we're all from the Midwest and are not completely familiar with the Southern dialect. Also, is this phrase in any direct relation to what Cooter and Enos have both said before? "You done scared my dog!"

Anyone ever see SPEED ZONE with John Candy and Eugene Levy? John Schneider has a small cameo appearance, and their are some cool cars in it, including a Lamborghini Countach.

Man , what a movie...The last day of High School in 1976.Arguably one of the better "generation" movies along with American Graffiti and Fast Times At Ridgemont High...Plus the cast. if you have watched the dukes of hazzard reunion both when it was on tv and the video that was sold by columbia house, did u notice in the original airing of it on tv don williams mentioned that rosco's new dog,tuitles,was the grandpup of flash but that part wasnt in the columbia house video so has anyone else noticed this?

I love the son called "Get a Bloomin Move On it" it has this one verse called "The Self-Preservation Society" those three Mini's could give the General a run for the Money. It Stars Michael Caine as Charlie Croker.

Anybody who likes racin' movies will love this one. It is based on an article "The Last American Hero is Junior Johnson" by Tom Wolfe and appeared in Esquire magazine back in the 60's. the movie came out in 73 and stars Jeff Bridges as Junior Jackson , the son of a moonshiner who has dreams of racin in NASCAR. Anybody here ever see the movie The Villain with Kirk Douglas, Ann-Margaret, and Arnold Schwarzenegger? It's a classic good guy wins, bad guy gets pummeled in so many different funny ways type movie. This in my guess, is the best trucker flick of all time. It came out in 1975, with jan michael vincent, and kay lenz. Jan, plays a honest trucker that just came back from the war, and his fathers company, (his father died) went dirty. It shows what, the company did to keep him from shutting them down.

I don't have good details on this one, I'm hoping Cap'n Redneck can help me out. It was mentioned on another thread and this is a wild flick worth mentioning here. First of all, the getaway car in this flick is a black Charger, and I believe it's a '69 or '68. This is another 70's-era movie that was a cross between an action/crime flick and massive car chase. I'm gonna recommend a couple o' flicks for all us motorheads. Most of these will not be Oscar nominated movies...but hell, we're Dukes fans, so critical acclaim ain't no concern. For a Hazzard-esque feel, sans moonshine, I recommend a little-known movie called "Eat My Dust", starring Ron Howard, circa 1976. Rated PG by the standards in the day. It's my own opinion that some of the Dukes writers borrowed a little bit from the look and feel of this movie. Alright everyone, didn't think I would let someone else start a Burt Reynolds movie topic and not begin with Smokey And The Bandit. This is one of the best Good Ol' Boy car chase / trucker movies that they have ever made. Great cast that worked so great together. Jerry Reed was awesome . I think White Lightning was much better than than the sequil, Gator. I think it's a cooler story, and all those Ford LTD's in the chase scenes. (especially the one Burt Reynolds drove with the 429 and 4 speed manual. ) Gator wasn't a bad movie, but I think it wasn't as good as White Lightning. It just didn't impress me much. I chose White Lightning on the cover first. After seeing Burt on the cover with a shotgun, I thought this would be a good movie! Then, I read the back about car chase scenes. That's when I whipped out my cash.
