I have a Dukes of Hazzard belt buckle that I'm looking for more info about. This was given to me in 1978 by a woman who "almost" got the part as Daisy Duke for the TV show. According to her, upon receiving the call-back from the director, Miss Bach got the part and not her. The director gave her this belt buckle for her time, I guess. It is rectangular and is a confederate flag with "Dukes of Hazzard 1978" in raised lettering. It is silver plated and red/blue enamel for the colors. On the back is etched "Napolean". Hi I have a Dukes Pedal Car that was given as a gift to are daughter for Xmas sometime in the 80's. I've been told that this car is petty rare. It was sitting up in are shed rafters for years so I had my husband take it down so we could check it out. The hood and both doors are missing (however I think that they are in a box somewhere still up on the rafters. My daughter attempted to paint the truck yellow it appeared, however when I removed a portion of the paint it left the orange plastic in excellent shape. Too bad she didn't paint the whole car. I just got my Danbury Mint General Lee it is one of the most detailed General Lee's ever made, it is as close to what we would like in it as you could possibly get and it has a CB attenae on the back of it like th real thing, It even has a tire jack and a tire in the back trunk and a very detailed engine inside it and I just bought it Brand New! Dukes of Hazzard toy marketing this year is alive and well ! The new 1:18 sale RC General Lee ( 27 MHz) features box art with the new Duke faces - along with Jessica's boobs right above the logo. The car itself is a lot of fun, and worth the price. It's not an ERTL product, though - it's made by "Malibu International." And of course it's made in China. Walmart seems to have the market cornered on this baby. If anyone else carries it, I haven't been able to find it. Walmart is also carrying JoyRide/ERTL "Hot Pursuit" 3-car sets. Ok, first a scream because I didn't buy this thing last summer when it was cheaper: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! Now, the news. Apparently, this @#$&* die-cast General Lee that looks like it has "dirt" on the quarter panels, is a limited edition with 2500 made. I'm not sure of that....a mere 2500 made?! It's possible, because I can't find them locally at the die-cast collectors at any price. I've seen maybe 2 on ebay in the last few weeks. Does anyone know where I can find the orange General Lee novelty shirt in Los Angeles. I can care less if it's vintage. I need it by Tuesday and I would prefer to walk into a store and buy it.
