Dukes of Hazzard Movies

In case any of you were curious the producer of the Dukes movie hired the stunt coordinator from the Borne Supremecy to do the car chase scenes and for any of you that have scene that movie this is good news! All the scenes in that film were exciting and hair raising. It tells me that they are taking this movie seriously even if it's gonna have a more contemporary feel, which I like. They made 23 General Lee's for the chase scenes alone and had a few others that didn't get destroyed. And good news for all you Mopar fans out there, most of the cars they destroyed were actually wrecks from the t.v. that they rebuilt, so no gratuitous Charger crashing like Fast and the F…

Hey guys i'm new here. I was casted as an extra in the movie and got to watch a lot of the filming in Baton Rouge and Clinton. Everyone was awesome on the set, esspecially Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville, and Willie Nelson. Below i have posted some photos i took during some of the filming, as well as a video. I ran into Paul Walker at Sema in Las Vegas and asked him when the Dukes movie was coming out. He said that he was not cast for the part? The last I heard he had it. Who is playing Bo Duke? Every movie gets edited, eventually. but in the trailer i began to notice tons of scenes from the dukes movie that never appeared in the actual film, that shouldve! i nabbed some screen shots here. let me know what you guys think. this one looks like the jump scene during the rally nearing the end of the flick: a great shot from the first jump in the film, not shown in theaters. "Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning" hit the top 20 in DVD sales during it's first week of release, scoring 16th. Other first-week releases include "Casino Royale" which rolled in to #1. Mocking and ridiculing beloved tv classics seems to be the "in thing" in Hollywood now. My brother is a die hard Starsky and Hutch fan. I am a die hard Dukes fan. And neither of us are jumping for joy to see our favorite shows made into painful parodies.

Hi fans, I am new to this forum....but have been watching the show since new....I wanted to put my 2 cents here about the movie. I just saw it last night due to a free TX that I got from the purchase of a video set. I unfortunately, have to say I hated the movie. It had no plot line, no follow to the show, and to top it off- it put the dukes in a position of being the mean ones. (I mean as far as wrecking everything). I found the movie to be just for the men who wanted to see Jessica Simpson strut her body around. I give it a thumbs down...fans. I'm buying the 1975 movie Moonrunners and I going to watch the new Dukes movie. I've heard that Moonrunners is horrible, but I also know that Moonrunners was the inspiration for the Dukes of Hazzard. With all the hype that is going on with this new movie, I'm starting to feel like this movie will be a real turd. I thought, to make things interesting, I would watch both films and see which one has better characters, better car chases, and, pretty much, which one is the bigger disappointment. If you've seen Moonrunners put in your two cents.

I have mixed feelings about the upcoming movie. I love the original Dukes, but I hate what Hollyweird has been doing to the shows that many of us grew up on. Plus: I like the fact that Burt and Willie are apart of this project. Personally, I think that Burt would have been better as Roscoe and have Mr. Gainey play Boss. Gainey being the serious to Burt's comical side would have worked out better, but I'll give this the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure (without reading everything) if anyone's posting about this DVD from England, but I managed to find a copy on sale last week in HMV (a British music chain-store) It's quite amusing in places; Luke crying as Daisy tells him about the virginity pledges Loulou stuffing the Turkey with Luke Not sure about a seemingly gay Cooter though???? I know that Willie Nelson is playing Uncle Jesse's role for movie. He is kind of too skinny for this role. I happened watch movie and found a perfect guy for Uncle Jesse's role. His name is Mickey Jones and he fit for this character. He is stocky, with long hair and bear and wear overall. He like to look for revenge with laugh. That's my opinion. By the way, He appeared in Dukes of Hazzard tv show three times. I agree that Danny should play Boss Hogg.

Alright ya'll, I have been debating on whether or not to say anything at all on this site about the movie. I have been reading and watching patiently with the rest of you to see the new movie, and quite frankly I was disappointed with quite a few Dukes fans...and, I'm sorry to say it, Ben Jones. Ok i have read that Scott's Bo seems stupped but there where times the John's Bo was'nt the brights lights in all of Hazzard Also in the movie they seem to be women crazy but they where like that in the show to.
