Dukes of Hazzard Movies

When CMT starts airing original episodes of "The Dukes of Hazzard" next month, I feel that the same exact thing is going to happen again just like it did when the old TNN aired the Dukes back in 1996. Dukes-mania!!! An entirely new generation was introduced to the Dukes in 1996 and I'm sure that we'll all see the same thing happen once again. Just think of all of the new Dukes-related merchandise that hit in late '90s because of the show's rebirth in popularity. Having the Dukes on the air again prior to the release of the new movie will definately help the new movie when it is released. What do you think? GADuke01

They will hve one July 30th which will showcase the cast from the movie. Then on Aug 20th they will sit down with the original TV cast. I'm unsure of times so please check your local listings.

Wanted to let you guys know that I found a new Collier & Co. - Hot Pursuit 2 Disc DVD at our local Rite Aid Pharmacy for $4.99! Yes $4.99! I couldn't believe it. I almost feel like I should mail John some money. Watched the special features disc last night and going to watch the movie tonight. Don't know if Mr. Schneider realizes it is being so so cheap, but I didn't think twice about grabbing it.

I know ya'll have heard they are coming out w/ the unrated version possibly, blah blah blah, but my favorite DVD site has pictures now!! From a few things I found on the net, the Execs at WB werent sure what to do about the Confederate Flag that adorns the General Lee in the upcoming movie. Apparently they decided to leave it on, but the compromise was that there had to be a scene which dipics the Flag as 'unfavorable' to some people. Whata y'all think about this controversy? I think if they left it off, the movie would be a joke.(If it's not going to be anyway).

I was thinking last night who could play Cooter. Then my mind said how about Larry the Cable guy from "Blue Collar TV". I think He Would great, what do ya all think.

First let me say this is the best site I've found for info about the movie. I'm the part owner of the garage that is being used for Cooter's. The filming started on the afternoon of November 18 and ran until about midnite. It continued after lunch the next day and ran until about 2:30 am. It seems as though rumor has overwhelmed most of the locale postings; here's the truth: Yes, most of the filming will be completed in and around Clinton, LA (when I say around I mean right outside of town). Some is being wrapped up North of Zachary / South of Jackson (chase scene where the cars run through a barn). Most chase scenes are done on Overton-Ford (gravel) Road outside of Clinton. I havent seen the movie yet, but heard a while back about the scene that touches on the Confederate Battle Flag on the General's roof. Could someone please explain this scene to me...what is said and what exactly happens. This scene is one of the reasons I havent seen the movie yet. If it degrades the flag in any way I probably wont go to see it. Thanks.

Every movie gets edited, eventually. but in the trailer i began to notice tons of scenes from the dukes movie that never appeared in the actual film, that shouldve! i nabbed some screen shots here. let me know what you guys think. this one looks like the jump scene during the rally nearing the end of the flick: a great shot from the first jump in the film, not shown in theaters. First of all he didn't look good at all and he seemed so spaced out as if he had been on Willie's bus to long or maybe the year's of drug use has toke it toll everytime Jay asked a question he would answer it but he would be looking like up inseted at Jay it was real sad to watch him.

I know season 5 of the Dukes of Hazzard starts with Coy & Vance as replacements till much later in the season when Bo & Luke return. I was curious if all 4 ever appeared in the same episode? I would assume if this ever happened it happened during the episode Bo & Luke returned.

How many of you belive Ben Jones saw the movie? Considering schnieder approved( mabe he told him about it) and the feed back from fans was good I think he should give it a chance. Besides I havent heard ONE person post somthing along the lines of " gee since Ben Jones says the movie is bad im not going to see it" not one. Just because fans might not agree with every thing thats in the movie dosn't mean where not going to go see it. I caught most of it, and the stunt scenes look very cool. Saw another chase scene that hadn't been shown on the previews yet, and it was wild. The bar fight scene looked like good ol' mayhem too. But no matter how many times they show Jessica with her "Something bounced up into my undercarriage" line, it doesn't improve. Anybody else see it? Whad'ja think?
