Say what you will. The movie wouldn't be any big deal if it were something I wasn't raised on. My family was never together. When Dukes came on, be it cookin' dinner or fixin' the house, my parents and sister would drop everything to watch. When TNN dropped it years ago, we stopped that hour of family time. Now that it's back on CMT, things have fallen back into their old groove pretty quick. They're taking a major part of what shaped my childhood and screwing it up. It's like taking someone's favorite candy and changing the recipe. It could be sweeter, it could be more sour or it could just be nasty, but it isn't what they love. Even though the movie wasn't even close to being even a little bit like the original, I still enjoyed it for what it was, and here are two of my favorite quotes out of the movie..... If this new "review" of the movie is true, which I doubt, there's alot of inconsistencies. First, the person says that the car starts off orange with different fonted numbers on the doors, but the flag isn't on it until after the first jump when it's wrecked? It's not even called The General Lee unitl some hillbillys help fix the car and that's when the flag is painted on along with "General Lee." Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Cooter supposed to be the one fixing the car and painting all the logos on? This of course after they bring him a BLACK charger. Have bought the DVD and scenes are changed somewhat. Does anyone know where I can get a dvd of the movie as it was shown in the theaters?I was an extra in the movie and scenes I was in were changed on the dvd I found in the stores.

Can a big screen Dukes of Hazzard Movie really be as good as the show ? I mean even the movie moonrunners was good but when it does get made it will atleast be worth the wait, in the meantime we still have the dvd to take us back to those friday night when we sat down to watch Dukes so 01 will always ride forever.

Why not let the Dukes be the Dukes? In the Big Screen movie of the Dukes-of-Hazzard why not cast John and Tom as the Dukes and Daisy(Catherine Bach ) rather than all these pop stars? If the original cast were too old or ugly or both fine, but there will never be anyone that can be the Duke boys better than the original Duke boys. This probably has been talked about a lot on other threads, but the following I believe should be on a Duke's Movie or even a new Duke's series: Uncle Jesse: Charlie Daniels instead of Willie Nelson Boss Hogg: Danny Devito Daisy Duke: Still looking but the young lady on the Beginning Movie has promise. The Balladeer: Shooter Jennings Not sure on the others as of yet, but Charlie Daniels would be great. He could even do a reunion movie with the original cast as one of Jesse's brothers. While its a sure bet that sweet Daisy had the set of limbs all men would love to cuddle, still there were others on the TV show that as sweet a set of legs as Daisy. Huey Hogg' nurse on one episode had a great set, several on episodes did, how many pairs of nylon hose were worn to creat the illusion of perfect legs. Will the babe on the Big screen movie wear nylon hose to trick out her legs, face it niether Miss Spears or Simpson have perfect legs. Maybe there should be a casting call for the perfect legs, from Hazzard County?
