Dukes of Hazzard Movies

Watching the NASCAR Cup race form Chicagoland.....The movie was a sponsor of the race with commercials , all with the rating of PG-13... I figured the movie was going to get a PG-13 because of who is in it and some more adult content. There is one scen on the commercial where they the General "flying" onto the highway and a police officer starts to say "Holy S---" before they switch to another scene......... Later Darrell

I have just been looking at who the crew are on the Dukes movie and I see that they have used 3 diferent lots of people to write and touch up the script.. I see John Obrian is the same guy the makers of Staskey and Hutch got in to touch up the script for that movie. I just wonder why they needed to get so many diferent people in to write the script and why they did not ask one for the script writers from the tv show to help write the script? Also I wonder how diferent to script writen by Jonathan Davis is the the Brocken Lizard one?

First let me say this is the best site I've found for info about the movie. I'm the part owner of the garage that is being used for Cooter's. The filming started on the afternoon of November 18 and ran until about midnite. It continued after lunch the next day and ran until about 2:30 am. They did not complete all the scenes and must return at a later (to be determined) date. I can let everyone know that David Koechner (Anchorman, My Boss's Daughter) is playing the part of Cooter. So uh..about 15 minutes ago my wife and I are watching tv and in a span of about 60 seconds we came across the the trailer for the new movie on 3 different channels. About midway through the second running of the trailer she blurts out "Boobs and undercarriage boobs and undercarriage, thats all I see!" I couldnt help but laugh at my wife's outburst.. It is important that th original cast appear to show those who arn't farmiliar with the show who the REAL Dukes are. Some say the new cast is a joke. Jessica Simpson can brag to the magisines all she wants about winning the role of daisy but as far as i am concerned she is just a dumb ditsy blonde who won the part due to her good looks and popularity. Have any of you ever stopped to consider the security issues involved when you have celebrities in an area? Think about the rock n roller who was shot dead by a nut case just two days ago! Last night I attended the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie premiere in Hollywood and had a fantastic time. It took all day to get there, actually all day and half the day before and half of today...long story! Quick review: Amazing car work in the movie. The language is not always great, but the fun is there as is the BO/Luke relationship. While its a sure bet that sweet Daisy had the set of limbs all men would love to cuddle, still there were others on the TV show that as sweet a set of legs as Daisy. Huey Hogg' nurse on one episode had a great set, several on episodes did, how many pairs of nylon hose were worn to creat the illusion of perfect legs. Will the babe on the Big screen movie wear nylon hose to trick out her legs, face it niether Miss Spears or Simpson have perfect legs. Maybe there should be a casting call for the perfect legs, from Hazzard County?

Here is another upset and sad review about the Dukes movie… I don’t think I’ve heard a good review yet, unless it showcases how “beautiful†Jessica Simpson is in her Diasy Dukes outfit. I just have to say I thought the movie was great! I saw the first showing in my town on Friday, and I really had a blast. The theater was half full, which I thought was awesome for being so early in the afternoon. I separated the movie from the series going into it, which is probably one of the reasons I was able to enjoy it. I accepted it on its own merits, because you can't really compare it to the show, although there are certainly elements throughout the film that capture the spirit of the show. Being new to this board, I'm not sure how much of my opinion I should put forth, but . . . it seems to me like this movie is just another attempt to cash in on 80's nostalgia. I'm a bit of a purist though, and it seems to me like the producers and creators of The Dukes would endear themselves to us more if they made another original tv movie. It would probably go over better than a big screen version with actors we've never heard of or heard of in passing. I was watching the tv guide channel, yesterday. They had a behind the scene look at the movie, this is the info I got. 1), willie is singing the theme, and skynyrds, call me the breeze 2), him and jessica simpson are doing a duet, for the soundtrack 3), the movie is coming out in august. Since it is on cable, this is basically confirming alot of the rumors.
