Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Just seen a new Dukes of Hazzard complete series set @ my local Walmart for $59.99, looks like it would take up less than half the shelf space of the old season sets. This is an official WB release not a lower definition Mill Creek release like a lot of other 80's tv complete sets are.

Those '05 and '07 didn't get a very well reception among a majority of the fans of REAL Dukes. Doesn't matter who's casted or if it follows the same morals and values. If it is NOT Tom W John S Cathy B etc etc it will NOT be accepted. Look at the hate on Coy and Vance.

I'm watching season 5 now and was wondering what car Coy and Vance were driving when they got to Hazzard. It was dark blue with a white stripe down the middle.

hey guys, just wondering if yall ever noticed that john Schneider ran funny like something was wrong with his leg. he was very slow compared to tom and the episode about his new boots focused on it and once bo was sitting on a keg and said his leg fell asleep when he limped. it didn't fit with any story of the episode. there is a few more things I cant think of now.

Hi, I've been a Dukes fan since about age 8, and built a General Lee in 05 but sold it in 07 to start my next project. I'm going to be going to LA soon and want to do some Dukes investigating. I've been looking at filming locations and read the awesome 22 page thread by Hoss for some of the locations. I`ve only seen the first season of the DOH and the 2nd and the 3rd season are on the way, but i want to ask whether there was an episode where 3 or more cars were after the general, just like smokey and the bandit, instead of just Enos/Cletus and Roscoe. I love the fist fights in the boars nest, but in season 1, there were only two fights, does the number increase in the upcoming seasons ? GREAT SHOW

I don't know if this has been brought up before but I think I have the reason as to why the Dukes were pulled from television. With the change of all digital TV coming on FEB 09 ,Blue-ray and HD dvd players along with plasma or lcd High def tv's ....the Dukes look "dirty" on Tv. If you take a look at tv land and shows like I love Lucy and M*a*s*h* along with movies on TCM or AMC have all been cleaned up and digitaly remasterd in high def....somthing DOH lacks Even the 70+ year old Three Stooges Movies are getting put out on dvd in high-def now. I think if the Dukes want to make it back on the tube then WB is gonna have to step up and get to work on a restoration project f…

which you like best picture on opening on any season? because I notice after 6th or 7th little different from first or second season because 5 and 4th season with cletus, so which you like best? I like first season and 3th season when little add from general lee jump and daisy's what about you guys which like? post here thanks.

Looking at the Opening Titles for the First and Second Seasons, am I right in thinking that there are some unused film shots used? I'm thinking particularly of the following shots.... 1. Close-up of Ben Jones smiling and pushing his cap up. 2. Close-up of Denver Pyle pointing his finger. 3. Close-up of John Schneider before the General Lee jumps over the mound of dirt. Can anyone help me here?

Y'all... I spotted Fred and Lamont Sanford's truck of Sanford and Son in The Dukes of Hazzard Season 3 Uncle Boss(filmed in Season 2 aired in Season 3.) The truck can be seen in Hazzard Square when Rosco starts chasing Luke & Cooter when he thinks they're running moonshine, after he saw them load the trunk with the boxes, after Uncle Jesse's disguised voice phone call tip off to him. In the clip, the truck can be seen at 0:03.

Dukes of Hazzard fans... I discovered something now I have to check the series for this. The 2 versions of Racing For Home PS and PC and PS Daisy Dukes It Out you see the bottom of the Waylon beard. After the 1st couple of guitar plucks. During the first couple plucks of the guitar his head nods down and the bottom of beard is seen. Now I have to look for that in the show cuz I never noticed. Since it's the same footage in the game, it's probably there in the series too?

It's not Rick Hurst's Deputy Cletus Hogg from the TV series voice in The Dukes of Hazzard Return of the General Lee PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Decided to take a last minute 6hr drive down to Pottsville for the first time to meet Catherine Bach, Tom Wopat, Jeff Altman, and Miss Alma was amazing meeting the cast. It was from 12-5. We waited in Catherine’s line from 12 until just after 1. She was so nice to talk with and will have a conversation with you despite the hour long line to meet her. She joked around with us and has a great sense of humour. Will definitely go back to meet her again. Tom gave out autographed CDs and was very funny as well when he was trying to put on 80s hits on his phone. His line was only 10 minutes thankfully as I couldn’t do another hour in line. Has anyone had any problems with the Season 4 DVD? Just got a Region 2 DVD set from play.com and I found that Disc 4 would not play on either side from about 36 minutes in. I sent that back and the replacement arrived today. It's got exactly the same problem on Disc 4. It either skips and pauses from 36 minutes onward or won't start to play any of the later episodes. Have I just been really unlucky to get two faulty DVD sets or is there known to have been problems with that particular DVD?
