Dukes of Hazzard General Discussion

Working on the Dixie Jeep as my next model creation. Can't figure out the floor....thought it would be white (body metal/painted) with black rubber mats in front of the front seats....but now folks on a non-Dukes auto modelmaking board are suggesting the 79 Jeep CJ7 had brown (only brown) carpeting as standard, and that some of the photos I posted suggest it. Anyone have any idea? Any better views than what I have? If carpeted, would the rear have been covered too, including the tops of the rear wheel wells?

Y'all... I think that version in the 2005 movie with no flag and no name on it, it rolled the General Lee and the black Charger into one. Being orange with that O1 on it, it symbolized GL and opening doors symbolizing the black car in Happy Birthday General Lee. What do y'all think?

I notice this because of "Comrade Duke", "Witness: Jesse Duke", and "Welcome Back, Bo 'n' Luke". They seem more serious than other episodes of the show.

Angela Lansbury has died just 5 days before her 97th birthday. She passed away in her sleep at her LA home. Born in London in 1925, when she wasn't in LA, she spent a good bit of time at her home in Co. Cork here in Ireland. I'm sure we all remember her as Jessica Fletcher in 'Murder She Wrote'. Here she is entering the former Duke Farm at Valencia Oaks in the 1988 episode 'Coal Miner's Slaughter', an episode which also featured Denver Pyle and Celebrity Speed Trap victim Hoyt Axton. The rest of my pictures are in the Valencia Oaks Movie Ranch thread. For another Dukes tie-in, from 1976 to 1981, Cathy Bach was married to Angela's stepson David Shaw.

Hi, everyone. It's approximately 1:33 am and I'm practically at my wit's end. I have been searching cyberspace far and wide for a Dukes of Hazzard TV show screen saver for my trusty, deserving, reliable Mac OS X , and all I find are horrible pictures of Sean William Scott, Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson. Does anyone know where a new girl in Hazzardnet.com can find a decent screensaver of the TV show for her Mac?

Why is it that Roscoe was replaced from time to time? I don't think they ever gave an explanation as to why in the show and I haven't been able to find anything online that gives a good solid answer. Also wondering if there's a list anywhere about the 'guest sheriffs' that subbed for Roscoe. Didn't both Jackie Gleason and the Louisiana Sheriff from the 70's James Bond movies come thru?

Hey all, long time no see :-) Here's something that I noticed a long time ago, and it's been bugging me ever since but I never asked around : In "Repo Men" (Georgia episode) there are some interior scenes at the Duke farm, that clearly show the "california kitchen". I haven't found any previous posts about this. Does any know if this was a set they built in Georgia? If so, it would seem strange they didn't make it look like the "real" Georgia farm kitchen. Or were they already shooting in California when they were filming Repo Men? Or did they re-shoot these scenes later on?

l know there was an episode where a group of senior citizens were angry at Boss. One of them left his detonator at the farm and Bo and Luke thought it belonged to Uncle Jesse. l have all 7 seasons on DVD and want to watch it but don't know what the episode is called. Haven't seen that one in about 5 years.

Wondering if anyone knows what happened to this car? I saw it at Grand Bend Mopar Weekend back in 1998, we were walking back to our campsite after the days show had ended and it had just pulled in and was registering (yes he drove it there). The guy said he bought it off an ad that was in the back of hot rod magazine, and used the money they had saved up to put down on a house for it - and the wife left lol. It was not a show car by any means, pretty rough around the edges. Anyone now what happened to it or where it is now?

Am I wrong , or was there a particular movie that the DOH tv series was based on? I was only 9-10 at the time, but i swear that I remember hearing that. I even remember seeing parts of a movie that it was said that the show was based on. It was a serious movie. Not a comedy. Can anyone help? cd

Did y'all know Coy and Vance dolls were made from Bo and Luke using replacement heads? The cards remained labeled Bo n Luke.

Is there a story behind this? I have always guessed that maybe they decided that the car was redundant, being basically the same thing as the General Lee, the only real difference being the body panels. I have also thought that maybe they decided that having off-road capability (4WD Jeep) in the family's car stable could be beneficial to future storylines. Another thing about that car; at what point did the idea that the car belonged to Daisy come into being? Didn't those two old timers have a history of going a long way back of knowing each other? All's I remember that Jesse somehow got even with the Boss when Hogg was about to win money over a race or something and Jesse just announced on the loud speaker that Boss was going to donate the money to charity or something. To protect his good name, Boss reluctantly gave in, but they celebrated with hot dogs and other snacks. Which episode was this?

Why haven't they released it on DVD? I know there's not as big of a demand for it as other older cartoons like the Smurf's but still?

Greetings from Hazzard Tn. Well, my biggest predicition for the show has come true. I anticipated that the first four seasons would make it to DVD in boxsets. Now I'm wondering about the remaining years of the show and I was wondering about your thoughts as to what you imagine will happen. I'm going to jump ahead and cover the 6th and 7th seasons of the show first. I could imagine a 50/50 chance of seeing the last 2 seasons on DVD. The only drawback is that those two seasons were relatively weak in comparison to the first four. Even though both seasons produced to some unforgettable episodes, there also some sucky ones too.
