So I was just watching 'Double Dukes' with the commentary from Tom, John and Cathy. They had a whole discussion about the bad-dudes-of-the-week Turk & Moody. Now I have watched this commentary probably a half a dozen times, and I just finally caught a little somethin funny that John & Tom said about these two. John asked: "Why didn't these guys play Coy & Vance?" and then Tom replied: "They're too talented." I laughed soooo hard! It's true tho! I totally agree with Tom!

The wife and I were watching a Christmas movie and saw a girl who reminded me of someone who was on just one Dukes episode. I can picture her face really well but am trying to find out who she was. The only line of hers I can remember is an altered version of "Necessity is the mother of invention". She changed invention to "intervention". She was brunette and pretty and around Daisy's age. Any ideas?

Hi! Just registered, so go easy on me if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if an actress called Holly Wagner was in the Dukes? She's now an author/pastor, and may have appeared before she became "Wagner". A friend of mine who kind of knows her through his Church swears this lady was in the Dukes, but I can't find any leads! Even googling her doesn't shed any light! Any help would be much appreciated! Steve

Hey y'all I was watching Luke's Love Story earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Hazzard County Derby meant to be every year? Anyway that got me thinking. Amy Creevy leaves the trophy with Luke,saying she will come back next year and win it fair and square. That scene had me practically yelling to the writers in my head (must have been caused by the paint fumes from the Rosco bike) about how they missed out on a really good opportunity to bring back two (in my mind) interesting characters that could have been expanded. I was watching the episode Jude Emery the other night on CMT, and I was wondering about this. First, who is Sherriff Grady? Second, how did they explain Rosco's absense? In Arrest Jesse Duke, they explained it as being Rosco in a police course in Atlanta.

Alright, so I'm writing a story, and a plan on using a pivotal member of the Hazzard community for a scene, the good reverend... but... I cannot remember his name or age! Help! I am fairly certain the good reverend appeared in the episode where there was a mixup with the little black books, where Daisy was in a church play as a nurse. Someone, please assist me!

Hey, I just discovered something. I am reading Ben Jones' book "Redneck Boy in the Promised Land" On pages 33 and 65, Ben mentions a mechanic named Stump Rountree that Ben and his uncle worked for (imagine that, Ben working for a mechanic) Anyway, Stump was also a citizen of Hazzard County even though he was only mentioned by name and never actually appeared on the show. Stump was mentioned in the episode "The Canterbury Crock" from season 3.

Sad news… Actor Dennis Burkley has passed away. He played Bubba in episode "Find Loretta Lynn" and Mickey Larsen in "Strange Visitor To Hazzard". He was also seen in several great 70's and 80's shows like Rockford Files, Greatest American Hero, The Fall Guy, and Knight Rider.

I was watching Road Pirates today. I thought the first truck driver who Daisy stopped with her legs looked familiar. He was the strong looking guy who laid down beside her and crawled under her car to secure the muffler. They showed his name in the credits and it is Salt Walther. He lived from 1947 to 2012 and drove different classes of race cars. In 1973 he was involved in a horrific crash at the Indianapolis 500. I watched it on You Tube. It was nasty....so nasty in fact that it changed rules that made the Indy 500 more safe. My memory isn't that great but it seems like maybe we've talked about him before here on the HN. My wife is a huge General Hospital fan. Today they were showing scenes from an upcoming episode and I saw a lady who looked familiar and my wife said "Oh, they're bringing her back!?" She told me that I knew she used to be on General Hospital because we talked about it before. My memory's not so good so I had to ask more details. She said that she used to be on the Dukes. *LIGHT BULB OVER MY HEAD* The lady in question is Diane Benson from Carnival of Thrills.

You all know who I'm talking about. The guy who was trying to get married but the Dukes kept taking him back to Hazzard so he could either stamp that document or place his vote. I just watched that episode the other night.

You know, of all the extra relatives they put into the Dukes, Jeb Staurt has always been my favourite!! He wasn't a replacement, he wasn't a direct relation like Jud, but he by far was the one that acted most like them!! He just seemed to work with John and Tom nicely as Bo and Luke and had a bit of both boy's personalities in him! Anyone else got any thoughts on the one and only Jeb Stuart Duke?

I see that the moderators have posted an announcement that Neva Patterson has passed on to Hazzard Heaven. Although she was only in one episode she made a big impact with me because I love that episode so much. I wish she would have appeared on more than "Swamp Molly". This news is extra difficult considering we just lost another resident of Hazzard County, the beautiful Peggy Rea. I take these losses tough since I love the show so much. It's nice to be part of the HazzardNet since I take comfort in knowing other folks here, feel like the actors on the show, are like family and miss them when they pass on.
