Okay, y'all I got a question. Did Doc Appleby have a first name that we know of? I ask becase I mention it in a story I've been posting and I've had him in other stories before but even I can't remember if I ever used a first name for him! LOL I can't remember for sure one being used on the show so I thought I'd toss the question out there to all y'all in the know! There is a name that comes to mind but...I wanna see what y'all think first. Thanks!

I see that the moderators have posted an announcement that Neva Patterson has passed on to Hazzard Heaven. Although she was only in one episode she made a big impact with me because I love that episode so much. I wish she would have appeared on more than "Swamp Molly". This news is extra difficult considering we just lost another resident of Hazzard County, the beautiful Peggy Rea. I take these losses tough since I love the show so much. Alright, so I'm writing a story, and a plan on using a pivotal member of the Hazzard community for a scene, the good reverend... but... I cannot remember his name or age! Help! I am fairly certain the good reverend appeared in the episode where there was a mixup with the little black books, where Daisy was in a church play as a nurse. Someone, please assist me!

My wife is a huge General Hospital fan. Today they were showing scenes from an upcoming episode and I saw a lady who looked familiar and my wife said "Oh, they're bringing her back!?" She told me that I knew she used to be on General Hospital because we talked about it before. My memory's not so good so I had to ask more details. She said that she used to be on the Dukes. *LIGHT BULB OVER MY HEAD* The lady in question is Diane Benson from Carnival of Thrills.

Hey y'all I was watching Luke's Love Story earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Hazzard County Derby meant to be every year? Anyway that got me thinking. Amy Creevy leaves the trophy with Luke,saying she will come back next year and win it fair and square. That scene had me practically yelling to the writers in my head (must have been caused by the paint fumes from the Rosco bike) about how they missed out on a really good opportunity to bring back two (in my mind) interesting characters that could have been expanded. Well, just got through watchin this episode and wondered if anyone else liked it as much as I did... seems to me that poor old Luke meet a new friend in it....Patch....poor Luke Patch picked on him too much.

I was thinking about this the other day, watching one of the episodes... and to be honest, I wasn't paying attention to which season it was from. But when I was a kid, I used to watch Saved By The Bell. For those of us who have seen or remember the show, you'll note that the actor who played the principal of the school, Dennis Haskins, was also an actor on the Dukes of Hazzard. He played one of the bad guys in one, or a few episodes.. I can't recall if he only appeared once or multiple times. So I was just watching 'Double Dukes' with the commentary from Tom, John and Cathy. They had a whole discussion about the bad-dudes-of-the-week Turk & Moody. Now I have watched this commentary probably a half a dozen times, and I just finally caught a little somethin funny that John & Tom said about these two. John asked: "Why didn't these guys play Coy & Vance?" and then Tom replied: "They're too talented." I laughed soooo hard! It's true tho! I totally agree with Tom!

I'm wishing there would have been more eps with Sheriff Little, and that we would have got to see some bad-natured rivalry between the Sheriffs of Chickasaw and Hazzard County. I enjoyed Sheriff Little because he had it in for everybody, equally. He had no use for the Dukes, and he couldn't stand Rosco, and he didn't like ol' Boss Hogg. One gets the impression that Sheriff Little didn't like Hazzard County as a whole - or, he was somewhat jealous of it's freewheeling antics. Chickasaw County always seemed like it wasn't any fun. You know, of all the extra relatives they put into the Dukes, Jeb Staurt has always been my favourite!! He wasn't a replacement, he wasn't a direct relation like Jud, but he by far was the one that acted most like them!! He just seemed to work with John and Tom nicely as Bo and Luke and had a bit of both boy's personalities in him! Anyone else got any thoughts on the one and only Jeb Stuart Duke?

Ok in the reunion it was said that Buzz and the double 0 were the only one to ever beat the General Lee in an overland race. My question is what was Buzz's last name or did they get it? I haven't watched the reunion in a couple of years and my VCR is down. Help?? Of course we know that the only car to beat the General Lee in the show was Amy's #13 Lucifer! but I'm not sure is they called it an over land race so this may be the difference! Dixie

Hey, I just discovered something. I am reading Ben Jones' book "Redneck Boy in the Promised Land" On pages 33 and 65, Ben mentions a mechanic named Stump Rountree that Ben and his uncle worked for (imagine that, Ben working for a mechanic) Anyway, Stump was also a citizen of Hazzard County even though he was only mentioned by name and never actually appeared on the show. Stump was mentioned in the episode "The Canterbury Crock" from season 3.

Did you ever notice that Freddy The Ferret in "Hazzard In Hollywood" reminds you a little of Hughie Hogg but a little Nicer thow. But gotta love his Mustang Convertible as well, and why Daisy has a Yahama instead of Harley-Davidson Motorcycle as well.

Has anyone ever run into online, or offline a 'background extra' from The Dukes of Hazzard TV Series?.... I mean, If I had played a background extra on even one single episode you can damn sure bet I would be telling people about it all these years later. Of course, some of those ppl were background extras on alot of other shows prolly you can imagine possibly. So maybe it was not really a big big deal to them just another job. But... surely somebody somewhere has to boast about being a background extra on the show from time to time...... ?
