Bo swallowed, it killing him to hear Luke like this.

"I know Luke...but you gotta hear this..you have to...and Lori cant get outta her bed.."

"You want me to go?" he asked the shirt still tight in his arms.

"I'll come with ya Luke, your not going alone...I want you to come down to Lori's room with me an' listen to her..."

Luke looked at him trustingly. "If you want me to go...I will." He knew Bo would never let Lori hurt him.

Bo nodded and gently helped him up.

"Can I have my shirt back?"

Luke looked at him his lips trembling a bit not wanting to give it back.

Bo sighed and nodded.

"Alright never mind...."

He put his arm around Luke's shoulders and started to lead him out, glancing back at Daisy in a 'I'm gonna need to cry soon' expression.

Daisy looked back at him and tapped her shoulder letting him know without words that she had it if he needed it.

Still clinging to the shirt and leaning into Bo as they walked.

Bo sighed and lead Luke gently into Lori's room, treating him a little like a child

"There we go...here you sit down here Luke...right there..."

Luke nodded and obediently sat where Bo pointed hugging his shirt to him.

As Lori saw the hurt and the pain in Luke's eyes, seeing it she almost cried herself but retained and looked to Luke and softly spoke with the gentlist of words,"Luke, if you want to know the truth I'll tell ya, and i quote her when I say this....

"I want to be with him Lori...he's...he...he means more to me than you'll ever understand..."

"He is someone special to me Lori...I love him...I always have done...he's a part of me, as much as my own heart is a part of me...that night we met in the Marines, something just clicked between us and...ever since a part of me has been begging to feel his arms around me again...to feel his lips carress mine..."

Lori looked at Luke and then to Bo,"Thats what she said and she meant it too."

Bo bit his bottom lip gently and looked to Luke.

Luke looked at Bo, unable to address Lori, not trusting anyone but Bo still. "How can she hate me one minute...and love me the next?"

Bo sighed

"That's what i've been trying to tell you Luke...it doesn't make any sense...but think about it...think about how much evidence you got that she hates you - next to nothing - and how much you got that says she loves ya..."

Luke swallowed and looked down at the shirt still in his hands. He didn't know what to think, not wanting to take a chance of letting down the walls again, hurting far too much as it was.

Bo sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Luke...now the way I see it Candyt left the hospital about an hour ago..I'll bet ya she's gone packin'...now instead of thinkin' with yer head an' how much you could get hurt again...think with your heart...if Candy leaves Hazzard there is a good chance you will never see her again...do you really want that..."

"No..." uttered Luke quietly.

Bo stood up, taking Luke by the shoulders gently.

"Then don't let it..."

Luke looked at Bo fear in his eyes. "I don't..." he began, swallowing as he realized he still had Bo's shirt in his hand and handed it to him.

Bo didn't take it back, keeping his hands on Luke's shoulders and squeezing softly.

"Someone I trust dearly once told me that there are things in life we's all afraid to do...but if you live with those fears you'll never have any fun...if you let them take you over you'll never be happy...you'll always wish there was something you could have done but couldn't because of your fear...."

Luke looked at Bo. "What idioit said that?"

Bo swallowed.

"You did..."

Luke sighed heavily, having a feeling he knew who the idiot was and not at all surprised when Bo told him who. "I was afraid of that..."

Bo looked away a little, trying to find his own grip on his emotions to stop himself bursting into tears.

"Will...will you come with me?" asked Luke looking at Bo.
