  1. The maps for Valencia could be very helpful,as it has become overgrown in the years since the Wayne Wooten deal. I don't know if you've been following my Valencia thread, but a tree fell down and blocked the road at the Boars Nest, and as a result the southern road and it's tributaries have practically disappeared. Have you tried to find Sorrell Booke's grave? I'm not sure exactly were he is buried but I think it's in Sherman Oaks.
  2. Awesome Brian now I'll have HNet wherever I go Thanks so much to Brian,Mufn, and MaryAnne
  3. That's one sweet bike Alex My birthdays coming up soon. I wonder if my parents would get me this... Hahaha
  4. Hoss I think you're right. Although it's difficult to tell with the two different angles,I think the Jesse is standing roughly where the Ford is in the last picture. It never ceases to amaze me how one area can be made to look like a couple of different locations, with just a few different camera angles.
  5. Seen as I've already got a General Lee and Rosco bike, maybe you could do a Dixie bike!!
  6. Considering that I'm rarely without my iPod or some form of music player I sing practically anything I listen to. But some songs that I find myself frequently singing are -Hurt by Johnny Cash -I Could Love a Man Like That by Anita Cochran -Freebird,Was I Right or Wrong and Ballad of Curtis Loew by Lynyrd Skynyrd -Good Ol Boys by the legend Waylon Jennings -How Do You Like Me Now by Toby Keith -Brown Sugar and Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones -Paradise City,Knocking on Heavens Door and Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses Thats just a small taste of what I find myself singing. Don't criticize my music taste. It's what I like.
  7. Maybe this picture might show the damage a little better... Once again thanks a million Hoss for providing the decals HazzardNet would be lost without you!!
  8. Firstly apolgies for the poor quality. I had to take these on my phone. Secondly the pushbar is nowhere near finished yet. It still has to be sanded, primered, painted and mounted. This is a side view showing how it fit together. Because I didn't have access to a welder I just used whatever bolts I had in my garage. And finally a side view of the whole pushbar The bike in the left background isn't the General Lee,it's my brothers jump bike. And speaking of jump bikes..... That's me and what was left of the 2nd unit Rosco replica. It was built for the final scene in a short video I'm making with my friends featuring the General Lee,Rosco and moonshine... I won't say what happens in the video but as you can see a drop in the background of the picture I think you can probably tell what ends up happening...
  9. I started on the pushbar today with some scrap bike I had lying around in my back yard. Unfortunately the General is in a workshop until Friday,so I'll have to wait until then to mount it. So far I've got it all drilled and bolted together (I couldn't find anyone with a welder willing to do such a small job) and I've put body filler in the gaps and holes. I'll try and upload pictures later when my camera charges up.
  10. Don't know if anyone on here knows yet,but Whitney Houston passed away yesterday She was found unresponsive in her Beverly Hills hotel room, and despite 20 minutes of resuscitation she was pronounced dead. Police say there's no sign of foul play, and the coroner has yet to perform an autopsy. R.I.P Whitney, you will never be forgotten.

Hey y'all As some of y'all know I'm Irish. I don't go around promoting the Irish stereotype (drunk, religious, lives off potatoes and ginger) but at the same time I'm proud to be Irish!! In Dublin we get a lot of tourists, mostly American and English. I was in town earlier and saw a young American couple looking a little lost,so being nice I went over and asked if I could help. I think it was fair to say that they had a drink or two at this point, because they asked me if I knew any of the "Father Ted" cast,an then asked if I could give them the recipe to Guinness. I told them that Ireland wasn't as small as they thought, and only the people that work in guinness know the recipe. I just remembered it as I logged onto HNet, and thought I'd share it with you. Do any of y'all have any stereotypical stories to share?
  13. Oh god it does look pretty bad... Thanks anyway Hoss
  14. Hey Hoss, did you know that the General Lee was originally meant to have the confederate flag on the hood? I wonder what that wound look like? *hint hint wink wink*
  15. The California Boars Nest were just sets, they weren't pre existing buildings. Depending on how you want to look at it there were atleast 4 Cali Boars Nests. Each time WB moved ranch, everything came with them, and since they moved ranch 3 times there were 3 exterior Boars Nests. When the show finished the Boars Nest stayed standing until the early 90's. The reason it stayed standing for so long is because WB owned the land. There was atleast 2 soundstage Boars Nests. One with the bar on the left and one with the bar on the right. There was also a frontal facade built in a soundstage as well, but that could have been part of the existing set. Hope I helped
  16. Here's a photoshop tribute that Hoss did For anyone that isn't familiar with the people on the bottom, they are the Hazzard County Stunt Crew. R.I.P Al,you will be missed :'(
  17. Hey y'all. I guess by now most of you know about Al Wyatt Junior's untimely death. I was recently thinking of Peggy Rea and her first anniversary, and I realised that the Christmas and early spring season is rather a sad time for Dukes fans. The first Duke member to pass away was Sorrell Booke. He passed away on February 11th in 1994 after aong battle with colon cancer. Denver Pyle passed away on Christmas Day in 1997,after a long battle with lung cancer. Waylon Jennings, the beloved balladere (misspelt?) died due to complications of diabetes on February 13th in 2002. Sweet little Nedra Volz died on January 20th 2003. To date she was and is the oldest Duke member, passing away at the amazing age of 94. Peggy Rea,who was loved by everybody passed away on February 5th 2011,from motor neuron disease (i thought it was congestive heart failure). Paul Baxley, who helped make the Dukes what it is today passed away on March 4th 2011. His death, just a month after Peggy's,brought Duke fans closer together. Now Al Wyatt, who doubled John in the early seasons, and also played various background roles (usually resulting with a pie in the face), and was behind the wheel of most of the cars that came through the Hazzard County Stunt Team and not to mention the famous Grannie Annie train jump. Although its not a Dukes member, the final episode of the Dukes,Opening Night At The Boars Nest, first aired on February 8th 1985. Such a sad time for Dukes fans :'(
  18. This is so shocking!!He was only 60. Yet in those brief 60 years he managed to help get Dukes and many other movies, commercials and tv shows on the map. One of my personal favourite stunts of Allan's was the Grannie Annie train jump in the General Lee. A little known fact about Allan is that he always wore flip flops whilst doing car stunts. R.I.P Allan, you will never be forgotten.
  19. The pannier The Sheriffs patch and a Harley patch I picked up over the summer Where the patches will eventually end up
  20. More That's the gadget that controls the horn. Let's just say you don't want to press it indoors when you've got a really bad headache... Obviously I had to buy handcuffs, now all I need is a pearl handle... Whilst browsing for a patch I found this Plymouth Fury keyfob
  21. Hey y'all!! Today I got the lights/siren combo. I got a pannier bag and sheriff patch last week, but didn't get a chance to take pictures of them. Heres a few of the lights and siren controls
  22. This shot shows us Hazzard Pond on the left, and the familiar stretch of road where Rosco usually has a speed trap. Usually when a car would spin out into the lake it would come from the stretch of road seen in this shot This shot was taken further down the road. Daisy and the General are parked just down from the lake,in an area that was usually used when the boys are running from someone,or going overland to evade Rosco These pictures were taken from Happy Birthday General Lee. The first one is when the boys first get the charger and are driving back from Capitol City. In reality they are coming out of the road that seperates the lake from the sawmill This one is from when the boys are trying to escape from the gold thieves for the first time. In this shot the camera was roughly where the tow truck is in the above picture. See that brush to the left of the General Lee? That's where Daisy and the General Lee hid out in the second picture
  23. Moving onto numbers 3 and 4 in this post, namely the Hazzard Pond and the sawmill/barn. This first picture was taken during Undercover Dukes and was taken from the east end of the west end of the lake. Can you see those telephone poles in the distance? They're located on the Duke farm. Here's a shot taken from A Baby For The Dukes. You can see one of the telephone poles in question quite clearly here. See that lighter shade of green tree in the left background? That tree is located at the little intersection used in countless episodes such a this shot This is a shot of the aforementioned road, taken from Happy Birthday General Lee. In this shot the camera is positioned at the intersection
  24. Knight Rider and Dukes seemed to share quite a few locations. I found a clip of the episode where Valencia ranch is used an it looks like Universal also used the roads around Lake Sherwood. If anyone wants to bust or confirm this theory I'm referring to the end chase scene when KITT is in super pursuit mode and turns into a long driveway. I think it was used at the start of the Dukes episode "Limo 1" in season 1 I also seem to remember that road being used in season 2 of the Dukes (I can't remember the episode unfortunately) when Enos pulls alongside Rosco and gives him a search warrant. I may be mixing up episodes but I think Rosco then sideswipes Daisy's Satellite. Does that episode ring a bell with anyone?
