  1. Welcome to HazzardNet Rosco,y'all may notice we do things a little different here nice links btw
  2. The show MythBusters tested whether you could jump a gorge and drive away in their Mega Movie Myth Special. Although it was based on the 2005 movie it's still in a small way relivent to the series. There's a couple of videos of that myth floating around on YouTube, just look up "mythbusters car jump" or "MythBusters Dukes if Hazzard"
  3. Its more of a show bike than a daily rider, although if I'm in a hurry to get somewhere I'll take it
  4. Popular again?? The Dukes has always been popular, afterall there's been 145 fantastic episodes,2 amazing reunion movies, and two erm..... Anyway there's also been countless toys and the bikemaker DK produce a stunt bike under the name General Lee. Family Guy made an episode roughly around Dukes,Knight Rider tried (and failed) to make a funny reference to the Dukes. The Dukes are popular enough to have spawned various fan websites which younger fans like us have joined, and caused fans to recreate their own versions of the General Lee and other Dukes vehicles. So is the Dukes getting popular again? In my opinion I think it's always been popular
  5. Hey y'all I was watching Luke's Love Story earlier. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Hazzard County Derby meant to be every year? Anyway that got me thinking. Amy Creevy leaves the trophy with Luke, saying she will come back next year and win it fair and square. That scene had me practically yelling to the writers in my head (must have been caused by the paint fumes from the Rosco bike) about how they missed out on a really good opportunity to bring back two (in my mind) interesting characters that could have been expanded. Another example of this is all the various widows, neighbors and townfolk that had an episode based on them (Grannie Annie,The Canterbury Crock,The Rustlers,Mary Kaye's Baby). Looking back now,the only reoccurring characters that spring to mind (besides Miz Tisdale) are the Beaudries and Emery Potter. So my question to you is this. Who would you like to have seen return to Hazzard for another episode?
  6. Hi Alex-Duke I was browsing the web earlier looking at pictures of General Lee bikes and found one you might like. It even comes with someone wearing Daisy Dukes!! CDoherty
  7. Whilst building my Rosco bike http://www.hazzardnet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8454 I tinkered with my General a little bit and ordered some of the Rosco decals for the General My original General Lee that was stolen by a couple of...oh wait this is a family friendly site so I won't say what I was gonna say,I'll leave that up y'alls imagination
  8. Sorry for clogging up this thread with dozens of pictures, but I promise I'm done now. I just want to say a MASSIVE thanks to HossC,who supplied me with the decal template. Hoss if it wasn't for your amazing artistic skills this project wouldn't have happened. And just one more pic...
  9. I picked this horn up today when I was out getting a birthday card for my friend Rear light
  10. New handlebars before adding any accessories Duel rear brake, one standard and one designed to lock up the rear wheel
  11. Ruby's sneaking a snooze after a days hard work haha
  12. Ruby sniffing the rear rack...probably for food Mounting the rear rack
  13. Sorry I've been so slow uploading progress pics, but I've finally got my photobucket sorted out Decals made by HossC
  14. Hey y'all I finished the painting today, and managed to get the decals on and even found time to fit the wheels and chain. I've yet to order any accessories off amazon, but I had a voucher for my local bike store so i bought a rear rack there today. Ill try and post pictures tomorrow
  15. Amazing work Hoss, did you intend it to look like a dk bmx? When I was building the second General over the summer I considered hand stitching the confederate flag onto the saddle, but it would have been to hard and time consuming. With all the trouble that the Rosco bike is giving me I doubt I'll be doing any changes to the General
  16. It never seizes to amaze me how stupid some people can be. The only original parts on this car are the firewall and windshield. Travis Bell cheated Marvin Murphy, and is only out to make money. I haven't bothered to buy any of his DVDs,mainly because I don't want to give a cent to that cheat, but also because knowing his history I'm unlikely to get whatever I ordered. He should be exposed for the lying cheat he is.He ruined Lee 1,scamed innocent Dukes fans, and told the Cliff Shaw that his dad was the stuntman that jumped Lee 1 and was dying in hospital.
  17. The first episode I remember seeing was Comrade Duke. I was 4 at the time and it was cancelled after the episode High Flying Dukes.
  18. Hoss I'm not sure whether this will be a help or hinderence, but the specs for my General are 26 inch wheels Crank and pedals-9 inches Handlebar end diameter-1/4 inch The flag and "General Lee" text are on the top bar of the frame, and the "01" is on the bottom bar. The "01" is 3.5 inches long and the flag and text are 12.5 inches long. If you're feeling really creative its also got two bell horns, saddle tan saddle and handlebar grips,an orange rear fender 14 inches long, and a wrap around front fender (silver). If you've any queries or problems please don't hesitate to ask me. I'm happy to share my knowledge with everyone
  19. Alex its not that easy to make a bicycle. Hoss can make our other strange requests because he has the templates saved already. But he hasn't made a bicycle before so it takes more time.
  20. Hoss I can give you the measurements for my General if you want.
