What makes The Dukes so popular, is that it represents the Zeitgeist of the time which was ( and still is by many, especially people around here) , the best time in history! ZEITGEIST * the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time:

What I'm Doing Right Now!

Something I Noticed: I'm watching the one that has Bo N Luke ( because of their NASCAR experience) " Layin' out the course".....would you really NEED any experience in NASCAR to lay out a race track? Besides ( This is one I never caught until a few days/nights ago) , NASCAR is one big oval but the car race in Hazzard had twists and turns etc. so their " NASCAR experience" wouldn't mean anything! LOL!

I also like the guy who was in several of Eastwood's movies as a bad guy and he played a bad guy in a DOH episode......can't think....the guy who put racing engines in old jalopies and had them smuggled out. He ran a demolition derby.....?? He was the ring leader of the motorcycle gang in Every Which Way but Loose and Any Which Way You Can

I'm big on Eastwood. I've got about 34 of his movies! I'm surprised I never noticed him!
