  1. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  2. kidney As in the British dish steak and kidney pie (or pudding).

  4. Dang it, they're not my size . It's interesting to note that the packaging says "Daisy Duke" in big letters and "From The Dukes Of Hazzard" in really small letters, and has none of the show's logos anywhere. The bidding timed out just as I checked out Brian's link, and it didn't receive any bids, so I'm sure it will be relisted.
  5. You say salmon and I say pink, You like tomato and I like tomahto, Salmon, pink, tomato, tomahto, Let's call the whole thing off. Apologies to George and Ira Gershwin, but MaryAnne has got it right again. Q. In 'The Law and Jesse Duke', Rosco and Cletus protest for more pay after reading the headline "Chickasaw Police Win Strike". What newspaper did they read it in?: A) Chickasaw Gazette Chickasaw Herald C) Chickasaw Post D) Chickasaw Times E) Chickasaw Chronicle
  6. Well done CD, another member joins the elite band . I hope you get a chance to finish your bike when you return from your holiday.

  8. MaryAnne has the right answer - does she know all the answers, or answer all the ones she knows?. Q. In the same episode, Turk not only steals Cooter's race car, he also steals his racing coveralls. What color are they?: A) Yellow Green C) Red D) Blue E) Pink

  11. I can see the defense argument already ... "No Mr. Best, we promised you 5% of 5% of 5% of all Dukes of Hazzard merchandising revenue containing Sheriff Rosco's likeness."
  12. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  13. Well done to the pair of you. Q. In 'Luke's Love Story', what was the number of Cooter's green and yellow race car (that gets stolen by Turk)?.

  15. There are a few videos of the crash on YouTube, none of them professional quality - here's one of them:
  16. Looks like I've got y'all stumped. Hint: Think of a Civil War commander before he made general.

  19. The answer I was looking for was 'Bonner State Prison': Q. In 'Cletus Falls in Love' a poor delivery driver attempts to cross the road to the bakery with a tray of pies. What's the name of the pie company on the delivery truck?.
  20. Just like when news of Peggy Rea's death broke earlier this year, there only seems to be one source for this story at the moment. Wikipedia and IMDb don't have anything about it yet. Sadly, the Peggy Rea story proved to be true, and I suspect this will too. This has been a terrible year for losing cast members. It's almost worse that the story breaks on the day that Jimmie is celebrating his 85th birthday. Condolences to Christopher's family and friends.
  21. Looks like the Volo car didn't get any bids this time. I also checked out the Jalen Rose car (see above). As far as I can tell it sold for $100k - which is good for his charity. It's now up for sale again: 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee The new owner has replaced Jalen's custom decals with standard General Lee ones and put it up for sale at $99,999.00 or best offer, even though it still has the wrong wheels. Either way, if you've got $100k burning a hole in your pocket, it's meant to be 1 of 4 that survived the TV series.

  24. There's a reason that Lizzy was confident about poodles: Does anyone remember anybody in Hazzard owning a poodle?. A later episode adds the name 'Pauline's Poodle Parlor'. PS. Happy Birthday Lizzy - I hope you got something more than a point in the trivia contest . Q. Name the prison that appears in 'Opening Night at the Boar's Nest'.
  25. I forgot to post a link to a blogspot I found whilst writing this thread. Check out dearoldhollywood.blogspot.com for a load of pictures of Hollywood filming locations. The link above highlights some Warner Bros films, and includes some great hi-resolution pictures of how Hazzard Square looks today (click on the pictures to enlarge them). It also shows how the backlots we're familiar with have been used in many other shows and movies over the years.
