My 1000th Post
I think the next 1000 posts will go much faster than the first 1000. Khee! Of course, I AM the Supreme Superior Commander and I could just add a few zeros to my post count. ROFL. But I'll be honest...

Oh yeah, you can too believe I went there. LOL. I bet you would've been surprised if I hadn't. Khee! I don't much care for egg nog tho'. I prefer hot apple cider instead.

Khee! I know that. That goes for me too. But I still like showin' my gratitude.

The No Santa Claus Clause Challenge!
Nevermind. I'm a little dense lately. Chock it up to too many late night patrols. Khee!

MaryAnne and I would never do such a thing. If any posts complimentary to Brian were deleted, it's due to some technical glitch. As we all know, HazzardNet is sentient and tends to do its own thing every once in a while. We can't help it if it likes to tease Brian on occasion.

My 1000th Post
Alex, tell me just what buildings in Hazzard are tall enough to warrant an elevator? LOL. I haven't decided on the bonus yet, but rest assured, I give better bonuses than Boss Hogg... by a longshot. Khee!

If you think the chains of command are interesting, you should see the whips!

If there's one thing you're good at, Brian, it's taking backhanded compliments.

My 1000th Post
Oh, I forgot to add that the drawing will be on December 15th. And sorry, HazzardNet moderators aren't eligible. LOL. Y'all will be getting a Christmas bonus tho'.

My 1000th Post
I just realized that I have 999 posts and decided to mark the milestone with a special 1000th post. Now, I know many of you folks have more posts than me. The ol' Meadowmufn has been pretty busy and hasn't been able to keep up with a lot of you younguns (and a few olduns). LOL. I wanted to use this post to sincerely thank all of HazzardNet's wonderful members that have made this website home and have helped me, Brian, and MaryAnne build HNet into a thriving Dukes of Hazzard community. Y'all are like a second family... kinda dysfunctional, but family nonetheless. It's hard to believe I created my first Dukes of Hazzard website over 12 years ago. That website evolved into HazzardNet and HazzardNet will be celebrating its 10th anniversary next year! (I'll be doing a separate post on that later.) Most of all, I want to thank Brian and MaryAnne. Without them, I'm not sure HazzardNet would still be around. They've been here to keep things going when I haven't been able to. They've always been there to lift me up during the bad times and share the joy during the good times. I am eternally grateful to them. They'll always have a special place in my heart. Heartfelt mush, cousins. Now, for the fun stuff! I'm going to give away a 2009 16 Month Dukes of Hazzard Calendar to someone who posts in this thread. Each person that posts in this thread will get one entry. The winner will be picked by random. Good luck!!! And my heartfelt thanks to all of you!

For you prayin' folks...

Fact about Denver Pyle I didn't know before
Roger, one of my favorite places for info on my favorite actors is IMDB. Here's Denver's page there: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0701500/

Christmas comes earlier every year....
I've had "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" running through my head for the past few weeks.

Oh, I actually understand Brian quite well. Ain't dat a scary thought? LOL.- The No Santa Claus Clause Challenge!
I may have found a loophole in that Claus, er... Clause. LOL. So, we need some clarification. Is that no mention of "Santa Claus" meaning the proper name (i.e. you can say "Saint Nick", "Father Christmas", "Kris Kringle", etc, etc) or no mention of the "person" regardless of name variations?- Red
BAHAHAHAHA!!! So true, Roger. Tho' there are a few Dukes fans I still don't understand either... LOL.- so here's what I do
Beautiful paintings, arty! Congrats on the sale.- My General Lee at Famous Local Landmarks
Awesome, TomBo!! Thanks for sharing those pics.- Happy Thanksgiving 2008!
Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! I hope you all had a great turkey day!- dukesfest 2009?
Brian and I have a bit of insight into what goes on to put together a DukesFest. And believe me, it's the economy. We were surprised they even had DukesFest this year, what with $4 a gallon gas. It must've cost a fortune for the fans to get there, let alone the General Lee owners that gave rides. Now, since it appears we all agree that it's the ECONOMY now, Emy, could you just leave this thread alone? All you seem to be doing is antagonizing the other folks trying to have a discussion here. DukesFest would not have continued if John and Elly hadn't taken it over. That's a fact. We're lucky the fans got one more year out of it. Any more DukesFests will be a bonus. And the rest of you, I know Emy can be trying sometimes, but please keep the conversation a little more civil. Insults are not needed.- A note...
We're not asking for things to be the way they were. I think things have changed significantly. We're realists and know that things will never be the same. All we're asking is for you to be open to dialog and see where it goes. Like Sheep said, there's no timeline involved. Relationships take time. And yes, they do take patience. I have advised Alex to have patience in all this (it's a virtue, after all) and let you decide when the time is right to talk. What worried me was that it didn't seem like you were even considering talking, so that's why I've been trying to encourage dialog between you two. I'm sorry if it seemed like pressuring, as that wasn't my intention. I just don't like seeing conflict between folks I like and admire. Your last post has given me some encouragement. A slow start is better than standing still. And if I haven't already mentioned it yet, welcome back!- A note...
Nice try, Bri. You obviously haven't seen my yard... LOL. However, in this economy, hedonism travel packages might be a nice little niche sideline for ya. People are gonna want to forget their miseries and at 20% off, folks can afford to.- A note...
As hard as it might be for some of you to believe, I don't enjoy conflict or drama. LOL. If there's any way for things to be resolved, I hope you guys will try. And Brian, how come I wasn't invited for a night of hedonism?- A note...
Very well said, Sheep. I concur. - Red
