  1. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. Dad is back home today. He has a tough road ahead, lots of changes he'll have to make to treat his condition, but sounds like he'll be fine as long as he follows doctor's orders.
  2. A Happy Thanksgiving to all US Dukes fans. For all the rest of you around the world, I hope you have plenty to be thankful for as well!
  3. I got an update from my mom this evening. Dad was discharged this afternoon, but a few hours later he was rushed back to the ER. He'll be in the hospital for 3-4 days while they monitor him.
  4. Virtual hugs are appreciated too. Thanks.
  5. It might not be your computer this time, Rog. HazzardNet had some issues between 7:30 and 8:00 this morning, so if you tried posting then, that might've been the problem.
  6. I would appreciate if you folks could keep my family and especially my dad in your thoughts and prayers. He's he in the hospital right now. This is his second visit this year. He's undergoing a lot of tests and as you can imagine, I'm worried about him, especially since I can't travel to see him at the moment.
  7. It's Hoss' birthday today! Happy birthday, Hoss!
  8. Welcome to HazzardNet!

  9. Since this topic has come up again, I have some additions... Columbo Lost In Space The Fugitive The Invaders Magnum PI (still working on getting all seasons) Warehouse 13 Twilight Zone Star Trek (TOS, TNG, DS9) You notice a heavy Sci-Fi theme? And in case any of our UK folks decry the lack of Doctor Who on my list, it's on my Christmas list, as is The Avengers ("Mrs. Peel, we're needed."). I'm slowly replacing all my VHS copies.
  10. Welcome to HazzardNet, GeneralLeeJumpFan!
  11. I just wanted to post an update. Rusty is out of the hospital and is doing much better. Looks like he's on the mend. We never know what life holds for us, so don't forget to hug your loved ones and tell them you love them OFTEN.
  12. Event Announcement! Double Dukes Chat Along December 7, 2013 Dates and Times (<-- Click link for dates and times in your area)
  13. I'm pretty sure I can guess why you wanted to PM after not being very active on HNet for a while. I can also see that others who haven't been active here in a while have logged in. I'm sure they're here for the same reason, so I've moderated their accounts as well. In case you were not aware, using another person's forums to recruit members to other forums is bad etiquette. The point of this forum is discussion of the topic, not recruiting for your own interests. If you're not going to join in the discussion and are only here for recruiting, please leave. If someone is found to be recruiting for other sites, they will be banned. HazzardNet members, if you've been sent a recruiting PM, please let me know.
  14. Sounds good to me, start an hour earlier... So 4pm eastern? (I'll get a date/time link set up.) Everyone ok with Double Dukes?
  15. Anyone up for another chat along? I'm thinking maybe December 7th. Perhaps we can do two episodes this time, Daisy's Song and Mary Kaye's Baby?
  16. I will be interested in seeing your progress on this. Please keep us posted (with pictures, if possible)!
  17. I'm not even going to pretend the Mariners have a chance. LOL!
  18. I would have thought Hugh Hefner would have sponsored an "O". I apologize for that. "Bad, Mufn! Bad!"
  19. I have tried to weed out those kinds of stories over the years because they are unreadable and there have been complaints. Unfortunately, there are a lot of them. I have banned people who have harassed people to write and not stopped even when asked personally by me... and I don't ban people lightly. I tend to give 2nd chances (and third and fourth and fifth and...), but there are some things I just won't abide. If you have an issue with another member, please PM me about it and I'll look into it. I try to keep things respectful here, so I do appreciate you not naming names publicly. One recourse you do have is to rate threads. You can rate good stories highly and poor stories low. Occasionally, poorly rated threads will be "retired" to the Retired fiction forums. Writers can still work on them, but they won't clutter up the "active" threads. Seems it might be time for another clean up. Thanks.
  20. Only if the other two don't work for you. You mentioned you'd had problems with them, Rog, so that's why I suggested the mobile/HTML for you.
  21. Dukes of Hazzard Chat Along 101 Once a month or more, Dukes fans get together at HazzardNet at the same time across the globe to watch the same episode of Dukes of Hazzard on DVD and share comments about the show. If you'd like to participate in our Dukes of Hazzard chat alongs: 1. Check the event schedule to see when the next event is. 2. A half hour or so before the event, make sure you have your DVD ready to go. 3. On the day of the event, make sure to show up at least 15 minutes ahead of time and "check in" to the HazzardNet chatroom and say howdy to let us know you're ready to go. 4. The host will let everyone know a particular scene in the beginning to cue your dvd to. When the host posts the command to start playing, press play on your dvd player. 5. After viewing starts, post your comments on the show. Or if this is your first event and you just want to get accustomed to it, sit back and watch what others are saying. 6. Have fun!
  22. I will add that to the above post for tomorrow's event & create new ones for subsequent events.
