NASCAR has only one number which was in modified. They retired #61 after Tichie Evens death in 1985. So it doesn't look like NASCAR retires numbers as they do in other sports. Though I do believe they should retire the #24 and #48 after Johnson retires. Because 24 will always be Jeff Gordon (sorry William Byron...he can drive #25!) #48 will always be Jimmie Johnson. Just saying... Whose Dad has no contact info? Bubba's? Who else owns Petty Motorsports?

I agree. Life would be perfect if it were like Hazzard County. I so hope they find this person and can press charges. Its horrible...I just can't understand why anyone would even think of doing this, not alone to do it. It saddens me. As I said, I would think they could charge whoever with a hate crime for this. Or something like that. There has to be something. There's no reason anyone should get away with this in my opinion.

I saw that. I also just read an article that Bubba Wallace, NASCAR only African American, found a noose in his garage area. It just breaks my heart to see things turn to this. I can't even imagine how he must feel. Things like this is why people assume the flag stands for hate. I really hope they find whoever is responsible for this...

They just can't figure out restrictor plate races. Either irs follow the leader or its covered in a lot of huge accidents. I remember years ago. it may have been after the Carl Edwards accident at Talladega, they slowed the cars down a lot. It was follow the leader from start to finish...and Tony Stewart was acting like he was so bored he was sleeping. NASCAR then changed it up some. There has to be some in between state they can find... No baseball, no football, very short NASCAR season...my heart is seriously breaking. As much as I love my Chicago Bears football , I could possibly live without a season (especially if its going to be like last season...) but baseball and NASCAR? Its horrible!

Well NASCAR's All Star Race moved to Bristol in July. Which I'm happy about. But they are moving the car numbers from the doors to the back of the car to add more room for sponsors. Supposedly that's what the drivers want and they are doing it to experiment with it. I vote to stick with doors...but they don't ask me. So I guess it is what it is...

They sound dangerous and entertaining! LOL Hoss at what Fangio said. I bet it's hard for them to drive and not speed on the normal roads. I remember Jeff Gordon saying he got pulled over for speeding while he was on the phone with Dale Earnhardt Jr. He said he could tell the cop wasn't impressed that he was Jeff Gordon so he asked him if he wanted to talk to Jr. And Jr got him out of a ticket. It cracked me up...don't know why. LOL. Anyway, it's good to be back.

The Cubs have yet to lose a game and the Cardinals have yet to win a game! Gotta think positive, right?

On NASCAR news Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, and Bubba Wallace have all dropped Beam (they design their helmets) for Beams tweet criticism of NASCAR banning the Confederate Flag at their races.

Yeah I don't wear my shirts anymore nor talk about it. I really don't know how to feel about it. I never thought of them being a racist show nor thought the flag on the car stood with racism. But I do see where people would cone to the conclusion that it does since slavery and all that was fought for by the people carrying the same flag.

I'm just really down that they are casting a big shadow over the Dukes by making them look racist or anyone who likes the show. I'm not racist and hate the thought of someone thinking I am just because of a show. But I do see where people are coming from by associating the flag with it...even if that's not what it was intended to mean. If all that makes sense...
