  1. There is hope and something to look forward to. It just cant get here soon enough! Never lose hope in your Pirates...tho I'm hoping for a 2016 repeat from my Cubbies!
  2. Thank you Roger. It was a rough way to lose the game. But they had the best season since forever. I mean they went from 5-11 last year to 12-4 this year. I thought of you too when I heard the Steelers didn't make it. Guess we'll have to wait til next year for our Bears and Steelers Super Bowl. I so cant wait for NASCAR and baseball season. Life will be good again. 42 more days until Daytona 500!
  3. Well if anyone is wondering... There is SIXTY LONG DAYS until the Daytona 500. Now that Christmas has come and went...it cant get here quick enough. I guess until then I will enjoy my Bears playing in the post season with fingers crossed that they make it to the Superbowl. (After Jimmie Johnson rough 2018 season...I think I deserve the Bears winning the Superbowl. )
  4. I was doing so good in o e of the five leagues I'm in. But didn't do so well this week I guess. I went from first to fourth. My Bears better win the Super bowl this year...
  5. I saw that about your Steelers and thought of you. Hope they have a perfect game next week. Tho I'll be excited to have you be a Bears fan! I will have to check on Yahoo. Last year they didn't and I did fantasy NASCAR through nascar.com which was fun, but not the same.
  6. They played good last weekend. They play Jeff Gordon's 49ers on Sunday. (Gordon favorite team) and then off to the Vikings first their last season game. Have to admit, I came into this season not expecting much since the last two years have been pretty tough. But they proved me wrong. So glad to be wrong. I think Matt Nagy adds alot to the team as the new coach...and Kahil Mack woke up out defense. And Mitchell Trubisky is stepping up as the QB. Fingers crossed they have a great playoff. Hope your Steelers will do good for you too. Tho with two games remaining for the season...that means only a game or two left for fantasy. Then I have to wait for NASCAR season to start up for any more fantasy...ugh!
  7. No problem. I love talking NASCAR.
  8. Great comparison, Hoss. At least with the ATM withdrawal you get money out of it. Only thing I get with my NASCAR withdrawal is that every day that passes, is a day closer to Daytona. So I do got a couple of NASCAR news tho. Jamie McMurray will join the FOX team of announcers for the races as he is stepping away from the number 1 car. Don't know how newsworthy this is, but Rick Hendrick has noted that he has pegged Jeff Gordon to replace him of team ownership of Hendrick Motorsports when he steps down. Hendrick says that wont be anytime soon tho. Gordon already has a minority ownership in Hendrick Motorsports as he owns over half of Jimmie Johnson's car.
  9. I saw they were playing the Vikings and was so happy the Seahawks won. Kasey Kahne likes the Seahawks too. Congrats on your fantasy teams Roger. That is great. Yeah its probably best they aren't in the same division as the Steelers...you'd probably have me deleted from HNet.
  10. Lucky you Roger. I dont have cable and my TV doesnt get NBC for some reason so just had to check my phone. Was really surprised when I woke up and saw they won. So happy...they may actually have a chance this year. Sorry your Steelers lost. The Bears lost last week to the Giants who only won three before their game...so I feel where you are coming from. Which was why I was fearing their game against the Rams. Am glad they bounced back when it counted the most. Hopefully your Steelers will too. (Just be grateful the Bears got Kahil Mack when they did from the Raiders...)
  11. I'm in 5 leagues this year...but am only winning in one. So I have hope for one league. And in those leagues, I dont recall having any Steelers. Will have to check. I have Burton and Trubisky in a few leagues, dont think I have Robinson. But he would be a great one to have. Good luck in your leagues Roger. Oh and by the way its not depressing this year to be a Bears fan. This is the best year they've had in like forever! LOL. They beat the Rams last night. They are sitting pretty at number one in their division.
  12. Wow ..he had a great night! And so did those who started him. NFL league thread would be fun. Not as much as NASCAR, but still fun. Especially when the Bears win the Super Bowl. I just read the Bears have four players leading votes for the pro bowl. Kahil Mack has 400,000 more votes in his position. They havent had a player in the Pro bowl for a few years now. But then again when they go to the Super bowl that wont matter. It's the thought that counts. ;)
  13. Just checked...my cousin has Derrick Henry 9n her team. He have a good game last night?
  14. I dont know if they had Derrick Henry or not...I'll have to check. Talking about fantasy sports and NASCAR...you want to join my league next year? Anyone?
  15. I love Waylon Jennings...my cat's name is Waylon. Great answer Roger and that would be a great game, but you got the scores mixed around. And the Bears got one of the best defense in their devision now that they got Kahil Mack with Prince Amukamara and the rest. No one gets through Mack...but I'd like to watch you play against them. But maybe Roger could get through them...definitely not the Steelers.
  16. LOL Roger. Love this post. Glad your favorite QB outside of the Steelers is a Bears QB. So what if my Bears play your Steelers in the Super bowl and Chase Daniel's was playing? Not to detour your line of thought, but you know what Chase Elliott full name is? William Clyde "Chase" Elliott ll. Makes you wonder how they get Chase out of that...but it's a good thing he goes by Chase. For your post and it would be confusing having two William's at Hendricks Motorsports. (William Byron). Maybe there us hope that you may come to good side in football afterall...
  17. That is cool that you met or know one of the players. Sorry that he is hurt. Hate seeing anyone get hurt. I'm the same...but backwards. I think of you with the Steelers and Pirates and hope they win for you....except when they play my Bears or Cubs. They do need Trubisky this weekend with the Rams. Am nervous about the game, but I believe in the Bears. Tho will admit was impressed with the Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniels.
  18. Ouch Roger...that stings. I think you hot the score backwards. Bears win all the way. LOL. As far as Trubisky goes, he is still questionable for this weekend. But he played ping pong with Prince Amukamara the other day (another AWESOME Bears player. ) so maybe he's on his way to recovery. They play the Rams this weekend...so am nervous about that. But I'm sure the Rams will earn their second loss of the season against the Bears. Did you see those Steeler fans fighting yet? There was two different fights during the same game. You Steeler fans are violent so hopefully they wont allow you in the Super bowl game. Gotta protect all Bears fans. You may have bad taste in football and baseball teams, but at least you like Chase Elliott.
  19. Thank you for posting this. Made my night! And helped with my withdrawals. I figured his clean shaven look wouldn't last too long after Homestead.
  20. Thank you Hoss. Miss being on here with you all In other words I shouldn't complain about 76 days? As exciting as it was to see Johnson switch rides...he better be back behind the 48 NASCAR car cone Daytona. Tho it's going to be wrong to see him without Lowes and Chad Knaus.
  21. You are too kind Roger. I miss being on here with you all more. Im excited for Christmas too...my withdrawals will only get worse after Christmas. That'd be a great Super Bowl. Of course my Bears would win. No one gets past Kahil Mack.
  22. Thanks Hoss for the pictures. Saw and knew Jimmie Johnson was there, but didn't know about Gordon. My favorites right there. Talking about favorites...y'all hear there is a new most popular driver? Dale Jr won it like 20 years in a row. No Jimmie Johnson didn't win it...be cool though if he did. Nope... Chase Elliott is the new most popular driver of the year. At least one of my guys won something this year. Sorry I've been quiet. Life just gets in the way. I'm on my phone now so sorry if I'm not making much sense. Only 76 more days until Daytona 500. Luckily my Bears are doing good this year, so it's been helping my NASCAR withdrawals. But still...76 long days away...
  23. Thank you Roger. Sadly I missed Chase Elliott's win, but I was so excited for him. Also missed Bristol last week...but did see that a fan tried getting into a fight with Kyle Busch. He was riding his golf cart to his hauler. He had stopped to sign a fan's autograph. Then got back on when another fan grabbed him or hit him in the chest. He got off and the security guards separated them. Saw the video of it and it just upsets me. The fans surrounding them and the one taking the video was cussing him out, booing him. Cheering on that fan that attacked him. I get that everyone has that one driver or more that they don't like or can't stand. I even get that Kyle Busch can rub fans the wrong way. For the longest time I couldn't stand watching him win and he irritated me with how drove and acted...but also am the first one to admit that he has changed and matured since he got married. Also am the first one to say, whether you love him or hate him, you got to respect and acknowledge his talent on the track and how he can win at any track and anything with a steering wheel. I also remember at a driver introduction a few years back where they introduced him and all the fans booed him...he didn't even do anything other than step onto the stage! As I said, I know that fans seem to always have a driver or two that they don't like (I even have my own...) but I don't agree with the booing him and definitely not attacking him like that. NASCAR is probably the one sport that allows fans down with the drivers (athletes) and fans like that is going to be the ones who will ruin that for everyone else. Not that, that will ever effect me, because I don't for see a NASCAR race in my future sadly, but still frustrating... A lot of this is my opinion. Feel free to disregard it. I am not a Kyle Busch fan, but also have to respect his talent and what he can do on the track. My two cents...for how little it is worth.
  24. Thanks Roger. Time is limited so I barely get on my computer any more. Tried HNet earlier and it wouldn't let me on.. NASCAR seems to be going through a rough transition where drivers are retiring and sponsorship is a problem. Hard to imagine Martin Truex Jr would be looking for a ride after last year and this year...then again it's hard to believe that Jimmie Johnson has made it this far into the season without a win. Or really competed for the win for that matter. But then again, this year seems to be all about Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Martin Truex Jr. They are racing at Bristol tomorrow night...my favorite track. My favorite race. Night racing at Bristol. Hoping to see that 48 in Victory Lane...or at least close to it. He needs points. LOL.
  25. I saw that. I also read where Tom Wopat will serve a year probation for his troubles as well as another review after the year is up. Sad to see them both in trouble with the law like this...
