  1. Very understandable...time does fly and I bet those are time consuming. But I bet very worthwhile - they sound to be good Christmas gifts! Glad to hear all is well there. It is freezing cold here...Monday night (I think) through Wedensday it snowed and and all that off and on. In fact the day care I work at closed for it Wednesday so I got a free day off fro m it. I am so ready for spring and Winter isn't even officially here yet.

  2. Thank-you for the help Roger.

  3. LOL. HI Daisy. HOw are you?

  4. BRRRR TexasDaisy...sounds way too cold for me. Right now and throughout today I can hear the wind outside my window. It sounds like tonight and tomorrow is suppose to be cold here as well. It was today too, had to take my dog out a few times and she did not like it. Boy who doesn't like a day off? LOL. I enjoy each day off I can get...unless it is to go to the doctors or what not, then I'd rather be at work. LOL. But a free day off due to weather, that is the only positive thing that comes from the winter. Of course all of that is my own opinion. Glad he likes his job so much...I like mine as well, though do enjoy time away as well.
  5. I agree it wasn't the most exciting race as Dega normally is, but also agree with NASCAR that the announcers talked about it a lot and too often. A journalist or someone from ESPN said the announcers job was to say what his happening on and off the track and to stay impartial. Had to kinda laugh at that when they said they were just doing their job, because I don't find the announcers at ESPN to be all that impartial. I guess that is my opinion.

They said Darrell Waltrip and Kyle Petty were just as outspoken as they are and they encourage that. To me, Waltrip and Petty are more positive than they are. (My opinion of course).

OK the article didn't say anything new, but had to say something of NASCAR. Sorry to bore you with it. ;)

  6. Hope everything is OK with you. . .Also hope I didn't bore you to death with all my other posts! As I told you, once I start talking NASCAR, I can't stop.

Just read an article on NASCR.com about Dega's race...NASCAR didn't appreciate the ESPN's announcers criticizing their decisions before the race and what not - about bump drafting not being aloud and will be punished. Found it ironic that they just posting that now, about a month later. LOL. I think what they had a problem with was how much the complained about the single file racing and their choice.

  7. The Night the Lights went out in Georgia - Reba
  8. LOL Roger I know the feeling. Another quote from "Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane" (I am not a hundred percent sure it was Boss who said it, but I think it was him.) To Rosco or Cletus: "You wouldn't find the floor if you fell out of bed"
  9. You forget about me? Or are you just ignoring me? LOL. (Just joking) How are you?

  10. Hi Roger...I had a question about an episode and instantly thought of you. It is probably one that I could look up myself by watching the episode, but feel too lazy to do it at the moment (plus would interrupt my writing for my xmas story) so I thought I'd ask you. Swamp Molly...how is she related to Jesse and the rest of the Dukes? As well as Alice...I know they call her Cousin ALice so I assume she is a cousin. Also how is Alice related to Molly?

Maybe they don't really say in the episode and if not, you probably wouldn't know, but thought I'd at least ask and see what you know about them. Thanks!

  11. Daney - out of curiosity, if it was a nice experience then why are you struggling with Hazzard County? Sorry if I am prying, you don't have to answer it if you don't want to, just something that got me wondering. I'd hate to see anyone struggling with Hazzard or the Dukes.
  12. Well I guess I owe you a thanks now Roger since I got a free day off today . YAY...at least something positive came about with this snow and wind. I watched my first two Duke episodes in what seems to be forever! I watched "The Great Santa Clause Chase" for Christmas and then went back an episode and watched "Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane". It was great to see the boys and Uncle Jesse once more. You almost have to laugh with Bo when he begins to laugh. Gotta love the Dukes...and now I am finally motivated to write. Now if only my muses would work with me, my day would be perfect! So thanks Roger for cursing on the snow. (Though tomorrow I may feel differently when I actually have to drive in it to work unless by some far off chance I get another day off. Which I find very unlikely)
  13. BRRR TexasDaisy. I am glad that you had help with all that. Sounds like we'll be getting the wind tonight and tomorrow as well. Thanks Roger, that would be appreciated. Hopefully I will not need Cooter, but you never know with my car. It don't do well with stopping in the snow/ice or turning. (hope you know I was only giving you a hard time). All is forgiven...especially if they cancel work due to it. We already are starting two hours late...I can surely use the extra sleep. (Fingers crossed that they close...then at least one good thing will come out of this dang weather. LOL...almost as bad as I was in school hoping for a snow day.)
  14. Silent Night (Roger...I am getting the idea that you like Elvis or something )
  15. All I want for Christmas is a real good Tan - Kenny Chesney
  16. I want to thank you Roger...I think you have cursed me and cursed me good you did. LOL. It has snowed off and on today...we are predicted to have six to twelve inches of snow and have blizzard like condition starting at midnight through the entire day. Plus cold weather to top it all off. Yeah...thanks a lot Roger . Sorry couldn't help myself, afterall, someone has to be to blame. Right? I guess Winter is unofficially here.
  17. I have just began a Christmas story...hopefully I can have it finished by Christmas.
  18. A reason to live for - Tim McGraw
  19. Cowboy
  20. I can live with a warmer winter...or at least not as much snow. I agree with you about worrying about loved ones and accidents. I feel the same way. Mine are safe drivers as well but you never know what may or could happen. Hopefully everyone and all that we know can and will have a safe winter.

  22. Seeing the title of this thread, got me thinking that there was no challenge for Christmas. There is still a few days to write one if wanted to. Perhaps I can think of a short one to write...something that may kick my other muses in gear. LOL. Nice idea, Daney! Thanks!
  23. (Yes...that is from Lori Morgan. Though you do have me stumped on another song with either of those words in it. LOL)

  25. First of all, thank-you Roger for posting your post here...it gives me some comfort knowing that I am not the only one stuck in Hazzard county. I agree...the realistic part of me realizes the Dukes are just a TV show and that the actors, actresses, producers, creater, writers, and all the other people it took to create and put the Dukes on TV left behind at the end of each working day. And at the end of the show, they had just left the characters and the show behind to work on "new" shows and new things to help finance them and their families. True they made appearances had Dukefests for all the fans to enjoy and it all is great and am very glad and grateful that they took time out in their busy and hectic schedules to do that...to visit the fans and to keep the show alive. If not for that, I would never had the special occasions to meet as many of the living actors as I did from the show or get their autographs. But the adventures of Bo and Luke, Boss and Rosco, Jesse, Daisy, and Cooter had all seemed to lay to rest with the end of the show and at the end of the reunions (though I agree, am not a big fan of the reunions myself. Though am always glad to see something or anything to do with the original Duke characters.) Though I know the Dukes is just a "show" it is also more than just a show as you pointed out Roger. It is something special and something I will always concider one of my favorites no matter how outdated it seems to be. Hazzard is a place I would dream of living in, being able to know Bo, Luke, daisy, Jesse, and Cooter as well as the law would be great. To live in a place to watch the excitement and drama of the Dukes vs the local law and allt he other bad guys/gals that visited Hazzard time in and time out, yet knowing at the end, there will be an happy ending. That all will be Ok when it all ends. To know the good always wins and where everyone respects one another, helps one another, would be great. I doubt that there is a person on this site that wouldn't love to live in Hazzard, to be able to witness first hand The General outbeating the local compitition or the law, or just to know the characters of the show. In a word to sum up living in Hazzard would be "awesome". So in short, Roger, I agree with you. I have seen a few episodes of Smallville and do own a few Schneider and a Wopat CD as well as seen a few other shows that they have been in - it is not the same. I have never seen Christmas comes to Willow Creek - though I would love to do so. I am a fan of Tom, John, Ben, James and all the actors and actresses on the show, but I agree with you Roger -I am a much bigger fan of Bo, Luke, Daisy, Jesse, Cooter, Boss, and Rosco, Enos. I guess in other words, Roger, I am trying to say - you are not the only one to feel that way.
