  1. Poor Daisy Mae! I tried to warn ya though, Daisy, about makin' them curtains. Hope your stay ain't too long.
  2. Thanks BL ...I had a hard time believing y'all enjoyed jail so much you were excited about decorating it for your stay. Though I also believe that Hogg may have a thing or two to say about you decorating his jail.
  3. You know by decorating the cell as you are describing, it makes it look as if you enjoy being locked up in the cell...kinda like making it yer home. Wouldn't it be easier to just stay a step ahead of the law and not get caught? That way you can keep all your pretty little flowers and curtains at home where you can actually enjoy them. And stay free all at the same time!
  4. Well Daney looks like your still locked up...thought by now you woulda broke bail or something. Maybe you are in need of a little help of *whispers through the bars* finding a way way out. Just call on me, sure I can think of a way out. In the mean time, I hope the cot and the whole cell is a lot more comfortable than it was the last time I was in there for you.
  5. WooHoo congrats Texas Daisy on the weight loss and keeping with your resolution! I am very proud and happy for you! Keep up the great work. As for mine...I've done so-so. I've talked to my sister at least once a week so far, but haven't called her each time.(Does that count?) But thanks for the reminder Daisy, I still need to call her this week to say hi.
  6. GUESS WHAT? GUESS WHAT? Give up yet? LOL...tomorrow will mark a month left to wait for Daytona 500! 31 more days! WooHoo!!!!!!!!! Too bad January has 31 days instead of 30, otherwise we'd have only 30 days to wait. A month to go til Daytona! Yee - Haaa! As Bo would say...still a month still seems to be forever away. Can't Daytona be this Sunday? ;)

  7. Poor Daney! Hopefully she can have some visitors.
  8. HA HA. For once you caught me! LOL. I'm on my way to chat right now!

  9. I have to agree, Roger...that was a great poem! Never knew Uncle Jesse could be so good at writing a poem and so quick! Congrats on your refound freedom.

  12. I bet it has been!

  13. Hi Daney...thank-you for voting for Hazzard in Trouble. That was a surprise to see that. Though looking at it, it brought about a lot of old memories of writing RRs and RPs - something I haven't done in what seems to be forever. It was a lot of fun. Thank-you for the vote. :D (Though I do believe you left out or forgot to mention that you perticipated in writing the story as well! Give yourself at least some credit for it. LOL ;) )

  14. My word: Hazzard Garage Age Are Hazard Gaze Haze Hard Gage Had Hard Drag Ear Rare Hare New Word: Waylon Jennings
  15. Awww sorry that I missed you RedneckGirl!!!!! I hope you had a good day today and that tomorrow will be great as well!

  16. Thank-you Daney! Hope you enjoyed what I have so far.
  17. Ok...I have been reading and following this thread from the beginning, but haven't made a post due to having mixed emotions about it and not wanting to step on anyone's toes. I can see both sides of it to some degree. Back when I started out several years ago, I use to RR and RP and had fun doing it. But that has been awhile now...due to not finding a story I am interested in writing in and due to my lack of time. One line stories are frustrating and discouraging especially to see so many out there, especially looking back to how the RRs and the RPs use to be back when I perticipated in them. But at the same time, are their stories really hurting anyone? Perhaps they could have a different section dedicated to those types of stories that way if you like that sort of story you can go there. If not, go elsewhere. As I said, I don't like the one line story posts as the others here have stated, but no one is making you read them. Everyone has different styles in writing and different levels in talent in writing and perhaps some don't have the time to write very detailed posts. Maybe some of them work hard to get that one line in and to them, they think it makes sense or like it for some reason or another. I don't know, but it isn't up to me to judge their writing or their talent (I know I don't have the best talent or the best stories out there!) As I said, I have very mixed up feelings about this because I do agree with Chet and everyone that feels the same way and have for awhile now. It does get old seeing the same kind of stories around or what not, but I chose to ignore them. But I am also concerned about the authors of the one liner posted stories. and of chasing them off or making them feel unwanted. I guess there is no win-win situation here and the solution is hard to come by to solve the problem. Maybe starting anew would be best...a fresh start at a new year, but also have a section for the one liners stories to go? I don't know. Well there is my two cents on the topic...
  18. You are very welcome! As I h ad said earlier, I sympathise with you. I am definately in NASCAR withdrawl...of the Sprint Series that is. I guess I should feel lucky that I only have over a month left to wait...but still, it seems to be enternity away!
  19. It is way different than my NASCAR...or the one I am use to. It looks/sounds itneresting and fun. I am happy that you will be able to work for one of the drivers...hope it is the driver you are wanting to work for! That would be fun...but dang...May is such a long ways away. I have a month and a week left to week and that seems to be forever...way too long in any matter! LOL. Though compared to May it is much better, hope your wait will be worth the wait as John Schneider says.
  20. Thanks for the explanation! That sounds WAAAYYYYY different than the NASCAR I watch...and trust me, you say anything NASCAR, I am going to catch up on it! LOL. It sounds interesting and fun to watch. I'll have to do the video at my parents house due to my own slow dial up computer (So I sympathize with you greatly!) Though I do find it hard to believe that anything could be more exciting than NASCAR...my opinion of course. :)

  21. Arm Are Far Muse Mars Mouse Ear Farm House As Horse Hose Ham Sam Rouse Mase New Word: Race Car (Which spells Race car backwards...LOL)
  22. My favorite part of the book? That is a hard question due to how long ago it has been since I read it (not incredably long, but have read a couple of books since reading his book.) and due to how good I thought it was. LOL. I enjoyed the beginning and reading about his growing up and starting out as an actor as well as ALL the pictures. Those are my two favorite things of the book...and of course, loved reading about his Duke ara as well. I can't get enough reading on the Dukes.
  23. Thanks Brian...making it public will probably make it better to keep to it. So far, I haven't done the best job at keeping them, but have done an OK job at a couple of them. I figure maybe it is best to work at a couple at a time before going at them all at the same time. Especially the walking my dog part seeing as how dang cold it has been here! Good luck MaryAnn and GeneralLeeGirl at your resolutions. GeneralLeeGirl - I like your watching more Alberta NASCAR racing. LOL...Being a huge NASCAR fan myself, that is a resolution that would be easy for me to keep (Well once the season starts next month that is.)
  24. First of all...welcome to Hazzardnet. Hope you enjoy it here!

Second of all...I just read your post on the Happy New Year thread and have a question for you. I am a HUGE NASCAR fan (HUGE Jeff Gordon fan...lol) and read that you wanted to watch or follow more Alberta NASCAR. I assume that is in Canada. My question being is it any different NASCAR than what we have down here? Guess I never considered there being other kinds of NASCAR than the one that I follow. Thanks!

    Once again, welcome to Hazzardnet!
